There are four groups in the city of Malton that go by variations on the name DARIS. These are:
- Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs: an historical PKer group which claimed Shearbank was an independent, sovereign state. It formed in September 2005.
- D.A.R.I.S.: a new group of PKers claiming to be a continuation of the original DARIS. It formed (or re-formed) in August 2007.
- Real Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs - formed in December 2009.
- The Exclave/ERIS: A group which refers to itself as DARIS and The Exclave Interchangeably from June to August 2nd 2010, at which point it reorganized itself into ERIS (though still also calling itself The Exclave) and in this form claims to be the continuation of the original DARIS. It formed (or re-formed) in June 2010.
