Information

Bastion High is a pro-survivor group that's currently stationed in Calvert Mall as a security force for the area. Formerly a nomadic group, Bastion High has made a semi-permanent stop in Calvert's area pretty much just because we felt like it. We focus on coordination by giving every member their own personal, yet simple, instructions; as we believe poor coordination is a major factor in many past survivor failures. We also focus on cooperation by attempting to get other groups involved with us and each other. The hordes are, after all, almost all united in a single goal. Survivor cooperation is not nearly as solid, and it should be.

Policies

Combat Revives. While it saves more AP than shooting a zombie to death, these are generally frowned upon by other groups for a very good reason. To keep criticism of us by survivors to a low (and thus keep group relations high) without completely outlawing this practice, we have very specific guidelines to follow regarding combat revives:

When a member of Bastion High wishes to combat revive a zombie, they must first DNA scan the zombie and check its profile.

If the zombie is clearly a former survivor and is not known as a PKer, GKer, or RKer, then it should be revived.

If it is clearly a career zombie and has Free Running, any survivor combat skills, or over 90 XP, then that zombie would be a threat if alive and is not to be revived. If the zombie has none of the above, it may be combat revived if the member wishes to do so.

Any scanned zombie who does not belong to a survivor group, and who has several skills from both the zombie and survivor lists, should not be revived in the middle of combat without a good reason. This will prevent revived zombies from PKing, GKing, RKing, spying, or quickly gaining the ability to do any of these things.

Player Killing. All members of Bastion High are permitted to kill anti-survivor humans, including PKers, GKers, and RKers. This action may only be taken if the member has proof of these actions on the part of the suspect. As those who kill PKers are often thought to be PKers by innocent bystanders, any member of Bastion High making such a kill must present their proof to the members of the room. Members are not required to kill any anti-survivor humans on sight due to the reality that it may not be the best course of action if there are more pressing concerns, or if the suspect is deemed for substantial reason to be engaged in beneficial or non-threatening activities. Bastion High's role is security first and foremost, and will only ever kill a fellow human being if it is deemed the most prudent action.

Career Zombies. This really, really should go without saying, but if you're a career zombie who ever plans on breaking into buildings or killing people, you're really not welcome in the group. Apparently this does not go without saying, as we've had zombies attempt to join us, so there you go. It's not our problem if you accidentally bought Brain Rot and you like killing people now. Go away and stop looking at our brains like that.

ZKers. In addition, Bastion High does not accept habitual ZKers into its ranks. This is not because we are ethically against such activity; in fact, we have no problem if you take a swipe at the zombie who ate you once in a while just to let off steam. However, we consider it a waste of time to do so. Any pro-survivor activity you could accomplish as a zombie, you can accomplish more efficiently once alive.

Joining and Actually Doing Stuff. If you're going to join Bastion High, please don't join and forget the next day. We might take a couple days to get back to you, so please be patient, and please don't join on a whim. If you join Bastion High and fail to participate, contact us, or do anything of value, you will be removed from our member list. It is so depressing that I actually had to make this a rule, you have no idea.

Allies

Bastion High feels itself allied with all pro-survivor groups, but as far as official allies go, our allies include the following:

CMS. We would like to specify that we are allied specifically with organized members of the message board, and not any random Joe with CMS as his group. We will list CMS-Meta here as soon as the group becomes active again.

S.T.A.R.S.. We've been allied with S.T.A.R.S probably longer than we've been allied with anyone. Their leader is a good strategist and a trusted partner.

Crossman Defense Force. Though it's been some time since we last coordinated, our alliance is still firmly intact.

The Fortress. Allies who we hope will one day be very close partners of ours. We had the partner banner up but it just didn't mesh with the other ones.

Phoenix Security Services. It takes a real commitment to survivor goals to put their anger at Wesker behind them and do what they do.

DHPD. They've always been supportive of us and our missions, and in addition to being a huge group, they're very friendly.

END. We began working with each other on the 5th of November, and there are no signs of our alliance faltering.

South Malton Watch. These guys are a friendly bunch as well, and as South Malton is usually green, I think their work speaks for itself. Used to be West Grayside Watch.

The Crimson Clan. Another group who was receptive of an alliance with us starting with the 5th of November.

The Dribbling Beavers. I believe we consider one-other allies, despite some understandable apprehension on their part due to our being a new group.

