December 22nd

MALTON (AP) - Shortly after midnight local time, the barricades at St. Laurence's Hospital were defeated by zombies from MOB, surprising the sleeping survivors. They tore into the exhausted hospital staff, and fed some of them to the weaker "babah" zombies that were striking with them. To make matters worse, some of the additional 20 feral zombies in the area shambled in to participate in the carnage. An eerie pall fell upon the area, as lights went out. The ravenous horde, not satiated in it's blood-lust, broke into the factory to the south of the hospital. There, a wounded factory worker was dragged out and left as some sort of sick holiday offering to passing feral zombies.

In recent days, zombie hordes have been assaulting buildings in the vicinity, leaving a swath of death and destruction. Rumor has it that this is not isolated cross-border attack by MOB, and that this horde has decided to bring Edgecombe to Barhah, having trailed cade-strafers from Pegton back into this suburb. --FLZombie 04:40, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Despite not being the direct target of Big Bash 3, the suburb suffered serious collateral damage from the horde moving through the nearby suburb of Vinetown and Crowbank. The worst happened when zombies decide to shamble from Tollyton to Pitneybank, directly through it. Almost everything was destroyed and it was Very Dangerous. Now, the damage from last month's attack have been mostly repaired and the suburb is down to Moderately Dangerous. -- Kittithaj 10:19, 23 August 2010 (BST)

NecroWatch reported in from the Caffin Building today. A recent NecroNet scan revealed that there were 64 zombies within scanning range of the facility. Of these numbers, 16 zombies were at the the Maver Building, 6 zombies were at Club Noake, and 5 zombies were standing at the Digby Walk revive point. Meanwhile over in Pegton there were 4 zombies at Fowles Plaza Police Department and 3 zombies at St. Bruno's Church. The numerous remaining detected zombies, which were grouped in 1's and 2's, posed no serious threat to any other specific locations. --Mobius

The Militant Order of Barhah has admitted sending it's vanguard to perform exploratory attacks in southern Edgecombe. Elements from Bairn Ceatharn and The Barhahry Corsairs strike teams have raided a few buildings so far. It seems that the MOB has decided to send it's main force into the suburb, and leave it in ruins, as Crowbank was just left yesterday after a whithering week long onslaught. MOB is still feeding passing zombies and sharing their kills with unaffiliated zeds as well those from other groups. External Military Report: "... can see twenty or so on the streets of Edgecombe ... mostly just stragglers, no organised groups ... a lot of buildings with lights on ... can't see a single ruined building ... some survivor activity in the Maver Building ..." --Dr Cory Bjornson 01:33, 8 May 2008 (BST)

May 5th

The suburb is in good shape overall. A few members of The Dead can be found wandering around, and the Caffin NT has at least 6 zombies trying to get in, but really the suburb is quite safe...for now.--McSkullcracken 04:12, 6 May 2008 (BST)

A few Zombies walking the streets. Many buildings are destroyed but there are still a few safehouses. (Patti J - MPS)--Kiriwiki 03:54, 1 May 2008 (BST)

All resource buildings are in very good shape, and the largest group of zombies stands at ten, outside of the Tredaway building. Suburb's looking good to me.--FT MCI 18:04, 1 May 2008 (BST)

April

April 24th

  • whispers* Shhh...nobody tell the zombies...but I think this suburb MIGHT be on its way to recovery. NTs are repaired and barricaded, along with most other buildings. Even the number of zombies has gone down. Did the Headshots finally kick in?--McSkullcracken 04:26, 24 April 2008 (BST)

April 13th

This area is riddled with Zombies, there is hardly a block of this section that doesn't have Zombies in it. There are a few barricaded buildings still here but they will not last long with this menny zombies here. If you are in this area you must leave as quickly as possible or build a tank.

