Sir Joshua-Percival Doble owned a mansion on this plot of land. A street is named in his honor in Kinch Heights. In 1883, a terrible fire hit the mansion, and it was reduced to a semi-overgrown wasteland. The neighboring Cheesy Poof factory covered the other half of the mansion property.
