The Deakin Alley Gang began as a loose confederation dedicated to the protection of Nixbank. They began as a group of survivors trapped in the Deakin Alley Police Dept. They are a peaceful group slowly growing in numbers.

DAG Goals and Methods

Primary Goals: Survive!; to clear Nixbank of any and all zombie threats; to provide medical care, revives, and protection to anyone who needs it; to keep a list of barricade levels in Nixbank to help everyone find safe harbor.

Secondary Goals: To maintain St Daniel's Hospital, Lindsey Lane Fire Dept, all police departments, and all Necrotech buildings at very strong barricade to allow easy access; to provide protection for same buildings to dissuade attack; keep a list of active Player Killers and Generator Killers.

Methods: "Kill zombies with bullets; win members with kindness."

1. We must remember that zombies, not humans are our enemies, specifically those who no longer wish to be revived--they must be destroyed.

2. Provide medical care to all who need it.

3. Scout out buildings and update the barricade levels in Nixbank.

4. Provide generator for St Daniel's.

5. Provide generator for Club Staley.

6. Provide generators for all NecroTech buildings in Nixbank.

7. Maintain a radio transmitter; Nixbank Area-Specific frequency 26.13 MHz; Nixbank Guerilla Network frequency 26.41 MHz for Nixbank broadcasts and updates.

Know what you are talking about.
Malton Citizens Broadcast

8. Our goal is to save as many lives as we can. To do this, we must be trusted. Do not PK.

Specific Tactics

Deakin PD and St. Daniel's Hospital are the beating hearts of DAG and Upper Nixbank. Their doors are kept at maximum barricade levels at all times. Nearby buildings are kept as newbie entrance portals.

The Penning and Delay buildings are the nearest NT facilities. While Penning is operated by the Josephine folks, Delay is all ours. It should be kept safe.

In the case of a breach, regroup in the Josephine complex and come back. They can't have our home.

Organization

The Deakin Alley Gang has no leadership of any kind, but is instead a group of like-minded individuals devoted to supporting the goals and ideals of the group. Although joint action may be taken in times of great stress, no member is bound by the orders of another. Many citizens of Nixbank have informal ties to DAG, this is encouraged. Through diversity, perserverence, and supporting the core goals of DAG, the zombie menace in Nixbank shall be overcome.

Barricade Levels in Nixbank

Okay everyone, these Barricade Levels are terribly outdated, so I've taken the liberty of removing all of the old information. We can either repopulate the list with current information or let this section of the site whither away and die. This might be a decent discussion question for our current membership. Thoughts? Graman 20:23, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Bold very strongly, quite strongly, lightly, and loosely barricaded buildings so they stand out. (Don't forget to unbold buildings when they move out of those categories.)

Sign Each Update by placing 4 tildes (~) after each building you update. This allows people to know how up to date the information is.

Warning: We try to maintain the list regularly, but there is no guarantee that the info will always be right.

Nixbank News

20 April 2008

Nixbank is in ruins. Deakin, St. Daniel's...even nearby Josephine and Adelbert are in Zed hands. This is why we barricade Deakin so much, damnit. Nermid 21:16, 20 April 2008 (BST)

31 March 2008

Better! Deakin and St. Danny's are secure, as is the nearby Auto Shop. I'm very pleased. As a matter of fact, if I can fashion one out of debris, I'll be wearing a happy hat! Nermid 04:37, 1 April 2008 (BST)

29 March 2008

I've been out for almost a year. Just got back, and DAG is dead. Deakin PD is destroyed, as is our Hospital. This is unacceptable. I just got my hands on a toolbox. I'm going back to Deakin PD, and I'm going to make it work, even if I have to run the place by myself. This is my turf, not some brain-belching zombie's. Nermid 04:02, 30 March 2008 (BST)

15 June 2007

Deakin grows fat with inaction, while Josephine and Adalbert are destroyed. For shame, DAG, for shame. :P

11 April 2007

just joined and in the process of trying to clear zeds out of NT buildings so I can revive in peace. Then onto clearing out the zeds that infest this area.

