Basic Info:
  • Cinemas are "shrouded in darkness" when unpowered.
  • Cinemas are Dark buildings.
  • In the presence of a fuelled portable generator, a Cinema's flavor text will change to one of the following:
    • "…a black-and-white drama film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a recent horror film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…an old horror film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a black-and-white documentary film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a recent drama film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a dramatic science-fiction film still looping silently on its main screen."
    • "…a black-and-white science-fiction film playing on its main screen."

There are three cinemas in the suburb of Yagoton, in the city of Malton. These are as follows:

Equipping any of these buildings with a powered generator would cause some of the screens to come to life. Drawing mustaches on the old movie posters that are still propped up as barricades earns no benefits other than the satisfaction of giving some has-been actress a mustache.

Edgerton Cinema is located at coordinates [47,16] in the suburb of Yagoton and is one of the three cinemas in Yagoton. This cinema is one of the few open air cinemas in Malton. Prior to the outbreaks the compound was used by citizens of the suburb for flea markets, bake sales, car boot sales, concerts, etc. These days it is used as a small safe house, usually where the living stay the night then leave, although this is not always the case.

Given that it is impossible to find anything useful amongst the rubble, mainly broken desks and movie screens, this is not considered the best place to stay for an extended mount of time. Edgerton is close to a nearby police department that can be reached via free running.
