East Becktown is a suburb of Malton, located in the west of the city. With a high number of hospitals and Necrotech buildings compared to most suburbs, it was an important hub for the scientific and medical community.

The multiple museums in the eastern half of the suburb lent itself to a rich artistic community, specialising in a wide variety of visual arts.

Twin pubs in the centre of the southern part of East Becktown served as a gathering place for workers and civilians alike. The Loney Row Police Department could often be seen relaxing at the Powe Arms, informally referred to as the "Police Arms" due to the high number of police seen there at any one time. The Stenhouse Arms, on the other hand, was often a place of friction due to the class divide spread throughout the suburb.

Interesting Locations

Hospital.png Barbara General Hospital is one of six hospitals located in East Becktown. It is located in the south of the suburb at [23,38], one block north-east of its sister hospital Edward General Hospital. Due to it being one block north-west of Loney Row Police Department, it is an important Tactical Resource Point, allowing both an entry point (when barricades are kept at VSB) and a source of First Aid Kits.

This displays a different interesting location in East Becktown every hour. The full list can be found here.

July 2016 - Caiger Mall has fallen and many survivors pulled back to the surrounding area, including East Becktown. The East Becktown Defenders provided FAKs, syringes and safehouses, before everything calmed down again. The Attwell Building has been reclaimed and now acts as an active Rot revive clinic.

June 2016 - A zerg horde has taken up residence in The Attwell Building. Local survivor efforts to evict him or work around him have proven to be unsuccesfull. All survivors are advised to stay away from the immediate area. The East Becktown Defenders pull back from the suburb and briefly cooperate with the DHPD and Knights Templar in the surrounding area.

May 2016 - The East Becktown Defenders are formed, to keep an eye on the suburb and keep things interesting. They quickly became friends with the DHPD and the Daubeney Resident Zambahz occupying the Daubeney facility.

April 2016 - The Military reports: "... streets are looking clear in East Becktown ... a lot of lights on, looks the area's been reclaimed ... infrastructure looks intact ... the Kening Building is being held ... the Daubeney Building is out of action ..."

March 2016 - Most of the infrastructure in East Becktown is intact, quite a few buildings are lit. The Sugg Building is operational. Notable exception is the Daubeney Building, where the Daubeney Resident Zambahz still maintain their open door policy.