Malton Suburb Liberation Force. A good group, fighting to protect us all from giant cleats with spurs. Oh sure, you're laughing now...

New Malton Colossus. Yeah, the whole thing. This one guy had a pitchfork. It was awesome.

10 Minutes From Hell. How could we not ally a group with the guts to hang out ten minutes from hell?

CDF. Someone's got to keep Creedy safe, after all. These guys do a fine job of it.

One day, we hope there will be no need for alliance lists. One day, we hope all survivor groups can be allied.

News & Updates

August 14 2009

Totally off hiatus again. I know, I know. It happens, okay? Seriously this time, though. For serious. In other news, Max Weinberg keeps looking at me funny every time I say I dream of having more men under me. I don't see the problem. Who wouldn't like more men? The more the merrier, I say. --Xshu 11:01, 14 August 2009 (BST)

-Setting new standards for awkward conversation isn't all we do here though. We also shoot zombies who get into places we don't want them, heal folks in places we do want them, and put large objects in the doorways to places. Currently, those places are Calvert Mall and its surroundings.--Panthera 02:19, 15 August 2009 (BST)

September 17 2008

Bastion High has had some policy changes, and has decided to move into Woodroffe Mall semi-permanently. It's a big change, we know, but we feel it's for the best at this moment in our career.--Xshu 21:34, 18 September 2008 (BST)

September 3 2008

Let it be known that Bastion High is still active, but due to our preference for other means of communication, we've simply really neglected to update our wiki as often as we should. We're in the Tollyton area right now, trying to help make some headway in a perpetually very dangerous part of town.--Panthera 07:47, 3 September 2008 (BST)

March 07 2008

We have joined The Unified Human Resistance! After all, this sort of thing is what Bastion High is all about! --Xshu 07:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

March 1 2008

The lengthy siege of Ackland has ended in defeat, as an overwhelming zombie force broke in and ruined the mall. Kudos to all who were a part of the battle, both zombie and survivor-it was fun. Now, Bastion High heads south to regroup and re-supply for future activities.--Panthera 05:30, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

February 26 2008

Bastion High is still holding on in Ackland Mall, doing our part in holding off a massive zombie siege spearheaded by the MOB. The end result is still not known, all we know is it's been epic.--Panthera 23:43, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

February 23 2008

Bastion High is holding strong in Ackland Mall for the time being. With the barricade nerf, I think it's safe to say we're all doomed. Huzzah! --Xshu 06:22, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

-My colleague, in his haste to explain our current status, has unfortunately forgotten to mention, well, everything else. For various reasons, we've been out of action for quite a while. The old form of the group is essentially defunct; unless our former members make returns, we're more or less rebooting this thing. We're rededicating to our general cause of doing whatever we can to help out in whatever area we're in, and we look forward to working alongside the various survivors, lone and in groups, we'll meet in the future, as well as being open to new members. As for being doomed, Xshu and I have this thing where we can't help throwing out apocalyptic language at every turn. I figure it makes any success look even more stunning in comparison.--Panthera 06:32, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

--Oh, right, I guess I should have gone into a bit more detail, huh? Yeah, we're not actually doomed, but isn't it just cooler if I say we're doomed and then we win? I suppose it'll lose its impact after a while, but that's never stopped me from...whatever I was talking about. Anyways, our actual odds of success are uncertain at the moment. We'll see how things go tomorrow. --Xshu 06:46, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

November 17 2007

It's been a dozen days since the start of Operation Everyone Else Was Doing It (aka: 5th of November), and things are more or less as they were when we got here. Considering I've been alive for the entire operation, I'd say that's pretty damn good. In other news, we've been invited to join the New Malton Colossus, which is just glorious. Have I accepted? Err... I'm still on the fence. --Xshu 01:26, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

October 31 2007

Having recruited a few new members, Bastion High has decided to march into Ridleybank and retake it from the zombies. Some might call it a suicidal effort, and they're probably right. However, it's not about winning. This will be an impressive display of survivor unity, and as such it is only fitting that we join our brothers and sisters in battle. I also thought humans should have a battle cry, but I can't think of one. ...Hahrab? Nah. Well, I'll work on it. --Xshu 07:15, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

August 26 2007

Wiki page and group board created. Now accepting new members. --Xshu 08:45, 26 August 2007 (BST)
