Description

This is a factory located in the suburb of Pescodside alongside the border with Dulston to the north. In 1928 the factory began with humble beginning as a small paper mill started by Captain Henry A. Malton and the British Wood Pulp & Paper Company. Drawn by the reliable water supply from a local river and the easy access to the city's trains, built a small plant that produced wood-fiber pulp. The factory changed hands several times until the Malton Forest Products Corporation bought it in 1951 as part in a series of sudden take-over purchases throughout Malton's pulp and paper industry. In 1988, the Malton Forest Products Corporation entered into a partnership with Oji Paper of Japan. The pulp mill was completely rebuilt, newsprint production was added, and the factory was transformed into one of the most modern mills in Malton.

After the "Malton Incident" survivors have used the rolls of paper found in the mill's storage rooms for a range of different purposes, such as amateur newspapers for Malton's survivors or paper airplanes for those with simpler hobbies.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, was reported to have been a few times entering or leaving the paper mill during his earlier days working in Pescodside. Back in those days he was only a 2nd-class lab technician and was often sent on supply runs to the factory in order to restock the Waish Building's supply of printer paper. After all, one could hardly expect a delivery to arrive on its own.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Pescodside Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups and the Dulston Alliance, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any member of the Dulston Alliance or a vigilante-minded survivor who catches the culprit in the act. If this happens the accused survivor must present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly. So always be cautious lest you find yourself summarily executed for crimes against humanity.
