DHPD Officers and other local survivors are battling the feral zombies in the area over control of resource buildings which change hands as the zombies move around; All in all, kind of quiet here in the heart of the DMZ as far as things go. It seems just the normal grind for both sides and the occasional murderer... --Marty Banks (aka. Mundane) <DHPD> 04:58, 29 August 2009 (BST)

In other news, NecroWatch reported in from the Dury Building today. A recent NecroNet scan had revealed that there were 50 zombies within scanning range of the facility. Of these numbers, 6 zombies were at the Dury facility itself, 5 zombies were at Lolley Library, 4 zombies were at Brendan General Hospital, while 3 zombies could be found at Ostrehan Towers, Stephen General Hospital and a factory to the southeast. The remaining zombies, which numbered in the 1's and 2's, were scattered across the area and posed no serious threat to any other specific locations. --Mobius

October 1st

At least 21 zombies on the streets, with a further 26 estimated indoors holding ruined Tactical Resource Points. All 13 of the suburbs TRPs are in ruins, as is nearly the entire suburb. As the largest sighted single gathering of zombies was 6, this apparently now qualifies as a Ghost Town, unless evidence of further hidden zombies comes to light. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 17:59, 1 October 2008 (BST)

Of Dunell Hill's six hospitals[1] [2], only one is un-ruined (St. Justin's, EHB with no power[3]). The Drury NT [4], Billett Auto Repair[5][ and both Cotty Street[6] and Broadbelt PDs are also ruined. The indoor revive point at St. Lorenzo's Church is being serviced -- though slowly. Given the suburb's TRP status, as well as recent External Military reports, a modification of the danger level to Very Dangerous is in order. --WanYao 06:07, 26 September 2008 (BST)

June 24th

Dunell Hills is still firmly in zombie hands. The Dury NT and all nearby buildings -- TRPs and non-descripts alike -- are open and ruined. What scant traces of survivor presence happen to wander through are short-lived, and even Hiding In Plain Sight is a dangerous tactic for survivors. With the recent fall of Caiger Mall to the north and the generally bad conditions for survivors in the entire northwest -- not to mention the vigilance of the Dead who have claimed this suburb for themselves -- it doesn't look like the situation in Dunell Hills will change any time soon. --WanYao 02:32, 24 June 2008 (BST)

Stopped by and noticed the danger level changed significantly, so I booked it back to do another sweep. Numerous buildings in the north are up, including Yae Drive PD and both Stephen General and Catherine General Hospitals. However, barricading is VERY minimal, with more than half the buildings at lightly or below, several of them just plain open. Counted around 40 zombies, and less than a dozen survivors. Barricade levels and the number of survivors spotted strongly suggests that this area is NOT as safe as the danger level on the map suggests, but that most of the rebuilt buildings are unoccupied and up primarily as decoys for the hungry undead. This suburb is NOT SAFE by any stretch due to the very anemic barricading, though there's enough life here to no longer count as a ghost town. --Tempest56 01:43 GMT, 29 March 2008

Wrong. What you described is almost exactly a textbook Ghost Town. In particular, with only 40-50 zombies (and that is assuming you missed a few) in the surburb, it can not be considered Very Dangerous. And if the 'cades are as weak as you say, they'll only be up a day or so. Danger rating adjusted accordingly: Ghost Town. --WanYao 09:47, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

March 27th

New sweep completed. For the first time in quite a while, there are some small signs of life in the area. Multiple scattered buildings are intact (Stone Motel (00,37), Heal Museum (1,34), Studley Towers (4,30), Brendan General Hospital (4,38), Lucius General Hospital (5,35)). Barricade levels are generally low-ish, suggesting only a small survivor presence in the area. Undead presence is unchanged from last report at about 40 visible from the streets. The next two or three days will show which is smaller in this ghost town - the handful of zombies or the handful of survivors. --Tempest56 01:38 GMT, 27 March 2008

March 15th

Finished another sweep of the area. 100% ruins again. Zero survivors. Zombie population is slightly decreased from before, with ~40 visible from the streets. There's not much of anything left of Dunnell Hills. --Tempest56 01:06 GMT, 15 March 2008

All buildings are ruined and the organised zombie horde totals about 100 shamblers. Even if they don't all stand in the same building, this suburb is Very Dangerous indeed. (The previous unsigned comment was posted by Iggles 18:17, November 18th. --WanYao 10:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC))
There are still a few buildings holding out, notably along the borders of West Becktown. Although there are indeed at least one hundred zombies within the suburb, a scarce majority seems to be coordinated, while the rest follow the groans. In conclusion, I am in agreement in your updating the danger level to Very Dangers. --Banana reads Scoundrell for all of Yesterday's News, Today! 19:33, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