08 March 2007

Sigh. I'm dead again. So now I'm a standing zombie inside Deakin Alley. I was able to kill 2 other zeds and injure a third before I ran out of AP. So there's plenty of trash lying around on the floor that I would love for people to come clean up. Also, if anyone wants to stick me in the back of the neck, I would be much obliged. -- Graman 14:56, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

26 January 2007

Okay, so this guy I know decided it would be fun to come to Nixbank and PK me. I'm a standing zombie in Deakin Alley right now, so someone please revive me.

Also, I'm posting his profile on our PKer list, so if anyone sees Larry Johnson 27, KILL HIM ON SIGHT! NO MERCY!!! -- Graman 14:48, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

25 January 2007

Okay DAG, listen up. Survivors in Wykewood to the east, particularly members of Josephine's Generals, are under seige by a pretty large zombie horde. They have helped us out so much by maintaining the revive points at Monro Row and the cemetary, we need to help them out. Plus, this horde isn't that far away, and it's likely they will move west and occupy SE Nixbank. We can't let this happen.

Anyone who can, head over to Josephine General Hospital and Adelbert Hospital. They are located 4 South and 4,5 East of Deakin Alley. -- Graman 14:35, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

1 December 2006

I will also miss you, Shamus. It was an honor serving along side you, killing zeds, barricading safe zones, healing friends, and revivifying the fallen. Long live Shamus! -- Zebhu Varkon

29 November 2006

Hey there guys.

Well, it's been a while since I started playing, but all good things come to an end: Sorry to say I'm gonna not be coming back much, if at all, after today onto Urban Dead.

Why? Well, too much time on computer makes Shamus dull boy. Unfortunately, I think games like this might distract me a bit too much other things I really should be doing; then again, I'm easily distracted, but in any case I need to cut down.

So, I suppose it's goodbye then. It's been a pleasure and honour blasting zombies with you, and I hope The Deakin Alley Gang continues to prosper and swell in numbers: Look after her nicely guys!

  • Shamus gives a quick, unceremonial salute and smile to all the members of DAG, then dashes out of the PD, shooting, blasting and slicing through zombies all the way as he rushes into the distance...*

Shamus Oakshod 23:24, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

So long Shamus. It's truly been a pleasure. Graman 03:32, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

23 November 2006

WTF Shamus? Why'd you attack me over and over and OVER again? Care to explain?

On another note, I'm outside St. D's picking off other zeds. If anyone has a spare syringe, I'd really like to be human again. Graman 06:15, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

I did what?! I must've accidently targeted you, sorry! I didn't mean to. Bash me the next time you see me.
Oh, in the Monro Row street is one of our old members, Arc Orion, and is apparently awaiting a revive. Haven't seen him in a while. I thought he'd gone AWOL sometime back at the begining of the year.

Shamus Oakshod 22:49, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

20 November 2006

I just saw Combatevolved inside Deakin Alley -- he was recently revived. I am almost certain this guy has been a zombie and has killed numerous survivors of DAG and allied groups over the past few weeks. But maybe my memory is not correct. If he's a zed spy, we need to kill him, kick him out, and not revive him. But I dont want to take action against him unless I can get confirmation of my suspicions. He's inside Deakin Alley as of 2:30 PM EST today. -- Zebhu Varkon

I see no reason to harm Combatevolved. They were in the factory north of the PD that me and a few members of my group, some members of this group, and othersurvivors were staying in. If they were a zed spy then we would all be dead. Also they have no group so they probably acted like the average player and attacked survivors because they turned into a zed. I have seen many cases of this in Paynterton after the Big Bash hit. I saw survivors I had fought with attacking others when they became zeds. I also saw high ranking members of other groups doing it. So there probably isn't anything to worry about. -- TheDemonDragon

19 November 2006

Here's a list of the zombies I saw inside Deakin Alley attacking survivors or destroying generators as I was being mauled apart over the past few days. I was out hunting in real life for deer, and was unable to log on to UD. I did get a seven-point buck so the trip was a good one. It appears our main attackers are from the De-Vivification Experts of Malton.

