A large tiled square occupies most of the lot. A broken fountain lies in the middle. The main entrances to both hospitals open up onto the square. A wrecked bus lies on its side.

Weakley Square got its name from a diary entry by well known dyslexic Doctor, Howard. O. Oakley during the 1918 Flu Pandemic. One of his diary entries during the periodwas entitled ' And the sickely and weakley shall cometh here for warmth and healings, for no value is greateth then life and no reward is greateth and satisfaction... ' A printed copy of his diary is available to browse through in the Hemburrow Library.
