History

When Mitchem Mall was built in the late 70s a number of smaller businesses were displaced. Many of these family businesses found new homes in Waite Plaza. Up until 2005 they were all independently run shops, and locals came in their hundreds to support the "little guys" operating under the shadow of the big corporate mall.