April 12th

Fiddlesticks, I knew I shouldn't have had a bit of optimism. The zombies are coming back into Edgecombe, I think the zombie group The Dead is back. And they have already taken out all three NTs and are starting on the Hospitals. Watch the barricades people.--McSkullcracken 03:29, 12 April 2008 (BST)

April 11th

St. Laurence Hospital is no more. However, the zombie horde has also scattered. --Lokanus 00:20, 11 April 2008 (BST)

April 10th

Zombie activity is on the increase. Break ins reported in Northern part of the Suburb. Advise all survivors to organize. --Lokanus 01:24, 10 April 2008 (BST)

April 6th

Hmm...it looks like there aren't as many zombies around here as there have been for the past month or so. Perhaps it is a little safer in Edgecombe now. Perhaps. --McSkullcracken 01:37, 6 April 2008 (BST)

March

March 14th

It would appear that Edgecombe is slowly recovering, but there are still a number of ruined buildings and plenty of zombies roaming the streets.--McSkullcracken 01:31, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

March 10th

Well...there really aren't many, if any, buildings left unruined. All the NTs are down, the only building I saw still standing was a hospital, and it was only Quite Strongly barricaded. Edgecombe is in zombie hands. Big Bash 2 accomplished their goal.--McSkullcracken 04:25, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

March 9th

The Second Big Bash has targeted Edgecombe. The horde is entering the suburb from the western border with Roftwood. --Brian McStay 04:52, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

March 3rd

Margaret General and Denis General are inhabited by survivors, barricades at heavily barricaded and very heavily barricaded respectively. Haven't checked Cape Avenue PD. Seculus 17:29, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

March 2nd

The burb has been hit hard. Two hospitals are ruined, Denis General and Margaret General. Cape Avenue Police Dept. is ruined, so I guess I can forget about that parking ticket now :). High zombie presence all over and it isn't even tourist season. --DCC 12:34, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

February

February 7th

Edgecombe's quiet period is over. The Browne and Maver NTs are under attack, with zombies inside both. Even the Club Somerton Clatworthy Arms area is under attack. The Club is ruined, the Arms now has a number of zombie patrons(who are NOT sharing the drinks with survivors and insist on playing Elvis songs on the juke). St. Deusdedit's hospital is under attack. There is now a much stronger zombie presence in this suburb than there was a month, even a week and a half ago.--McSkullcracken 02:43, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

February 3rd

The Browne Building NT and nearby Hardisty Auto Repair have both fallen to the recent influx of zombies from Roftwood. A bit of graffiti inside Browne NT said 'Join Extinction', leading me to speculate they may have something to do with the NT's current ruined condition. Only a one zombie inside and seven without. It could be retaken with some effort.--McSkullcracken 06:13, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

External Military reported: "... over a hundred in Edgecombe ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... a lot of buildings with lights on ... some minor structural damage ... the Caffin Building is operational ..." --Mobius187 17:42, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

January 22nd

The Maver Building NT is under attack, zombies have broken in. The two PDs next to it are ruined. That seems to be all thats troubling this lovely suburb.--McSkullcracken 04:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Update: NecroWatch reported from the Browne, Caffin, and Maver Buildings during which it revealed an estimated 85 zombies within scanning range of all three facilities. Of note, 14 zombies were detected at Stadling Walk PD, while another 5 more zombies were outside the Maver facility. There were fewer zombies in the "core" area of the suburb, with a majority having been scanned along the fringes with adjacent suburbs. --Mobius187 14:55, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

January 15th

The Clatworthy Arms has re-opened after a short hiatus due to a zombie infestation. Survivors are welcome to partake of the widely renowned Clatter's Best Ale and fresh hot Chaco Chicken served up daily by a courteous and heavily armed wait-staff. --Shazzelim 14:52, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

January 9th

With the situation calming down in Crowbank, it's been reported that additional strike teams have been spotted moving north to bring key installations back online. Situation in Edgecombe is about 50/50 with both sides holding their ground. --Flypsyde

January 8th

Chanter Alley PD and "a warehouse" are ruined with 4 zeds inside, both buildings near the Middle of Edgecombe. Roughly 10-12 zeds are in the general area surronding the two buildings, with serveral inside. Survivors near the middle should help clear and repiar them.