If you see any of these folks as a survivor inside a structure in Nixbank, I recommend you kill them on sight. Also, do not revive any of them. I was revived earlier today, and there's just one zed left inside the NT building. I couldn't kill the last one, and I moved back into Deakin Alley, and recaded it from Heavily to EHB. I'm the only survivor sleeping overnight. We need more survivors inside to restore the "meat shield." -- Zebhu Varkon 19 November 2006 8:40 pm EST

18 November 2006

Nobody left in the PD when I was in there, but jolee revived me (cheers) and I revived graman as well. As soon as I can pick up a few more syringes I'll start bringing the rest of Gang up. Where'd those Zed's come from? There seems to be twice as many than before. And yes, rembember the "Graaghs!" everyone! -- Shamus Oakshod 01:58, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

It doesn't matter where they came from all that is important is that we expel them. I now have 3 members of my group with me and one has a few syringes and the other two and me included have a couple of Fire Axe's. We will be doing to zed cleaning here soon. Hopefully we can get rid of the zeds in the PD and re-barricade. Tomorrow I will begin the assult. TheDemonDragon 10:30, 18 November 2006 (EST)

17 November 2006

Deakin Alley has been overrun again. So i'm clawing and biting and the nine other bad zombies in there again. Some with barricading needs to get the levels up quick. And don't kill/dump me or Shamus or any other committed survivor turned zombie. Remember our safety word discussed below. Graman 14:25, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

I am also a zombie inside the PD, nibbling away at the others. I can see you Graman as you are in my contacts list, please make sure I am in yours. Private Pucker

16 November 2006

Looking to the West from Mellish Towers

St Daniel's Hospital had been breached, I took it back up to VS+2 and tried to find a generator and fuel for it with no luck. There are 8 zombies outside the hospital at the moment (see image to the right) so it would be good if everyone can keep an eye on the hospital's 'cades. Private Pucker 10:15am AUS EDT

15 November 2006

St Daniel's Hospital is now powered up, so If anyone needs a heal you should get in there and grab a few faks. It is at EHB at the moment. Private Pucker 9:15am AUS EDT

13 November 2006

I have an idea we should consider implementing. We should begin compiling lists and profiles of the zombies outside the Deakin Alley region of Nixbank, especially those who kill survivors or attack them, so we can compare notes on how many foes we're really up against. This way, if they get revived and we find them indoors, we can expel them back into the streets where they belong. Any zed which attacks a generator, or attacks a survivor, should go on our list. Don't just count zeds, because a pro-survivor in temporary zed form, like Shamus, might get counted by accident. -- Zebhu Varkon 12:28 PM EST

I don't think you should expel all of em. If they have mostly zed skills then yes. But if they have mostly human skills then no. You can't jump to conclusions. TheDemonDragon Leader of the Demonic Aura Clan

I'm good on the counting and listing, and I also agree with TDD here: Remember, DAG policizes gaining trust with humans, and killing random survivors (from an outsiders' point of view) won't be exactly endearing. Quite a few independant people are probably pro-zombie when a zombie and change to pro-survivor when revived. We should use our discretion rather than standing hard and fast to a rule. But in any case, knowing how many Zs are around is useful, and it's good to know if someone might be a potential GKer/PKer. --Shamus Oakshod 23:40, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Shamus I revived you yesterday. What did you stay in the hospital and get killed? TheDemonDragon 8:57 PM EST

Something like that. I can't exactly remember... spending too long... as zombie... Actually I'm alive again now. I have a spare few syringes so if I can repay you by reviving one of your members, I'd be happy to call it even. Shamus Oakshod 08:01, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