September

September 12th

After three days of hit-and-run attacks on a zombie occupation force that was surprisingly persistent, the forces of Operation Khan retook the Dury Building, firmly establishing the success of the operation. How this will fit into the overall chaos-fest that is Malton's Northwestern region remains to be seen, but for the time being Dunell Hills is relatively calm. -- Kenefie Station Chief Harry Likos, DHPD

September 9th

The silence that had settled over the streets of Dunell Hills was shattered this morning by the sounds of human voices and gunfire. DHPD, INO, and ZS forces rushed into the suburb as part of Operation Khan, yelling battle cries as they stormed a number of buildings. Broadbelt Grove Police Department and Zephyrinus General Hospital were quickly taken, and are currently well barricaded and guarded. A number of strikes were also performed on the zed force inside the Dury Building, although the NT still remains in undead hands. KHAAAAAAAAAN! -- Kenefie Station Chief Harry Likos, DHPD

September 8th

A scout of Dunell Hills today showed an extremely low survivor population, an extremely low zombie population, and a vast majority of buildings ruined. Dunell Hills is most definitely a Ghost Town - I'm not sure why there was even a wiki war about it. Changed. --Donathin 16:25, 8 September 2007 (BST)

There is no wiki war for my part. I just don't think "ghost town" is indicative of a "danger level" (which is a seperate issue) so I set it to moderate which best applied in my view. Wan Yao seems to be personally insulted that I don't share his view, had he changed it to ghost town and then I changed it to moderate I could understand his reaction. Either way I don't care, its certainly not "very dangerous". FmrPFCBob 16:44, 8 September 2007 (BST)
Before even reading any of this, I posted to the main Suburb:Talk page. I explained myself and apologised for some of my over-zealousness and defensiveness, and politely asked for this all to stop. Now, in the future, please refrain form trying to read my mind and psychoanalyse my motivations via the wiki, okay? That's just a not-so-subtle form of name-calling... Are you up for stopping this, because it's just hurting the community? Please stop... thanks. --WanYao 17:35, 8 September 2007 (BST)
No problem, I responded there. But you should be aware, over-zealousness leads to misunderstandings especially when you profess neutrality and the UD wiki community dearly loves to push peoples buttons. FmrPFCBob 17:43, 8 September 2007 (BST)

September 7th

I did an extensive tour of Dunnel Hills today, checking all hospitals and most PDs, inside and out. Also checked inside numerous random buildings. Only one building, a non-TRP was even barricaded and only at QSB; all others were ruined. No survivors were seen, no evidence of survivors at all. However, zombie presence is also negligible: mostly ones or twos, and scattered widely. The largest singe group seen was 16 -- at an indoor revive point -- followed by 14 in a ruined library which was recently visited by the QSG. 5 "squatters" were inside the Drury NT, 3 I believe outside.

From what I saw, I'd say Dunnel Hills is pretty close to a ghost town.... Also, I have numerous Iwitness shots of my tour, if anyone requires such things... --WanYao 23:03, 7 September 2007 (BST)

"Film at 11"

It seems that the "photograhpic evidence" is needed after all. Unless the situation has changed dramatically in a just few hours (possible, but completely unverified), the recent upgrade of Dunill Hills to moderate is not at all justified. It was a ghost town at 22:00-ish Malton Time.

It's a suburb danger level, the designation of ghost town has no bearing on danger, it only indicates the population of a suburb. Any survivors in the area are unlikely to be found by the low zombie population just as any zombies are unlikely to be hunted. Members of the DHPD have been in the area and experienced few attacks. I stand by my assessment. FmrPFCBob 03:47, 8 September 2007 (BST)
"Ghost town" *is* a danger level. Read the legend on the big map, for crying out loud. Get your definitions straight.
Dunell Hills is a ghost town.... I'm not going to get into an edit war with you, but it is a gorram ghost town. --WanYao 04:50, 8 September 2007 (BST)
You really enjoy threatening wiki wars don't you? My response is on the suburb talk page. FmrPFCBob 12:45, 8 September 2007 (BST)

A few small changes from me, if your going to have a wiki war over something can you atleast spell the names of the buildings right, its "Dury" not "Drury" this spelling is key to survivors so they know the goings on precisely. Dunell hills was a ghost town for part of that day, but then the situation bettered (DeathsBrother)