January 5th

St. Laurence's Hospital in the Northeast area of Edgecombe is ruined with 10 zombies inside. Those survivors in the Northeast area will want to clear it and repair it, and try to keep some of the strays from Fort Creedy lying on the ground rather than banging on barricades.--McSkullcracken 01:41, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

January 4th

There is a small group of 10+ beating on the Canther Alley PD. Nice survivor presence in both the PDs there, as well as WH and hospital. Was heavy concentration coming north from Crowbank. Trying to mass a force to go check out the situation in Fort Creedy. All available guns requested. 11:54 PM, Jan 4th Hemp

January 2nd

Zombies by the ones and twos appear to be shambling in from the East and Northeast due to the 2nd Big Bash and the current Siege on Fort Creedy(which from what I have heard is not going well for the survivors). No signs of any coordinated attack on Edgecombe. --McSkullcracken 00:49, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Overcading is rampant across Edgecombe, and several entry points have been found at EHB. Survivors within these designated entry points are requested to check on the barricades of their own block, and adjust the levels accordingly. ~AriedartinTalkA KS J abt all 06:11, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

December 16th

Upgraded the Danger level to Moderate, due to the numerous zombies in the Southern part of the Suburb. It has been odd with the overall lack of zombies recently though. Have they lost the heart to fight for Edgecombe? I know they always go on about needing Brainz, but perhaps their hearts have rotted too much to put forth a real effort.--McSkullcracken 02:56, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

December 3rd

Well it appears that the junkyard 1SE of the Caffin Building is now an Indoor Revive Point, so no barricading there. And last I saw the mobile phone mast in the warehouse(74,54) 1NE of St. Louis's Hospital needs a generator and fuel. Zed activity seems to be exclusively in the southern part of the suburb.--McSkullcracken 01:21, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

November 26th

St. Louis's Hospital, Chanter Alley PD, and the Caffin Building NT are all under attack by groups of less than 10 zombies, though Caffin has 2 inside. The rest of the suburb seems fine.--McSkullcracken 00:51, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

The Browne Building is now barricaded extremely heavily and has a functioning generator. Gather your needles while you may, there don't appear to be enough survivors to hold it for too long, though the zombie presence seems to have lessened somewhat.--McSkullcracken 02:01, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

October

October 27 The Militant Order of Barhah has ruined most of the buildings and all the resource buildings. Cade strafers are coming over from the mall but don't sleep here. Those foolish enough to sleep here are soon eaten. Zambah Rule is in effect. Barhah! -- Grogh 05:03, 27 October 2007 (BST)

October 26 After passing thought the 'burb, it's seeing some dark days. At least half the buildings are sacked. Upped to orange. --Pyrranha 19:54, 26 October 2007 (BST)

October 24 The Browne NT is down, along with MOST of Western and Northern Edgecombe facilities. Revive points are choked, rotters abound, and survivors are ... minimal. Attempts at establishing a defence are fruitless, and an assault by the unorganized number of groups would meet with disaster. Suggestion: Hide. Better Suggestion: Run the hell away. Best Suggestion: Dance naked in the streets, smothered in BBQ sauce and honey mustard and don't forget to ring the dinner bell.

