found in malls, police stations and Fort Barracks. would be in the coat slot, and would come in black, white, and grey colors. why? mostly for humor.--'BPTmz 23:47, 4 June 2007 (BST) EDIT: have the trench coats come in all/most/alot/whatever colors--'BPTmz 02:04, 5 June 2007 (BST)

Bath robe

The skanky blanket got me thinking about this one. If people would wrap up in blankets to warm themselves up, then why not a nice fuzzy bathrobe? I know we have robes already, but they're not specifically "Bath robes". They'd come in a brighter range of colours, like say red, pink, blue, white, and green. They'd belong in the coat slot and be found in hotels, malls, and maybe mansions. Dunno about that last one. -- Gunstar 07:06, 16 June 2007 (BST)

Change to Waistcoat

Same scope as the overalls change. Change Waistcoat from Jacket slot to Coat slot. Currently as the Waistcoat and Black Jacket take up the same slot, you cannot have a full Tuxedo, and what, my friends, is the point of a Waistcoat without a Jacket? It's supposed to be formal wear! --Ulysses Black 04:08, 20 June 2007 (BST)

No(Change to Waistcoat)

  1. Then the waistcoat would be worn over the jacket. a considerable Faux-pax. It's the jacket that should be moved.-- Vista  +1  16:17, 20 June 2007 (BST)
RE: *sigh* I understand that, I'm not suggesting re-classify it as a coat, just to use the slot for simplicity. More people would wear a waistcoat with a jacket than with a coat. The only other free slots for a Tuxedo/Formal Suit are the Head and Face slots which it fits in with neither. At least Waistcoat has the word 'Coat' in it! If you move the Black Jacket to Coat, what's the point of the slot it was in being called 'Jacket?' And you'd then be able to wear 2 Jackets on top of each other!!! Unless there was a pointless and pedantic slot called 'Chest' which I'm certainly not advocating, this is the best solution. --Ulysses Black 16:44, 20 June 2007 (BST)
  2. I find it irritating as well, however placing it in the 'coat' slot would potentially confuse many users. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 00:19, 21 June 2007 (BST)
  3. Uh... A waistcoat is a vest, isn't it? That'd just be silly and would only accomplish the idea of making a tuxedo. Just to make a proper tuxedo you'd need 3 layers. Shirt, waistcoat, jacket. Since waistcoat and jacket are in the same slot, just use a coat. Wouldn't that make more sense than reclassifying it? What if I wanna wear a waistcoat under a coat later? -- Gunstar 20:20, 23 June 2007 (BST)
The point is you can only wear it under a jacket OR a coat. I think more people would want the former than the latter. --Ulysses Black 00:38, 24 June 2007 (BST)
  4. I agree with Dux Ducis -- as frustrating as the current system is, what you're proposing doesn't make it better. -- Diano 00:53, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
  5. Waistcoats go under jackets. Moving waistcoats to the coat section would imply one wears it over the jacket, which would confuse things as stated above. Diano is right about this not working as a solution. Besides, any man with class wears a cummerbund with his tux. -- William Told 20:00, 9 May 2008 (EST)

Boiler Suits

Because I want one for my murderous alt to cover up the bloodstains, and overalls just don't cut it. I'd say use the Coat slot as it is the only full body slot and you're supposed to wear a Boiler Suit over existing clothing in real life anyway. Even though they cover your existing clothes yet would still show their description, Robes and some other coats already do this in-game, so there's no new conflict.

Colours would be available in Black, Grey, Dark Red, Dark Green, Dark Blue and Dark Brown. They would be found in Auto Repair Shops and Junkyards with a White Forensic Suit variant and an Orange Prisoner Jumpsuit variant available in Police Departments, and a Yellow Biohazard Suit variant available in Hospitals and Necrotechs.

A hasty evacuation means some Biohazard Suits would be left by the authorities in the chaos as posts were abandoned, and for altruistic reasons too. I purposely left the Biohazard Suit Headpiece out, so the suit has no in-game function, as it's no longer environment sealed. The Prisoner Jumpsuit would be ubiquitous too, as even though Malton has no prison, I'm imagining looters and such would have been rounded up during the initial emergency, and as martial law would be declared, prisoners would have been locked up in Forts and PDs in Orange Jumpsuits (Guantanamo Bay anyone?) as a temporary measure. --Ulysses Black 04:17, 22 June 2007 (BST)

Comment: Here are SillyLillyPilly's very popular original suggestions are here and here. As they had no details or implementation, please don't vote this as a dupe, it's really a revision and has new items too. Thanks!