After fighting a running battle throughout different parts of the DMZ, the DHPD strike force materialized in its home suburb three days ago and swooped down on St. Justin's Hospital, taking it with ease. After a quick and fruitful sweep of the premises the strike force had restocked its medical supplies and vanished back into the ruins. Several other groups have been sighted cooperating with DHPD forces. The raids continue to be planned. DHPD Fights On! -- Kenefie Station Chief Harry Likos, DHPD

Dunell Hills is indeed in bad shape. Survivors are scattered at best and revive points clogged. Most if not all of the buildings are ruined. But DHPD is not far away. Working from neighboring suburbs held by allies we are still making revive runs and as toolkits are gathered we'll start recoveringing the heartland. FmrPFCBob 13:32, 18 August 2007 (BST)

August 15th

Much of the suburb has fallen into zed hands. The attacks don't seem coordinated, there just aren't enough living survivors left to make a big enough dent in the feral population. If you're in the area, prepare to spend your days barricading. Currently, scattered buildings in Dunnell are still standing, including Lolley Library in the northeast corner. If DHPD is around, they might consider it a launching pad to retake the Yea Drive PD which fell sometime yesterday or last night. -- NeenerNeener 15:28, 15 August 2007 (CST)

Much of the suburb? All of it. This may just be the very first suburb to be 100% ruined Slick Willie 06:10, 17 August 2007 (BST)
Yup. Lolley finally fell while I was asleep. Now I have to go lurching to an active RP. I do wonder though, ARE there any buildings actually standing in Dunnell? -- NeenerNeener 2:44, 17 August 2007 (CST)
"Willie... you're so full of s***... I'm coming back to the Hills and bringing the Uppill Boys; I'm gonna get my friends up... and then... then i'm gonna come for your zombie a** and any other undead freak in my way!!" (Disclaimer: I'm in Character, I'm not actually upset at you willie... just having fun... ;-) in any case though... I am coming to help my friends reclaim our home...) --Marty Banks (aka. August 10th

An extremely large feral population has entered the suburb with a corresponding decline in unaffiliated survivor presence. This could be attributed to the ransacking of the Dury Building, Dunell Hills only NT Building. Efforts are being taken by the DHPD to control the outbreak, but the current outlook is bleak. --Banana reads Scoundrell for all of Yesterday's News, Today! 07:01, 10 August 2007 (BST)

August 8th

I may be missing something here, but Dunell Hills seems in bad shape. I've seen very few survivors in the eastern side of the surburb. Coffin Drive had a number of zombies waiting for a revive, but I only saw two survivors in nearby safehouses. Brendan General is overrun and a great many buildings in the eastern part of the 'burb are open to the street and/or empty of survivors. Not to mention the local graffiti doesn't stop short of ominous. The local zombie population may have declined, but it looks like it took a gigantic chunk of the survivor population with it. One wonders, if you checked the closest hordes, how many would have Dunnell Hills licenses in their wallets? -- NeenerNeener 10:04, 8 August 2007 (CST)

Attention all Dunell Hills officers, I am in the Yea Drive Police Department, it is secure for the meantime, and is extremely heavily barricaded. I've done a small tour yesterday, counted a few zeds in and outside of central and eastern Dunell Hills, a few hundred survivors could easily get control again. --PoisoN 11:52, 18 July 2007 (BST)

The Yea Drive Police Dept is under zombie control, this is obviously war against the police department. Other controlled buildings are the St. Marcus's Church, the Fortune Building, Eckersley Cinema, Club Illing, Lolley Library, several streets, and other buildings I have yet to check. --Sir DanteSparda of the Dunell Hills Police Force

EDIT as of July 16th, As I have suspected, the almost the whole suburb is taken over by the **** zombie invaders I'm took over and am currently hiding in a cinema one block south of the Yea Drive Police Department with level 11 Heavy Barricades. --Sir DanteSparda of the Dunell Hills Police Force

Zephyrinus is empty, the Dury building is empty, Broadbelt is empty, Zombies have prevailed in taking out the 3 main resource buildings in The Hills, further buildings surrounding these resource buildings are now falling so many of those who retreated and did not give a brave fight are now dead. If further ransacking is to continue i suggest that the danger level is increased. --DeathsBrother

Big Zombie party in Dury. 18 Undead individuals well, basically do nothing in the Dury Building. Its empty and ransacked now. May 17th

The whole suburb is starting to look better now, with many buildings continually powered and barricaded, and low casualities overall. A combined effort by the Malton Rangers and Yagoton Revivification Clinic, combined with the local DHPD, is starting to have effect as the zombie population is starting to decline as some discouraged zombies start to wander to another, more promising and less defended suburbs. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 04:06, 17 May 2007 (BST)

