The Dead, now the largest group again with 198 members, have been making the rounds in the Hills ruining and killing all survivors. With only a few pockets of unruined buildings and corpses littering the streets the Hills are back to business as usual. The Dead/DHPD skirmishes prove that neither group will ever really leave. -- 15:23, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

A recent radio broadcast on 26.60MHz by an unknown individual encouraged survivors to converge on Dunell Hills on July 15th, 2018 to retake the suburb from The Dead. This broadcast, previously advertised on the same frequency as of high importance, was met with equal amounts of derisive commentary and wholehearted support. -- Dragonshardz 05:35, 11 July 2018 (UTC)

And almost as if in response to that, the suburb has gotten much more exciting again, with the Dury Building falling today to combined forces from Undeadites and The Dead, the latter experiencing a resurgence on the stats page – up to 176 active members from a mere 80-odd. Dunell Hills declared a Ghost Town! - An eerie calm has come over the suburb of Dunell Hills. After long months of hard fighting, the streets are now nearly empty. A few survivors still cling to a handful of buildings in the north east parts of the suburb, and a couple feral zombies still wander about, but most streets and buildings are desolate and empty.  Whether the fighters killed each other off, or moved on to other fronts is unknown, but the chill wind that blows through the empty streets and broken windows is the only sound to be heard throughout most of Dunell Hills. --Boneshred The Hungry 20:07, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

At least 21 zombies on the streets, with a further 26 estimated indoors holding ruined Tactical Resource Points. All 13 of the suburbs TRPs are in ruins, as is nearly the entire suburb. Dunell Hills is still firmly in zombie hands. The Dury NT and all nearby buildings -- TRPs and non-descripts alike -- are open and ruined. What scant traces of survivor presence happen to wander through are short-lived, and even Hiding In Plain Sight is a dangerous tactic for survivors. With the recent fall of Caiger Mall to the north and the generally bad conditions for survivors in the entire northwest -- not to mention the vigilance of the Dead who have claimed this suburb for themselves -- it doesn't look like the situation in Dunell Hills will change any time soon. --WanYao 02:32, 24 June 2008 (BST)

There are a grand total of four buildings not currently empty and ruined. These do not include a single resource building, nor a single powered building, nor anything of any strategic value. Mobs of zombies are busy hammering down those barricades anyway. The free-running lanes into the suburb have been cut off, and the surrounding suburbs are equally devastated. There is no survivor presence within the suburb at all. If there has been an attempt to "reclaim" the suburb by a certain group who hasn't been able to do so for the past three years, then it has gone more or less unnoticed. -- 06:27, 15 April 2011 (BST)

March 29th
Stopped by and noticed the danger level changed significantly, so I booked it back to do another sweep. Numerous buildings in the north are up, including Yae Drive PD and both Stephen General and Catherine General Hospitals. However, barricading is VERY minimal, with more than half the buildings at lightly or below, several of them just plain open. Counted around 40 zombies, and less than a dozen survivors. Barricade levels and the number of survivors spotted strongly suggests that this area is NOT as safe as the danger level on the map suggests, but that most of the rebuilt buildings are unoccupied and up primarily as decoys for the hungry undead. This suburb is NOT SAFE by any stretch due to the very anemic barricading, though there's enough life here to no longer count as a ghost town. --Tempest56 01:43 GMT, 29 March 2008
:Wrong. What you described is almost exactly a textbook Ghost Town. In particular, with only 40-50 zombies (and that is assuming you missed a few) in the surburb, it can not be considered Very Dangerous. And if the 'cades are as weak as you say, they'll only be up a day or so. Danger rating adjusted accordingly: Ghost Town. --WanYao 09:47, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

New sweep completed. For the first time in quite a while, there are some small signs of life in the area. Multiple scattered buildings are intact (Stone Motel (00,37), Heal Museum (1,34), Studley Towers (4,30), Brendan General Hospital (4,38), Lucius General Hospital (5,35)). Barricade levels are generally low-ish, suggesting only a small survivor presence in the area. Undead presence is unchanged from last report at about 40 visible from the streets. The next two or three days will show which is smaller in this ghost town - the handful of zombies or the handful of survivors. --Tempest56 01:38 GMT, 27 March 2008

