[edit] Shearbank news comment

Just wanting to know what do you mean by that...are you talking about Stickling Mall or all Shearbank in general?--Lithedarkangel 04:14, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Are you refering this this comment?

Perhaps this should be a lesson to any who post on Wiki. The moment you start posting about buildings being taken or survivors rebuilding "X" in a zone, it draws in the zombies like a magnet. If you want to have all your work destroyed and smashed, make sure to post on wiki and invite the dead to come visit. The only way to survive currently is through silence. --Wke235 03:47, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Look at the history for Shearbank. Zombies had moved on an lost interest. People were moving in of their own accord and had taken some buildings. Then someone goes and posts on Wiki that the malll is rebuilding and NT's are being taken. Well, the zombies see that and pour into the zone over the next week, eventually redestroying everything. UNTIL someone started talking on Wiki about progress being made, the zombie hordes were more interested in the developments to the SE and E areas. Once they posted, that sealed their fate.
You will see that I have posted things about Jensentown and Judgewood. The brains their had successfully retaken NT's and many buildings (but had kept quiet about it and left the towns as Ghost towns on the Wiki map to avoid detection). I've blown their cover by changing the status, and now Extinction is putting out calls for troops to come home and wipe them off the map. Wiki is the greatest tool the zombies have, as the egotistic brains like to say we're doing well (even as the total brain POP drops below 9000 and they are outnumbered now 2-1). --Wke235 03:36, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

You are absolutely right about tools, being one i am sure you know all about them. It is a shame that a handful of zergers, extinction and the dead are famous for being zergers and little else, are trying to ruin a nice little game. perhaps you should see if you have that kind of infleunce in your own lives lol well, you can dream cant you :)20:25, 24 March 2008 Humphreybot

You are right in that..the "peace" in that suburb was very short...--Lithedarkangel 05:51, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Overall, this game might be over. The Zeds have done a wonderful job of organizing, and a recruitment driver brought in around 1000 new players (all dedicated zombie fans). Heck, they are even organizing some sweep teams now .. basically players who job it is to patrol up and down a set of suburbs checking on NT building statuses to confirm all are controlled by Zeds, along with groups dedicated to rushing in to take any sites back survivors might sneak into. Add in the zombies being left behind in key resource sites to make retaking them at least difficult, and you have a very organized plan to control revive ability and eventually prevent most revives. The results speak for themselves, with survivors now numbering around 8600 versus 18000+ zombies. And if it wasn't for the survivors constantly creating new level 1's to use for recon (IE -- cheating in my mind), that 8600 would be a LOT less already.

and the "1000" new players??? the dead havent hidden their plans or their forums, it is a handful of kids creating hundreds of alts. it doesnt hurt "organising" when one person controls so many alts, you are nothing more than an idiot and a hypocrit. 20:25, 24 March 2008 Humphreybot

Hey, thanks for the input Humpy. I hope you don't mind a little constructive criticism, but, have you considered going to school to learn how to spell? I know spelling can be difficult for those with small minds. But if you REALLY apply yourself and think extra hard, maybe you can spell and act like all the adults. You'd like to do that, wouldn't you? And you would get to play with capital letters. Doesn't that excite you?! Now here's a lollipop. You go over there and play while the adults keep talking. And thanks for stopping by.

lol proper spelling is an issue for you then? poor thing, you must still be potty training too. it is a wiki and i am just trying to be simple for the common denominator, you. Humphreybot 3/27/08

[edit] Welcome to our wiki

Hi Wke235! As we can see, you made your first edits to this wiki not long ago. It's OK to be new, and we encourage new blood to join and enrich our community. At the same time, we understand that no one is a perfect wiki editor straight off the bat, and, just in case you get stuck, here're some useful tips to help you out. Please take the time to read them.

General Editing
  • Never delete someone else's edits, comments, responses, etc. off community pages. To do so is considered vandalism.
  • If you write a comment it's useful to sign it so that other editors will know who wrote it. You can write "~~~~" at the end of your comment to sign it, or there's this button Image:button_sig.png on the top of the edit page that will sign for you if you want.
  • You may want to know how your edits will look before they have been saved, to make sure that nothing is wrong. Use the "Preview" button before the "Save" button - it's your friend!
  • If you're slow in your editing and there's an editing conflict, you might not understand the error that you get. The easiest way to overcome the edit conflict is to copy whatever you have been writing, go back with your browser, and then re-enter the edit page so that you can add your edits without deleting those made before yours.
  • The wiki is a collaborative project, please do your best to work well with fellow editors.

