History

The popular and well-known budget brothel Crabbe Bank has a north-facing main entrance. As its popularity increased and its prices decreased, the queue to get in became longer and longer. The street once known as "Respectable Gentleman Boulevard" was renamed to the much more accurate Expectant and Itchy Dicks Row, shortened to 'Dix Row' by the city council, in order to save money (which was subsequently spent in Crabbe Bank) on the sign.