Suburb was mostly in survivor hands as of yesterday. However, The Dead appear to have staged a major resurgence and the number of active undead in the Hills has doubled or more in the last 24 hours. Entire area around Dury has been demolished, with multiple break-ins across the area. NW quadrant is currently still safe, but the SE is almost totally destroyed and the SW is being hit hard. Situation is still developing. Neighboring suburbs are suggested to be on alert for spill-over. -- 10:20, 31 March 2011 (EST)
March 24th
The fighting in Dunell Hills seems to have stabilised to an impasse - the majority of buildings and resource points in the suburb are now barricaded and lit, although breakins continue to happen regularly all across the suburb. The central resource buildings remain in zombie hands for the majority of the time, although survivors frequently clear up to 18 zeds at a time to reclaim them before they're ruined again within hours. Hundreds of survivors continue to operate in the suburb, with revive queues dealt with in a timely manner. Ezekiel UK 23:08, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Intense fighting continues. At the moment most major resource buildings are ruined, but there's a constant stream of survivor incursions. Fighting is likely to continue for some time. -- 01:33, 17 March 2011 (EST)

The Hills have been turned into a war zone again. The DHPD appears to have rallied a large number of allies to their cause - The Fortress, Army Control Corps, Knights Templar and Soldiers of Crossman have all been spotted in the suburb during fighting in the last day or two. Multiple buildings are up and barricaded (sometimes even lit), but The Dead and assorted others are keeping a near-constant assault on resource buildings. It's unclear at this time which has the advantage, though the survivors seem to currently have a lead in numbers. -- 14:19, 8 March 2011 (EDT)

Several tours across the area through the last month have revealed extremely heavy fighting. Several survivor groups have pushed into the area in force, and multiple buildings are rebuilt. However, zombie presence/organization has also significantly increased, and keeping buildings up and active is a challenge - particularly resource buildings. An accounting of what is and isn't currently up is unhelpful, as most locations that are rebuilt are reruined within 24 hours. I did an extensive tour of Dunnel Hills today, checking all hospitals and most PDs, inside and out. Also checked inside numerous random buildings. Only one building, a non-TRP was even barricaded and only at QSB; all others were ruined. No survivors were seen, no evidence of survivors at all. However, zombie presence is also negligible: mostly ones or twos, and scattered widely. The largest singe group seen was 16 -- at an indoor revive point -- followed by 14 in a ruined library which was recently visited by the QSG. 5 "squatters" were inside the Drury NT, 3 I believe outside.

It seems that the "photograhpic evidence" is needed after all. Unless the situation has changed
dramatically in a just few hours (possible, but completely unverified), the recent upgrade of Dunill Hills to moderate is not at all justified. It was a ghost town at 22:00-ish Malton Time.

:It's a suburb <u>danger level</u>, the designation of ghost town has no bearing on danger, it only indicates the population of a suburb. Any survivors in the area are unlikely to be found by the low zombie population just as any zombies are unlikely to be hunted. Members of the DHPD have been in the area and experienced few attacks. I stand by my assessment. FmrPFCBob 03:47, 8 September 2007 (BST)

A few small changes from me, if your going to have a wiki war over something can you atleast spell the names of the buildings right, its "Dury" not "Drury" this spelling is key to survivors so they know the goings on precisely. Dunell Hills is indeed in bad shape. Survivors are scattered at best and revive points clogged. Most if not all of the buildings are ruined. But DHPD is not far away. Working from neighboring suburbs held by allies we are still making revive runs and as toolkits are gathered we'll start recoveringing the heartland. Routine patrol shows a dead suburb. Minor signs of survivor presence in the NW (Cotty PD, St. Justin's), though the barricade levels and lack of lights say it could be the work of as few as 2-3 survivors. Counted about 25 zombies in ones and twos visible from the street. With the DHPD's known long-term push to retake the suburb, the widespread ruin in spite of that suggests a larger number hiding within the buildings. May be a ghost town, may be very dangerous. Much of the suburb has fallen into zed hands. The attacks don't seem coordinated, there just aren't enough living survivors left to make a big enough dent in the feral population. If you're in the area, prepare to spend your days barricading. Currently, scattered buildings in Dunnell are still standing, including Lolley Library in the northeast corner. I may be missing something here, but Dunell Hills seems in bad shape. I've seen very few survivors in the eastern side of the surburb. Coffin Drive had a number of zombies waiting for a revive, but I only saw two survivors in nearby safehouses. Brendan General is overrun and a great many buildings in the eastern part of the 'burb are open to the street and/or empty of survivors. Not to mention the local graffiti doesn't stop short of ominous. The local zombie population may have declined, but it looks like it took a gigantic chunk of the survivor population with it. A small tour through the suburb shows that the battles around Dunnell Hills came closer. Most buildings I ran through are ransacked or at least the safe houses of Zeds. Cotty - ransacked and smashed, with 2 creatures of hell in it. A quick look at the suburbs center shows lots of small - medium undead groups attacking the barricades while most survivors try to sneak out and run or hide in a corner, heavily injured and beg for a FAK. A quick revivification can't be guaranteed at the moment.