Further help for editing the wiki can be found on the Help page.

Project Mentor

Project Mentor has been set up to allow new wiki users to have a more experienced wiki veteran mentor them for the first few weeks. Visit its page for more information!

Your User Page

One of the great things about the wiki is that every user can have his or her own user page! These pages are located in the User: namespace — in other words, they all begin with "User:" (yours is User:Wke235). The appropriate place to write about yourself or your characters is on your user page, or a subpage of that page (e.g., User:Wke235/Your Character's Name). Please don't create pages about yourself outside the User: namespace. Those pages will be moved into subpages of your user page, and the original speedily deleted. If you want something to be deleted, use the speedy deletion page; that's why Criterion 7 was made.

User Talk Pages

Every user has a talk page, found by clicking the "discussion" link at the top of his or her user page, or by going directly to it (yours would be User talk:Wke235). If you have a question for someone, or want to say something to him or her, his or her user talk page is the place.

However, many users on the wiki have established specific guidelines for how their user talk pages are to be treated — where new comments should go, how they should be written, what is or is not okay to talk about, etc. Be sure to look for guidelines on the talk page before you leave a comment.

If you don't see any guidelines specified, the assumption is that you should place your comment at the bottom of the talk page, under a level 2 heading. This can be accomplished by clicking the "+" link next to the "edit" tab at the top of the talk page, or by manually typing in your message in this format:

==Message title==

Your message goes here

When replying to a comment already laid on the page, remember to indent it correctly: do it by inserting as many colons plus one to the message you're replying to at the begining of your message, like this:

==Message title==

The Suggestions Page

We know that as a new user, you want to share your ideas with us. But a community as big as ours has already seen all kind of suggestions, and it's possible that we've already seen something very similar to the ideas you have. Follow these simple guidelines to make sure that your suggestion gets the respect that it deserves:

  • We strongly recommend that you read the Suggestions Dos and Do Nots and the Frequently Suggested Ideas pages so that you will have an idea of what kind of suggestions are likely to be accepted and what kind are ridiculous in the eyes of the community. The pages might look long and time-consuming to read, but you will find them entertaining and helpful.
  • You might also want to look at the Previous Days Suggestions. These contain a record of all previous suggestions. Use the search function in your browser to search for keywords relating to the suggestion you want to make.
  • It may be helpful to wait a few days to get a feel for the wiki and the other users before subjecting your idea to any possible criticism. If you're unsure, the Suggestions Discussion page is good neutral territory to suggest, gather feedback, and refine your idea before officially submitting it.
  • Write your suggestion according to these steps. If it looks too complicated for you, ask for help.
  • You can't modify a suggestion that you've written once it has been posted on the Suggestions page. You can withdraw and resubmit it with changes later, but only do that if people liked your original suggestion while requesting changes, not if it was Spaminated.
  • If you get stuck at ANY point in writing your suggestion, ask for help. There's no shame in being new and after a few times, you'll get the hang of it.

Remember: These guidelines may look difficult to learn and follow, but they're mainly just common sense! Think about what you're going to say or do before you do it! If you don't make an effort to do so, then why would others have the obligation to be nice to you? Feel free to ask any Project Welcome member if you need help, that's our purpose anyways!

If you want to delete this text, just delete the {{Welcomenewbie}} line from your talk page. Remember that you can always have access to these tips on the Project Welcome/Welcomenewbie page.

[edit] Question on deletions

A user can delete comments form their user page and their talk page any where is most likly vandalism as defined here but if this is an issue with Suburb Danger Levels or the like then is usually the result of a differing option. Thats when you take it to the talk page and discuss the issue/ wait for more input - Vantar 04:02, 9 September 2007 (BST)

Er...the questions page isn't the only place where you can place a question. The Main page's talk page works just as well, I believe. --Axe Hack is Against the New Facebook 00:40, 10 September 2007 (BST)
