Zombies almost always check inside. Some are often used as literal fortresses, and are sometimes so heavily barricaded that it is impossible to enter without Free Running. Tagging a police station earns 2 XP. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point. Police Stations can be barricaded normally.

The William Avenue Police Department is located at coordinates [36,16] and is one of six police departments in the suburb of Shuttlebank. It is a small metal-and-glass building surrounded by lawns. Pistols, Pistol clips, flak jackets, flares, shotgun shells and shotguns can be found inside.

According to the Uniform Barricade Plan and similar plans drawn up by the Shuttlebank Militia, the William Avenue Police Department is to be kept at the level of Very Strongly Barricaded only. This is to ensure that survivors without free running may find a safe haven in the police department. Accordingly, it should be considered unsuitable for overnight stay.