With the concentration of Zeds in the Eastern DMZ, and more significantly around Caiger Mall has allowed a significant amount of Malton free of significant Zed activity. The DHPD issued the following Message: Congrats to the Zed groups on their honorable victory, The RRF, ShackNews, DeVM, and to a lesser extent Broken Syringe receive a "well done" as this most likely hearalds additional changes in the game mechanics. To those who have used unfair tactics and strategies...you know who you are, Survivor and Zombie alike recognise your loser mentality and wish you all the luck in the real world." Survivor numbers have varied wildly from as few as twelve to as many as sixty eight. Despite the relentless assault, moral among the DHPD and other survivors inside remains moderate to high.

Former Veterans of Fort Creedy have joined the seige as DHPD allies, acounting for about a third of the Zombies in the area. Total hostile Zed presence is currently 37, Allied Zeds 14, And 6 awaiting revival at Coffins drive. DHPD teams have responded along with numerous allied groups to put aproximatly 40 survivors spread throughout the Cotty zone. The Predators, one of the factions atacking Cotty claim significant gains, the number of unharmed DHPD Command Staff currently residing in Cotty Precinct vehemently disagree. Second, officers of the DHPD do NOT kill other survivors without warrant, if you have been killed by someone claiming to be DHPD, please contact us with the profile and register with our Science department for a revive. Third, if we set up a precinct in a PD it is not an attempt to claim territory or displace an existing groups claim, rather the precinct chief is to act as an envoy so that we may assist survivors near said P.D. We will follow the guidelines of an existing group’s mandate, unless it directly conflicts with the majority of survivors in the area. We recognize that conflicts will arise but hope that they can be resolved without the need to open fire upon one another. Signed: DHPD Command Staff.

Revives are slow but steady, becoming much more selective due to the unstable nature of certain revivees. Northern Dunell Hills has been maintained with relative regularity. A horde of about 100 zeds has been roaming the suburb concentrating mostly in the Southern and central parts of the suburb. The DHPD presence has made itself apparent and seems to be strongly thriving, though police stations are still a danger zone due to their highly targetted nature. Mysterious graffitti has appeared around buildings apparently attempting to direct and organize the undead. Though the danger has not yet past, the Dunell Hills area seems firmly in the hands of the survivors due to the efforts of the DHPD, MCDU of the DEM and other DEM members, the Inanimates, and multiple other volunteers.

Due to the incessant presence of feral zombies in the suburb, Dunell Hills has gone into "lockdown" defensive posture. This policy involves most buildings being baricaded to Extremely Heavily while avoiding direct contact with the feral population. Survivors without free running are advised to evacuate the area as soon as possible, preferably to Owsleybank.

April 12th
Following the second seige of Caiger Mall and the outright admission of defeat on the part of the zombie hordes, a group called the Shining Ones, led by the zombie Warlord Xyu, stormed the once peaceful suburb, Crushing it and the mighty DHPD. Since that time, many ferals have stayed behind, turning the suburb into a full on a minature version of Ridleybank with all secured buildings becoming quickly cracked open and survivors killed or badly injured.

--ooɹd ǝʌɐɥ sʇɐoƃ sʍoʅʚ ǝɹɔuoɯ uǝɹɐʞWe're going to destroy everything, and you can't stop usYou rated this wiki '1'!

--カシュー, ザ ゾンビ クィーン (ビープ ビープ) ;x You rated this wiki '1'! DHPD Officer 666 and Officer Alcoholic do not represent the DHPD. Any reports from them are not based on information held by the DHPD. It is impossible to walk the streets of Dunell Hills. Dangerous does not begin to cover it. Zeds everywhere. Destruction everywhere. No resources. Less than 72 hours later, Dunell Hills is once more a dead zone. Of the 56 buildings in the suburb, only 5 are intact as of this report, 2 of which are open and 1 only lightly barricaded. Groups of undead sighted from the street of up to a dozen, overall count outside was ~70 with more expected inside. Suburb is extremely dangerous. --User:Tempest56 15:19, 1 April 2011 (EST)

March

March 31st

Suburb was mostly in survivor hands as of yesterday. However, The Dead appear to have staged a major resurgence and the number of active undead in the Hills has doubled or more in the last 24 hours. Entire area around Dury has been demolished, with multiple break-ins across the area. NW quadrant is currently still safe, but the SE is almost totally destroyed and the SW is being hit hard. Situation is still developing. Neighboring suburbs are suggested to be on alert for spill-over. --User:Tempest56 10:20, 31 March 2011 (EST)