May 11th

A few buildings are continually staffed now. Casualties are being taken, but despite regular assaults on the barricades and some break-ins, the buildings are holding for now. With two barricaded malls nearby allowing survivors to gather supplies (thanks to those defending Caiger and Calvert) the population in the Hills is slowly rising. Adventurous survivors looking for something interesting to do could find a lot to do in the Hills now. --Yet another Steve 06:36, 11 May 2007 (BST)

Dunell Hills, fair and pretty, fell into zed hands though we did give it our best shot! All survivors are going to have to avoid the area because there are a lot of zeds over here. Hopefully, our sacrifice will buy some time for other survivors to get their act together. As for us, at the DHPD, we do get kind of used to the Mall Tour paying us a visit ever since Caiger fell anyway. March 21st

The Dury Building (NT) has been under siege for a couple of days now. The zed mob varies between 30 to 60. There have been many survivor casualties as of late. This seems to be a sort of a slap in Malton Rangers and DHPD's face. The zeds have become a commanding presence.

Update: Just adding a small update to the one given above. Though there have been some victories by the relentless zombie horde, a forgotten update has been left out. The zombie numbers swell high over the numbers of humans inside the Dury and surrounding buildings, the fact that the horde has still not been able to take control has got to be a major fact in this update given. Even though the battle continues, the DHPD nor the Malton Rangers will leave the Hills or surrounding suburbs.....

March 15th

With the combined efforts of the Malton Rangers and the DHPD, Dunell Hills is now a safer place with many police departments and nectrotech buildings strongly in survivor hands.

February

February 25th

With the loss of most on the suburb, the DHPD is resorting to Zombie on Zombie attacks. Whole area is deviod of all survivors, this is the result of the lost of the Necrotech buildings. Most Necrotech buildings in the greater Malton area are being attacked by zombie hordes, before the suburb is taken. It is quite effective.

February 23rd

A small tour through the suburb shows that the battles around Dunnell Hills came closer. Most buildings I ran through are ransacked or at least the safe houses of Zeds. Cotty - ransacked and smashed, with 2 creatures of hell in it. A quick look at the suburbs center shows lots of small - medium undead groups attacking the barricades while most survivors try to sneak out and run or hide in a corner, heavily injured and beg for a FAK. A quick revivification can't be guaranteed at the moment.

Vacation

Everyone in Dunell Hills was on vacation. No news!

November

November 10th

After a Brief loss of Cotty PD, it is now back in the Hands of DHPD personel. Operation Backhand succeded better than hoped as numbers have reduced dramaticaly. Accumulated Syringes are estimated at aproximatly 500, so the incoming refugees will be welcomed with open arms. With the concentration of Zeds in the Eastern DMZ, and more significantly around Caiger Mall has allowed a significant amount of Malton free of significant Zed activity. The DHPD issued the following Message: Congrats to the Zed groups on their honorable victory, The RRF, ShackNews, DeVM, and to a lesser extent Broken Syringe receive a "well done" as this most likely hearalds additional changes in the game mechanics. To those who have used unfair tactics and strategies...you know who you are, Survivor and Zombie alike recognise your loser mentality and wish you all the luck in the real world." The Aditional Statement of "Ron Burgundy, you are a fraking genius. Stay Classy" was issued by an anonoumous source.

November 8th

The siege of cotty led by the Predators horde has finally paid off. As of 10:35 p.m. EST, the doors remain open, while zombies keep piling in. Thansk to assistace by the MOTA and Undeadites the DHPD at cotty was dealt a finalizing blow. Zombies have been yelling out "dang zang" and will continue to do so the rest of the night. Last survivor numbers inside were known at or around 3 alive and heavily injurred. Reports stem that DHPD has went next door, to the arms, but the zombies live in victory this night. Next stop? Who really knows. But one thing is certain, if the Predators can horde as many as 90 zombies to the pd, then all hell can sure break loose at a mall. As of 11:18 p.m. est, there isnt a living body left in the pd, and it has been ransacked.

November 7th

The Siege of Cotty Precinct continues with as many as 90 Zeds maintaining the continuous assault, upon the heavily barricaded building. Survivor numbers have varied wildly from as few as twelve to as many as sixty eight. Despite the relentless assault, moral among the DHPD and other survivors inside remains moderate to high.

October

October 11th

A daring raid by the Predators brings down six DHPD officers, almost getting rid of the "click here to list names" button. Damn. One kill short. Also, members of various caiger based groups have been spotted, such as C4NT and CMS as a mob of 40+ zombies assaults the PD. There are always at least 20 some odd bodies on the ground at any given time.

