Description

The Drunk Suite OR: surgical removal of hangovers is our speciality!

Once a high-tech medical facility, the only 'cutting edge' still found at 'Teddy's' are knives and axes. The imposing structure has fallen into disrepair, and the operating theatres are more like a chamber of horrors.

History

Situated on the southern side of 'The Great Peddlesden Divide', Edmund General - widely known as Teddy's - was conveniently located for dealing with industrial accidents from Peddlesden's notorious factory district to the north, as well as the equally notorious (but for rather different reasons) clubbing and drinking district in the south. As such, Teddy's patients were a motley collection of mutilated blue collar workers, and pashed office drones who'd been on the razzle and needed emergency medical attention for alcohol poisoning.

In the golden years of the hospital (the mid-70s), top young surgeons were attracted to the area by the promise of challenging surgeries, such as Dr Stitchem's 24-hour-long piecing-together of three near-dead workmen into two fully functioning ones (with the unusable spare limbs donated to the residents for practice), and Dr Kilmov's ground-breaking procedure whereby portions of drunken secretaries' well-pickled internal organs were used to repair those of industrial disembowelling victims.

These skills meant that the hospital staff were well-placed to treat victims of zombie apocalypse-related disorders of mind and body, but sadly most of the best medical staff had either left the polluted, rather dull environs of the Village before the outbreak even began, seeking more lucrative employment elsewhere, or fell victim to the new, more aggressive type of patient within days.

Barricade Policy

The suburb's barrricade plan indicates that the hospital should be kept VSB.

Current Status

Edmund General Hospital is one of several buildings that is maintained specifically by the DHPD and other friends. As the only hospital in Peddlesden Village, all survivors in the area strive to keep it well protected, accessible, and powered. If you are in need of a heal, stop by. If you're not healed within about half an hour, request a heal from those inside the building.

  • EDU would like to invite anyone interested in maintaining this Hospital into our Group. If you're interested please register with MHG and visit our Forum. [1]JokimotoM.E.R.C.Y. EDU T