August

August 31 Multiple members of the RRF Gore Corps recently seen in Edgecombe. A group of 4 to 6 of them are hiding out in the junkyard just south of the Mallack Museum in the southernmost part of the suburb. It would be wise of us to deal with them swiftly. Casero, 31 August 2007

August 24 Pardoe Square Fire Station has been busted into by zombies and there are now 4 inside + 2 dead bodies. Generator is still up and running, but likely not for long. It looks like Firefighter Ballz is headed to the nearest RP... --Ballz 0:55, 24 August 2007 (EST)

August 1 Both St Laurence's Hospital and St Louis's Hospital are overbarricaded with 3 zombies outside. Pavy Plaza Police Department is VSB with lights on but many injured holed up there with 6 zombies outside. --SyrDragon 15:15, 1 August 2007 (BST)

July

July 27 The First Annual Malton Running Man Competition concluded today and all competitors have gathered at the Clatworthy Arms for a celebration. All survivors are welcome to join! July 20 Edgecombe remains a dangerous place, with the center of town currently taking a heavy beating, focusing on Chanter and Pavy PD's with some hits against St. Laurence's and the Caffin NT. Cading/Healing desperately needed throughout the central area of town. Revive queues seem to be moving on schedule for now however.--Taedras77

July 12 A pker lud lum (276077) was seen inside Browne Building [71,51] Also I warn all survivers to check the profiles of the people in the same room as you and allways be careful.--Mastergurosp 23:19, 12 July 2007 (BST)

July 12 Zeds are flooding through the town in the aftermath of the the mall and Fort Creedy being overwhelmed. VSB buildings WILL NOT hold off the hordes that are prowling. Hospitals are a prime target, and sleeping in them, even just waiting to be healed in them actually, is almost suicide.

Zeds are roaming in groups of at least 2-3, with mobs of 10+ being common, and mobs of 20-30 not being unheard of. And be advised that these 'Zeds aren't your typical newbie 'Zeds. Almost all of them are decent level with Bodybuilding and Flak Jackets, so they can take some punishment.

As of today, Club Somerton has fallen. I assume the 'Arms has as well. The West side is taking the brunt of this assult, but they're slowly migrating north. Survivors are well-advised to stick together and only sleep in EHB buildings of little importance. Don't make yourselves targets in a high-profile Hospital. ECF members are working on reclaiming some hospitals/PDs, but it'll take some time, so hang in there. Stay safe, people. Any help from EEMS, Zone Defenders, or MDK would be more than welcome.--Echo 21:47, 12 July 2007 (BST)

July 9 The Mall in Roftwood was overrun and majority of survivors were killed (the rest fleeing). The 500+ zombies have started spreading out looking for more prey and have started flowing over into the West end of Edgecombe. Both hospitals have large zombie populations outside them having been overrun. Avoid the west side else you are likely to become the next victim. --Wke235 02:46, 9 July 2007 (BST)

July 6 All hospitals in the west are overrun. I'm infected with 46 hp, and down to 6 and still havn't found a safe place here. OrangeP47 01:18, 7 July 2007 (BST) 01:18, 7 July 2007 (BST)

June

June 28th Conditions continue to worsen. Hordes are targeting hospitals full of wounded survivors. Also, zombies have been using Infectious Bite to great effect, since the hospitals are tied up. Keep the buildings barricaded to the plan and clear the streets when possible. --Echo 22:35, 28 June 2007 (BST)

June 26th The conditions in edgecombe should be updated to at least 'very dangerous' as the streets are quite raw with the undead. Localized factions have done very well in securing strong holds but the hoards seem quite persistant in this region. Wicked Matt.

June 15th Someone has updated Edgecombe's status to green. I consider this news as it hasn't been that way in a very long time. Kiddy 16:53, 15 June 2007 (BST)

May

May 26th Observations have shown that the north east corner of Edgecombe has fewer than 20 zeds roming in groups no larger than 5, a suburb status update would be advised. --Jack13 09:39 05.26.07

May 18th Be advised that a pesky GKer, Betaguy, is currently at Moon Way (RP). He has destroyed Hildebrand Mall's NE generator at least 3 times, and won't stop until we stop killing him. He also knows that if he stops GKing, we'll stop killing him for it. However, if he starts to get away with it again, he'll might rejoin Red Rum, and take more than the lights away. I suggest you don't revive him. --User:Driaquer