12 November 2006

For the time being I'm going to be bashing the zombies out side the PD and the Hospital. As a dead guy, so watch out for me. Four Z's outside each of these buildings at the last count. Shamus Oakshod 09:31, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

11 November 2006

I just installed a new genny and fuel into Deakin Alley. Cades are at EHB at the moment. We need to move most of us back into Deakin Alley, so we can keep the place from getting ransacked. Stock up on weapons and ammo while the cades are intact and the generator is still running. -- Zebhu Varkon 9:11 PM, EST

10 November 2006

I'm dead, but I've cleared the Penning Building (NT = revives!) and closed the doors, though I can't dump bodies. No survivors present, so no 'cades or revives, but it's ready for them. Deakin PD's only got myself and a zed with 25 hp left. It's not ransacked atm. If there are some survivors around, go ahead and kill us, dumb us, and 'cade 'cade 'cade. Didn't have enough AP to finish him off or start for St. Danny's. Walking zed count seems pretty low. Looks like we've got a chance, if we move fast. I'd recommend we have a couple of people on 'cading duty at Penning, and a couple running a revive factory, but that's just me. Nermid 19:57, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

09 November 2006

FYI, St. Daniel's is not secure. I barricaded last night and thought I'd be okay to sleep there, but was mistaken. So now I'm a zombie again, and there are four others inside. Generator destroyed, building ransacked, you know the deal. I'll get to work on clawing and biting, but anyone else that can, you're more than welcome to come help. Graman 14:08, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

08 November 2006

Right, I'm alive again. I'm holding up in St. Daniel's with Private Pucker, though at this time we seem to be alone in barricadeing the hospital. I have a few syringes to spare, so if anyone wants to head over here then I can do some reviving. Or, I can come to whoever needs it. Shamus Oakshod 04:52, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Update--- Some zeds broke in and killed Pucker. I was next, but I got lucky and it looks like they ran out of AP. Though the barricades are down there aren't any of the buggers in the hospital. Shamus Oakshod 10:38, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

06 November 2006

Would love to put up the 'cades, especially since somebody is spending a night in the PD, but it looks like a lot of us are dead. I hope I'll be revived soon, but if not then I'll spend most of my AP biting zombies.

Hey, if the system catches on and works we'll probably have to add this group-page to the ZKers groups. Shamus Oakshod 04:33, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

05 November 2006

I like the idea Shamus. And I'm good with "Graagh" being our catch word. FYI to the rest of you that are survivors, St. Daniel's is now completely clear of enemy zombies, but there are 3 dead bodies that need to be kicked outside and you need to start working on the barricades. I'm still inside, but I think I'm going to go lend my zombie claws to exterminating the zeds inside Deakin Alley. Right now, there's only one in there, but the doors are wide open, so someone with construction needs to do something about that. Graman 20:13, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

04 November 2006

Well, St. Daniel's has finally fallen. Both Private Pucker and I were waxed about 3.5 hours ago, so now I guess we're back to square one in reestablishing our little corner of Malton. What I was thinking, though, was why not let those of us that are still zombies working on killing off the zombies in the buildings and clearing them out, then those of us that are already survivors can work on the barricades. If you see a member of DAG or any other friendly ex-survivor in a building, don't kill them. let them clear out the building. And if you see their dead corpse on the ground, don't dump the body. Let them arise in the building to keep on keeping on. What do the rest of you think? Graman 17:59, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm all for that: It saves a few AP for living survivors and gives us a chance to possibly get revived earlier. It won't stop non-group humans from attacking us and subsequant dumping, but that's just to be expected. Perhaps we can set up a signature word like "Graahhh" and spraypaint in the PD that anyone saying "Graahhh" is a member of DAG and survivor friendly. Shamus Oakshod 22:04, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

The unfortunate truth is that, at least the last time I was down there, Deakin Alley has been overrun and ransacked. However, there is a small contingent of remaining survivors, myself included, fighting to the last breath in St. Daniel's. The generator may be gone, but there's still a light barricade, and the place hasn't been ransacked yet. Thus, we should concentrate all of our efforts there first, expel the 5 remaining zombies, and then push our efforts south into Deakin Alley. Don't leave those of us still on the front lines of this battle in St. Daniel's hanging. Get down/over here and help us out. As of right now, there are only 3 of us left, and I think I'm the only one who's no longer infected.

