Zombie Dialects are a type of zombie-based linguistics. They involve manipulation of the Death Rattle (or Zamgrh language) to create recognizable or translatable message for survivors, or other zombies.

A small amount of these Zombie Dialects were created to bridge the gap of in-game communication between Zombies and Survivors. All the translators for these languages can be found at Zombie Speech Translators.

Zombish

Zombish is the name used for one of the "codes" zombies can speak in that allow them to be legible to survivors if the zombie has the "Death Rattle" skill. This first code is not quite perfect, and Zombese is generally preferred.

Zomban

Zomban is the name used for one of the "codes" zombies can speak in that allow them to be legible to survivors if the zombie has the "Death Rattle" skill. This code was developed after Zombese.

Zombese

Zombese is the name used for one of the "codes" zombies can speak in that allow them to be legible to survivors if the zombie has the "Death Rattle" skill. This code was developed after Zombish and fixes some of the problems that code caused, and is thus used by more of the population.

Capitalization and Zombese-to-English Translation

Zombies using Zombese should be aware that not all text will be spoken exactly as translated, as the death rattle algorithm currently capitalizes the first letter of any phrase spoken. As the zombese algorithm uses only lowercase letters, this results in the first character of any phrase showing up as undefined when using the more popular, case-sensitive translation tools.

This can easily be bypassed, provided the user remembers to change the capitalization on the first character prior to attempting to translate it to English.