May 11, 2007 There are a lot of buildings in the East and South broken into and completely empty. Attacks continue on the resource buildings and also for some reason other less important buildings have been targeted. We need to co-ordinate... Kiddy 12:25, 11 May 2007 (BST)

April

April 28, 2007 The suburb looks to be fairing better thanks to the numerous survivor groups operating in the area. Break ins are low and there are no sizable zombie hoards in the area which warrants a danger level of Moderate . Fade 13:06, 28 April 2007 (MST)

March

March 30, 2007 Not suggesting you go anywere near this suburb revive points are down and safehouses are far and few im dead right now and need revive after reviving 3 other zeds. Mobs everywhere so not suggested you stay in any building alone. Sailose, somewhere near the top of roftwood and needing revive.

March 28, 2007 I think Mook Walk RP might be shutting down. Almost all safe houses close by are busted open with no survivors around to rebuild them even if no zombies are around. Sorry guys for bailing on our safehouse, what starded as a low AP scouting trip became a one way trip when I found nothing at all even far away. I had thought only the surrounding houses were gone due to our location, not the whole suburb. Returning with 0 AP and waiting a day is not something I wanted to try, heh. If it makes you feel better, there's not a ton of zombie around, just no survivors barracading buildings up. If you decide to bail, have a bunch of AP and head E (S is no good) to get out of the area before finding a spot. Luck. Needlesareus 16:38 (UTC).

March 25, 2007 A number of people are working Moon Walk RP hard with all the overflow from the Hildebrand Mall battle. Please keep nearby VS entry buildings as marked on the barracade plan as VS. NecTecks need the close access to get rest after blowing 10AP a pop on revives, a longer walk can mean 3 revives a day instead of 4. Thanks for the revive Ironfast, got caught when someone barracaded my entry point after I left. Needlesareus, 08:05 (UTC)

March 18, 2007 Oldige way revive spot seems hot with reported attacks happening during revivals. It's recommended you work quickly and don't leave your screen unupdated for any long period of time. Good spot for EXP as zeds seems to be active and easy scanning EXP. Sleeping in nearby resource buildings is not recommended as zed population are causing breakins. Will try and continue to work this revive point. Needlesareus 04:20 (UTC)

Revives are going to be slow with all NT buildings down. Caffin and Mayer are toast, not sure about the Browne building NW side. Not a huge number of zombies but not many survivors either keeping buildings safe. Will have to go elsewhere for more needles. Needlesareus.
  • Browne Building is holding. Minor breakin, but holding well now. Revives are slow but coming in. Needles your rezed. Dr Ironfast

U.S. ARMY INFANTRY is seen stepping up local operations

Dec 11th, 2006 We have phone service, have you grabbed a mobile phone from a Mall's Tech Store yet? A perfect stocking stuffer and phase 2 of EEMS's goal of community connectivity. Edge's inner core is being hotly contested as it's outer perimeter is built up in it's stead. U.S. ARMY INFANTRY is seen increasing operations as local survivor presence intensifies, can it be said that the ill effects of the Big Bash passing through months ago have finally dissipated?

December 5th, 2006 New barricade policy is unleashed for Edge to deal with growing population of active zombies, previous MFD maintained NE Wall BP is considered a success & expanded upon while uniform policy is applied to junkyards (VSB) & warehouses (EHB). Core is cracking nightly as survivors seek shelter somewhere else to sleep, mostly along the NE Wall. New BP is drafted with EEMS, MFD, ECF, CDF & US Infantry support.

November

November 29, 2006 - As Fort Creedy becomes an more attractive blip on the map, it draws survivors and zombies throughout Malton towards its untold fortunes...untold because its gatehouse is currently at EHB and not letting anyone in. As a result players have had to spread out from Creedy to either find an alternative safe haven or more accessible snacks. Welcome to Edgecombe, we will not be a more accessible snack. --Kiddy 21:18, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