(I may be dead, but I'm coming to help anyway graman. Don't shoot me. Shamus Oakshod 22:07, 4 November 2006 (UTC))

In other news, I just came across a PKer. His name is DCZimmer. Kill on site and please DO NOT REVIVE! Graman 09:12, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

03 November 2006

Deakin PD has been under assault for several days. Moments ago, I reinforced the barricades on both the Police Department and St. Daniel's to EHB, but there are still 5 zeds within St. Daniel's, along with several survivors. I recommend that we make the PD's security our priority, followed by St. Daniel's. After the buildings are secure, generators are needed for both buildings. Casualties from the last two days should gather at nearby Lawrance Way, which is an established revive point. Good luck. Nermid 20:54, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

22 October 2006

On behalf of the group, I would like to welcome Ninis Alsambra Smith and Private Pucker to the Deakin Alley Gang. May your second-to-last AP always land you on a building with barricades VS+2! --Shamus Oakshod 08:47, 22 October 2006 (BST)

3 October 2006

Zebhu Varkon has come to lend his axe blade and firearms to the righteous DAG cause. Nixbank has suffered for far too long without effective survivor coordination and cooperation. The Deakin Alley Police Dept has been ransacked several times by the foul zeds over the past month. That needs to stop right now. The first order of business is to secure Deakin Alley PD indefinitely from the group of about 14 zombies who consistently cluster outside. How do we do this? Here's my plan:

  • When camping in Deakin Alley PD, always keep a reserve of 5 AP before logging off. If you can, log in several times a day to monitor the status of the barricades. If you see them getting low (i.e., below VS), use the 5 reserve AP to boost up the 'cades.
  • The top priority is to keep the 'cades intact. Getting ammo and blasting zombies should be secondary to keeping them out of the Police Dept. If the 'cades are below EHB when you log on, the first thing you should do is bring them back to EHB+. Do that BEFORE you begin getting ammo, blasting zombies, or getting first aid kits, etc. And always keep 5 AP in reserve.
  • Keep Mellish Towers at VS+2 as an entry portal.
  • Always keep the Factory and the Auto Repair facilities in the NE vicinity of Deakin Alley barricaded to EHB+, and make sure they both have fueled generators running.
  • Try to keep a spare generator and at least 2 fuel cans on hand at all times. Also try and keep 2 FAKs and 1 revive syringe on hand as well. It's very tempting to load up on ammo and guns, but one thing I've learned over the past month is that keeping the zombies outside takes more than just guns. Without generators, fuel, revive syringes, FAKs, etc., there is really no chance to keep the PD fueled and safe for ammo gathering.
  • The younger and inexperienced players should make obtaining Free Running the very first skill you buy. Use Mellish Towers as a hideout until you get Free Running. Also get construction as one of the first four skills you buy.
  • Once we've got our little area near Deakin Alley secured, fueled, powered, etc., we can begin to actively mow down the standing zombies. But we are nowhere near that point yet. We have barely been able to keep our little piece of Malton unsoiled and unstained by the zombies. I urge your patience in sticking to my plan, if you believe it's worthwhile. I offer in return my absolute commitment to Nixbank.

-- Zebhu Varkon

30 August 2006

The M.D.D led by blackzilla1, former D.A.G member, have decided to help fight off the hordes in Nixbank.