September

Sept 26-29th

A Significant number of Zombies attack DHPD Headquarters at Cotty Police Department. This Group comprised primarily of unaffiliated Zombies also include elements of four Zombie groups. As of this writing the beseiging party had yet to inflict serious casualties among those residing inside with revivals and FAK runs surpassing the number of fallen and wounded. Former Veterans of Fort Creedy have joined the seige as DHPD allies, acounting for about a third of the Zombies in the area. Total hostile Zed presence is currently 37, Allied Zeds 14, And 6 awaiting revival at Coffins drive. DHPD teams have responded along with numerous allied groups to put aproximatly 40 survivors spread throughout the Cotty zone. The Predators, one of the factions atacking Cotty claim significant gains, the number of unharmed DHPD Command Staff currently residing in Cotty Precinct vehemently disagree. Maxwell Hammer, a perenial opponent of the DHPD apears to be significantly involved as does a number of other members of the DHPD Rogues Gallery.

September 26th

The Predator horde begins moving into Dunnell Hills after stiff resistance in West Becktown.

August

August 17th

The DHPD issues the following release by blanketing the area with grafitti tickertape, direct mailings, and at least one helecopter flying overhead: There have been numerous issues brought to our attention and would like to address them now. First, ALL survivors are welcome in the DMZ and specifically Dunell Hills, graffiti that indicates otherwise is griefing from an unknown source. Second, officers of the DHPD do NOT kill other survivors without warrant, if you have been killed by someone claiming to be DHPD, please contact us with the profile and register with our Science department for a revive. Third, if we set up a precinct in a PD it is not an attempt to claim territory or displace an existing groups claim, rather the precinct chief is to act as an envoy so that we may assist survivors near said P.D. We will follow the guidelines of an existing group’s mandate, unless it directly conflicts with the majority of survivors in the area. We recognize that conflicts will arise but hope that they can be resolved without the need to open fire upon one another. Signed: DHPD Command Staff.

July

July 29th

Things are looking good here in the hills as more and more buildings are staying barricaded. Currently Yea Drive PD and Broadbelt Grove PD are barricaded. Cotty Street PD is disputed but the DHPD is on that one, too.

July 15th

The DHPD have vowed to take back Dunell Hills and return the suburb to its prominence as the safehaven for survivors it once was.

July 12th

Catherine General Hospital and St. Justin's Hospital are in use as Survivor strongholds. Enter via Freerunning through Club Swain (1, 31). Small groups of 2-5 zombies in surrounding area. Cotty Street PD under heavy attack, in need of FAKs.

June 20th

looks like most of the place is under zed control.

May

May 29th

Yea Drive PD has been barracaded back up, 6 zeds outside, Most of the zed activity has died down since the Shining ones decided to attack giddings mall on the other side of town.

May 9th

A good part of the suburb is now overrun. Zombies have opened up and occupied many buildings along the Broadbelt PD corridor, up to Yea Drive PD. All survivors are strongly urged not to rest within the suburb limits unless absolutely necessary.

May 6th

Revives are slow but steady, becoming much more selective due to the unstable nature of certain revivees. Northern Dunell Hills has been maintained with relative regularity. A horde of about 100 zeds has been roaming the suburb concentrating mostly in the Southern and central parts of the suburb. The DHPD presence has made itself apparent and seems to be strongly thriving, though police stations are still a danger zone due to their highly targetted nature. Mysterious graffitti has appeared around buildings apparently attempting to direct and organize the undead. Though the danger has not yet past, the Dunell Hills area seems firmly in the hands of the survivors due to the efforts of the DHPD, MCDU of the DEM and other DEM members, the Inanimates, and multiple other volunteers.

May 5th

Revive appers to be impossible at the moment, From the looks of everything all of Dunell Hills has fallen into Zed hands. I've been looking around and have found No Surviving members of the DHPD, It also appers that all the police Stasions have been destroyed and ransacked.

April

April 14th

Due to the incessant presence of feral zombies in the suburb, Dunell Hills has gone into "lockdown" defensive posture. This policy involves most buildings being baricaded to Extremely Heavily while avoiding direct contact with the feral population. Survivors without free running are advised to evacuate the area as soon as possible, preferably to Owsleybank.

April 12th

Following the second seige of Caiger Mall and the outright admission of defeat on the part of the zombie hordes, a group called the Shining Ones, led by the zombie Warlord Xyu, stormed the once peaceful suburb, Crushing it and the mighty DHPD. Since that time, many ferals have stayed behind, turning the suburb into a full on a minature version of Ridleybank with all secured buildings becoming quickly cracked open and survivors killed or badly injured.