Yes(Boiler Suits)

  1. Author's Vote: I think it works and add RP elements with the special suits. As with the Hats vote, I know Prisoner Jumpsuits and Biohazard Suits have been suggested, I'm just making a revised catch all category and am not trying to steal credit or dupe. --Ulysses Black 04:17, 22 June 2007 (BST)
  2. I'm gonna flip my opinion and give a 'yea' vote to this one. I think that biohazard suits should be included, however with some sort of prefix or update note that lets you know that they are already torn and aren't functional, such as the gas-masks and nightvision goggles. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 05:27, 22 June 2007 (BST)

Oz is quite warm, no? No need for hoods... In colder climates you have th formal/business overcoats which have no hoods, which is what I think you're talking about... and then you have coats designed to keep out the elements and they almost invariably have hoods of some sort. Uhm, why are we bickering about this??? --WanYao 11:37, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I'll just say this - Oz can be very fucking cold. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 22:25, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
  2. Why? --Karekmaps?! 23:12, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
  3. A coat with a hood is a coat. Hooded sweaters being implemented is due more to their popularity as a fashion item than anything else, but coats with hoods are a practicality -- Diano 00:55, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Frock

Click on the title for an example. A Frock is a man's coat characterized by knee-length skirts all around the base, unlike the tail coat and the morning coat. The frock coat is fitted, long-sleeved, of knee-length, with a collar and lapels (revers), a center vent, and a waist seam for optimal waist suppression. It is normally used for formal occasions and is the typical coat used by butchers. Colors come in black, charcoal gray, and white. It would use the coat slot, which should allow people to also wear an apron if they are so inclined. It would be found in Malls, Warehouses (slaugherhouse?), Hotel, and Mansions. --Akule School's in session. 20:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

What I mean is show what hole it fills other than I want more really really specific clothing in the game that most people won't even know what they mean. This can be covered by something else so I don't see a point to having this.--Karekmaps?! 13:16, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Pea Coat

The Pea Coat, though military in it's conception, has become a part of many day to day wardrobes. It would appeal in game as a slightly anachronistic item, perfect for a lovecraft-inspired character. And besides, they just look cool. It certainly fits in a zombie apocalypse, I'd say. They would come in Navy blue and black. They could be found in malls. --Clockworkcrow 06:20, 3 April 2008 (BST)

  2. It's actually not military clothing at all, it's totally commonplace, whatever its origins might be. But, as far as I am concerned -- though some might disagree -- it's a kind of trenchcoat or overcoat. It's just that trenchcoat has such a negative connotation in this game... that people want options. --WanYao 14:19, 5 April 2008 (BST)

Climbing (Rappelling) Harness

A basic web climbing harness. Perfect for those who think free running is more than just madly throwing themselves from building to building. Would go in either the jacket or coat slot, though I'd lean towards the coat slot. Would be found in malls (sporting goods stores) in a plethora of colors, in fort storehouses (helicopter deployment) in green, tan, black and dark green, and possibly police stations (SWAT teams) in black. --Darth Sensitive Talk W! 06:48, 11 July 2009 (BST)

Body Bag

A torn body bag draped over their shoulders, uses a coat slot, the color is black, and they are typically found in hospitals, Fort Infirmaries, Necrotech Buildings, and on new zombies (just like the toe tag). The idea is that some zombies were bagged after death, but on reanimation they were unable to get the bag completely off of them, so it remains stuck on them like a coat. It'd be used to complement the Toe Tag that zombies already get. --Akule Maker of fine, hand-crafted UDWiki sass since 2006 -- Akule School's back in session™ 00:45, 19 August 2009 (BST)

Trench Coats

People insult others on the wiki and in-game all of the time for wearing trench coats and having that holier-than-thou, but i say screw them! I say we have one particular mall where there's a trench coat store. Trench coats would go in the "coat" slot (i'm pretty sure there already is one, correct me if I'm wrong) and comes in brown, black, navy and white.