21 August 2006

Welcome to DAG graman! To all groups seeking an alliance with DAG, please visit our discussion page for further information. Contrary to popular belief, DAG is very much active, but it is a behind-the-scenes sort of activeness, and as we have no central leadership and/or organization, it often appears as though no activity is occuring, most likely because we are all doing our own thing. Job G 22:16, 21 August 2006 (BST)

27 July 2006

Survivors have stabilized the suburb and Jolee has returned to Nixbank, looking for his compatriots. --Jolee 17:13, 27 July 2006 (BST)

14 July 2006

Jolee narrowly survived the Nixbank attack, as well as a fall of Marven Mall. It has taken some time for him to establish a foothold, since the general area seems to be almost devoid of survivors. Any DAG members who still need revives can head south to the wasteland at (8,86). I have some of you on my contact list and will recognize you. --Jolee 14:43, 14 July 2006 (BST)

6 July 2006

Nixbank has been overrun by zed, and survivors remain only in isolated, unorganized pockets. There are currentyl long lines at the revive point at Monro Row. Any survivors should avoid Nixbank at this point or enter with extreme caution. We have lost a battle, but DAG lives on, and I am confident Nixbank will restabilize soon. Job G 00:49, 7 July 2006 (BST)

2 June 2006

Nixbank and the surrounding areas are relatively safe at the moment. There are many new faces, and the citizens of Nixbank have been quite succesful in waging guerrilla style warfare against rampaging hordes of zed. With the lifting of radio wave jammers by the military surrounding the quarantine zone, handheld radios as well as radio transmitters are now being reappropriated. The area-specific frequency for Nixbank is 26.13 MHz. Other channels of note are the PK Alert Channel (26.66 MHz); Sacred Ground Policy Support (27.22 MHz); and the Nixbank Guerrilla Network (26.41 MHz) compliments of DAG! Job G 00:30, 3 June 2006 (BST)

20 April 2006

After a glorious period of peace and prosperity, Nixbank was overrun by a rampaging horde of the undead. Many survivors fell to the attacks of the undead, and the foul zed still maintain a strong presence. The DAG still remains in Nixbank, and will not leave until it is secure once again. Although the times may be tough at the moment, stay confident that the living will control Nixbank soon! Job G 04:31, 21 April 2006 (BST)

14 Feb 2006

A new threat has entered the fair suburb of Nixbank- namely, that of the GKers, or generator killers. The zombie menace cannot be stopped without the use of syringes, and to make them we need power. These generator killers are slowly organizing on some levels, it is becoming increasingly apparent that these individuals, whether zombie or human, must be taken out of action. A new list of generator killers will be posted above, and I encourage anyone that sees them to take them out of commission. These are confirmed generator killers, and anyone that feels they are here by mistake should let it be known on the discussion thread. If you have witnessed a GK attack, post the profile of the GKer, time, your profile, and a screenshot on the discussion thread. Individuals claiming membership to any of the known GK groups may be listed here as well. GKers will not be tolerated in Nixbank. Job G 09:32, 15 Feb 2006 (GMT)

The Deakin Alley Gang is looking for active survivors dedicated to protecting the survivors of Nixbank! Anyone is eligible, just follow the instructions posted above to join! It is becoming increasingly apparent that with the new ability to manufacture syringes, survivors with NecroNet Access should stock up on as many syringes as possible! This is the way we will stop this menace once and for all. Job G 08:14, 26 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Message From Leader Of | Demonic Aura Clan

Hey this TheDemonDragon leader of the Demonic Aura Clan. Sorry to edit your page but I will be setting up a revive point in the carpark next to the PD. This way when members of both our groups are revived, and are clear of any infection, then they can work on getting rid of a few of the zeds at the PD and the surrounding area. I cannot do it right now since I only have 2 syringes. If you guys have a problem with this let me know. TheDemonDragon| Leader of the Demonic Aura Clan

Great TDD. That should save a few AP. -- Shamus Oakshod 08:03, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
