There are three groups in the city of Malton that go by variations on the name DARIS. These are:
- Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs: an historical PKer group which claimed Shearbank was an independent, sovereign state. It formed in September 2005.
- D.A.R.I.S.: a new group of PKers claiming to be a continuation of the original DARIS. It formed (or re-formed) in August 2007.
- Real Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs - formed in December 2009.
