Description
The Beacham cineplex was built to attract shoppers from Nichols Mall.
An imposing red-brick cineplex, its doorway flanked by statues, and containing dozens of screens and Malton's only IMAX.
History
If you can't Beacham, join 'em.
Named after illustrious British actress Stephanie Beacham [1] of Tenko, Dynasty, and Bad Girls fame, this cinema multiplex was constructed in the late 1990s to capitalize on the re-emergence of Nichols Mall after its 20-year hiatus. Crowds duly flocked to the cineplex after its grand opening, with Beacham herself as guest of honor, and the cinema played to packed houses for the ten years until the outbreak.
The cinema remains popular among Villagers for its comforting state of darkness, in which zombies, murderers and survivors can once again settle down together and enjoy an evening's entertainment, generally involving clawing and shooting at each other in the gloom.
