Return Episode: Santlerville

Okay, so after failing in my malltour, I went back to me brothers in Santlerville, for the first time since I left after the crushing defeat Santlerville experienced in the Battle of SantLUEville. The short time I spent there during the battle left 3 memories of Santerville in my mind:

Yes, originality is a trait in Santlerville.
  • A skyline of destroyed buildings
  • Scores of zombie hordes
  • A horizon of mountains, all made of rotting carcasses.

Needless to say, when I returned, I was pleasantly surprised by the safe, friendly suburb that awaited me. The stench of rotting corpses had been replaced with dandelion scents, the ruined buildings had been fixed up and beautifully barricaded, and the blood-coated walls of SantLUEville had been replaced with well written spraypainted propaganda.

More unique characters, all whom live in and love the joys of Santlerville.

Santlerville, being free of Zombies and having many happy campers in the local Mall, was home to an array of interesting people, where everyone got along and the only threats in sight were the odd Pkers. The local zerg PK masterminds in Santlerville enjoy a life of executing random survivors and spraying propaganda around the blocks. However, because most of the people in Santlerville and its surrounding suburbs (Heytown in particular) are illiterate, no one really ever reads them.

The more educated of Santlerville's inhabitants like to hold entertaining events for the whole of Santlerville to watch or participate in. Many of these include Fight Nights, Execution Nights and Entertainment Nights.

But, Santlerville is not the paradise I have portrayed it as above. Beneath the well maintained area and clean streets, there lies assholes and weirdo's not common from every other suburb in Santlerville. Dowdney is the PKer's dream, with many idlers and a seemingly neverending amount of trenchcoaters, and, well... that's about all. Okay, I tried really hard to find retarded people from around Santlerville, but the place, compared to the other suburbs I have travelled, is just too bloody clean. The people are so organized and co-operative that arseholes don't get much airtime. Well, maybe I just got disappointed with it's 'goodness'. I wanted another shithole like Fort Perryn.

Okay, so there you have it, kids. Santlerville, the lovable suburb where the people are always cheerful and joking. Feel free to come into the mall and kill a trenchcoater or zerger until your hearts content.

Radio station to listen to:

#26.06 MHz:

Ok look, there is so much propaganda and announcements to kill people on this station it makes your eyes water and your nutsack shrivel. Also, there are random people that use 26.06 to quack to each other. This annoys the hell out of every Santlerville resident because no one can find him and kill him.

Place to visit:

Stand outside the Anthony Building and count to ten. If Finis Valorum doesn't fall ontop of you and crush you, I'll give you $10.

Mentally retarded PKers are everywhere, most acting on the commands they receive from the voices in their head. I never knew whether to laugh or cry.

Lockettside/Ruddlebank

Ok, so before I start any further, let me announce one thing about the joint area in between the west of Lockettside and the east of Ruddlebank. The area around Tompson Mall is the worst PK zone I have ever been to. After the fall of Marvin Mall, I shamefully moved down to the nearest safe mall to take a rest from defending sieges. I came to Tompson Mall, a lovely place that seemed beautiful and calm, with many happy survivors.

But don't let this tempting paradise of a mall fool you, travellers. Tompson Mall is the most densely populated PK area I have ever come across. Within 2 hours of arriving at Tompson Mall, 2 people had already tried to kill me. And they were only two level 9 punks. Youth these days are nothing but trouble.

What's going on! Good people are getting killed, even at the revive points!

People die hourly in Lockettside's Tompson Mall, and the NT building next to it, Cheeke Building, in Ruddlebank, is no different. Because the Mall, NT building and Revive Point are all in a neat 3x2 block area, ammo, syringes and revives are never far away. But when there PKing is so popular, the buildup of zombies at the revive point outnumbers the amount of survivors to revive them, especially when the good guys get killed every time they wake up.

Survivors even get killed reviving zombies, and all this goes on while the mall is being sieged. You think they could do a bit more with their time, like surviving or something, I dunno.

So help organize the survivors, I went to the Lockettside Wiki to report on the status of Marvin Mall. But to my horror, the Wiki Admin had restricted the editing of the actual suburb page, due to the spamming and vandalizing that the page had received by many of the PKing locals.

This was the final straw. After being killed 3 times standing at the revive point, I left for pastures new, and hopefully greener grass.

#26.06 MHz:

I'm going to admit that no station is really used in Lockettside or Ruddlebank except to announce PKers. And no one does that because they know that in doing so, they will get PKed.

Place to visit:

Anywhere, as long as it isn't Tompson Mall, the Cheeke Building or the Wasteland revive point between both of them.
