Description

Welcome to Doveton Towers in Osmondville.

Structurally, Doveton Towers was one of the finest built skyscrapers in all of Malton, and is often seen on postcards from the suburb. The concrete and steel construction has never displayed structural weakness, even during the great storm of 1986 when several buildings in Malton took major damage from extremely high winds.

Atop both peaks are phone masts that serve not only the Oscom Corporation's cellular customers, but they are also leased to a half dozen other communications firms in Malton.

The towers feature connecting basements and sub-basements, for both professional use and for maintenance crews and building employees. The basements of both buildings are like a mall, featuring several dining options from fast food to formal dining, as well as a number of small businesses catering to the employees and clients of Doveton Towers. These businesses include salons, barber shops, dentists, clothing stores, convenience stores, souvenir shops, coffee shops, a bakery, and a couple of bars. One of the bars, Oliver's Place is a sports bar featuring a giant plasma wall for major televised sporting events and several large plasma screen televisions placed throughout the bar for other sporting events. This bar is also owned by members of the Osmond family.

History

Prior to the quarantine of Malton in July of 2005, Doveton Towers was the headquarters for a number of telecommunications companies and electronics firms. One of the biggest companies located in Doveton Towers was Oscom Corporation, a cellular communications firm owned by Percy Osmond of the Osmond family. The Osmond family, having founded the suburb of Osmondville, still retained numerous properties within the suburb and had several businesses located within the suburb prior to the quarantine in July of 2005. The management company that handled Doveton Towers was also owned by the Osmond family.

Barricade Policy

Building should be Extremely Heavily Barricaded per the Osmondville Barricade Policy

Current Status

Barricades have been repeatedly built up and then torn down by zombies. Malton Telephone has tried to maintain barricades and generator, but no individuals or groups have tried to maintain the building and defend it.

You are inside Doveton Towers. The building has been very heavily barricaded.

A portable generator has been set up here. It is running.
