[edit] Background

West Boundwood is a suburb of Malton, located in the north of the city. Prior to the outbreak West Boundwood consisted primarily of upper-middle class families. A blend of old and new money, the affluence of the area assured good service and leisure facilities. Along its northern edge runs the River Kevan.

A strong religious element in the population was reflected in a large number of Churches being built in West Boundwood, and also resulted in an absence of NecroTech Buildings as a result of idealogical conflict between local religious groups and Necrotech.

An impressive number of clubs catered to the rich, famous and extravagant, and even more numerous than the Churches or clubs were the various museums. Between these two elements, West Boundwood as a suburb was an attraction to local socialites and tourists alike.

When the plague began, many of the population fled into East Boundwood and Bale Mall, leaving much of the suburb largely deserted.

The MCDU say they are preparing for a major offensive into the area and will take the suburb back to green in the next few days. Saber-rattling in the direction of Extinction also took place.--11:00, 11 July 2008 (BST)

The rebuilding has started, the Crabapples are rebarricading the estate and organising revives.

External Military report: "... West Boundwood is still active, about forty on the streets ... mostly just stragglers, no organised groups ... only one building with lights on ... the whole suburb's wrecked ..." --WanYao 08:15, 7 July 2008 (BST)

The situation has changed dramatically. The terrorists have left the holdings of the Crabapple Estate, but since the Crabapples were still recovering from their assaults, there was little time to prepare with their fellow survivors against the incoming zombie horde. Consequently, the estate again lies in enemy hands, this time those of the zombies, as does much of West and central West Boundwood--St. Ethelbert Crabapple 14:35, 27 June 2008 (BST)

As a Crabapple, could you request that survivors under your care and in your surrounding area move east? East Boundwood is largely unaffected by zombie raids right now, and a lot of survivors would be happy to patch them up and help retake the Crabapple Holdings. Does your group have a forum? I would be happy to co-ordinate efforts in East Boundwood in exchange for a slight favor. --Vandurn 17:13, 27 June 2008 (BST)
We are grateful for your kind offer, Vandurn, any assistance is gratefully accepted - we are making efforts to control the situation. I am afraid we do not have a forum - our group talk page usually suffices. We do not make any demands upon our subjects in West Boundwood, although worship and respect is always appreciated - as a family, we believe in individual freedom, so we would not dictate the movements of residents--St. Ethelbert Crabapple 14:19, 9 July 2008 (BST)

West Boundwood is still to a great degree safe, but there are a handful of ruined buildings to break that image. Lowther Lane FS, Club Gaze, Fowle Museum, Club Cranfield are ruined, and there are more out there. Yes, there are no hordes at your doorstep, but the zombies in the area are organized and can take down safehouses effectively, especially since survivors have been relying on the heavily overcaded streets for the past few weeks. I'm moving this suburb to Yellowas a result of the break ins (and the people who don't care enough to repair empty ruined buildings). --Vandurn 14:43, 24 June 2008 (BST)

I've stayed in West Boundwood for a few days before I headed east for East Boundwood. Just about all buildings are intact with lights on. All reasource buildings that I saw were fully operational with survivors. Suburb is safe with minimal feral activity. Warning to all who make West Boundwood their home, I've been heading east from Jensentown for the past couple of days and have been lucky to be a day ahead of the zombie horde that is devastating the North West. Quarlesbank is starting to fall and West Boundwood looks like it may be next. You are warned.--NeoSlavic 03:30, 16 June 2008 (BST)