March 17th

Intense fighting continues. At the moment most major resource buildings are ruined, but there's a constant stream of survivor incursions. The undead appear to have the current advantage thanks to holding Dury and the surrounding buildings with large numbers, but there are survivor footholds in other parts of the suburb. Fighting is likely to continue for some time. --User:Tempest56 01:33, 17 March 2011 (EST)

March 8th

The Hills have been turned into a war zone again. The DHPD appears to have rallied a large number of allies to their cause - The Fortress, Army Control Corps, Knights Templar and Soldiers of Crossman have all been spotted in the suburb during fighting in the last day or two. Multiple buildings are up and barricaded (sometimes even lit), but The Dead and assorted others are keeping a near-constant assault on resource buildings. It's unclear at this time which has the advantage, though the survivors seem to currently have a lead in numbers. --User:Tempest56 14:19, 8 March 2011 (EDT)

The situation has finally stabilized - however, not in the favor of the living. After a month and a half of difficult fighting, all survivor presence has been pushed out of Dunell Hills. Today's tour showed no buildings left unruined and no signs of survivor presence. Counted more than 70 zombies on the streets in small groups. Survivors are advised to consider DH to be very dangerous. --Tempest56 08:53, 10 November 2010 (EST)

October

October 31st

Several tours across the area through the last month have revealed extremely heavy fighting. Several survivor groups have pushed into the area in force, and multiple buildings are rebuilt. However, zombie presence/organization has also significantly increased, and keeping buildings up and active is a challenge - particularly resource buildings. An accounting of what is and isn't currently up is unhelpful, as most locations that are rebuilt are reruined within 24 hours. Both sides are currently very active, and this suburb should be considered very dangerous. --Tempest56 01:55, 31 October 2010 (EDT)

Signs of a major survivor incursion into the area along the east side of the suburb. Several buildings are rebuilt, rebarricaded and even lit! Dury is still down, but the historical Club Meade is up and running for the first time in what may be years. Barricade levels and the scope of rebuilding suggest the work of at least a dozen coordinated survivors, and several DHPD members were spotted in the area. However zombie presence is also on a sharp rise, with ~45 spotted from the street and they appear to be starting to cluster up into groups. Suburb appears to be going hot again. Will repatrol in a week to verify the situation. --Tempest56 09:24, 4 October 2010 (EDT)

September 23rd

Today's pass revealed signs of another push into the suburb. Several buildings in the NW have been rebuilt and rebarricaded, including Cotty PD, St. Luke's church, and both Stephen and Catherine hospitals. Barricading levels are moderate but survivable. Zombie presence on the street was ~30 in singles and pairs. Will repatrol in a few days to see if the new push holds. --Tempest56 10:10, 23 September 2010 (EDT)

September 1st

Another routine patrol. Much the same results. Only sign of survivor presence was the Pettman Museum, which was only loosely barricaded when I passed by. Counted ~40 zombies in singles or pairs that were visible from the street. Area definitely survivor-unfriendly. --Tempest56 22:22, 1 September 2010 (EDT)

August

August 25th

Routine patrol shows a dead suburb. Minor signs of survivor presence in the NW (Cotty PD, St. Justin's), though the barricade levels and lack of lights say it could be the work of as few as 2-3 survivors. Counted about 25 zombies in ones and twos visible from the street. With the DHPD's known long-term push to retake the suburb, the widespread ruin in spite of that suggests a larger number hiding within the buildings. May be a ghost town, may be very dangerous. Survivors entering the area are advised to take caution. --Tempest56 13:15, 25 August 2010 (EDT)

Today the zombies took a thrust towards the eastern part of town. Lucius General Hospital has been breached and survivors are dispersing. It seems more zombies have arrived from the surrounding suburbs, estimated around 40-45. Only a few safe havens remain in Dunell Hills right now, and even those are going to be assaulted soon. Bogdan Radu 08:26, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

January 13th

After a short scouting run in Dunell Hills I made up a brief report on the situation. The zombies clearly overran most of the western side of the suburb, I counted about 20 on the streets and another 5 or so in the couple of ruined buildings I checked out. I'm estimating around 30-35 of zombies in the suburb right now.

The eastern side is hanging in there but survivor population is low and most buildings are either empty or have only a handful of people. Most of the survivors I encountered are from the Dunell Hills PD.
Considering the surrounding suburbs are holding up quite good at the moment, I'll update the Danger Map to "dangerous" since "very dangerous" is a bit extreme for the situation. Bogdan out. Bogdan Radu 15:08, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
