Description

This is a factory located in the suburb of Dulston which belongs to the VAN NELLE textile company. Once one of the largest textile manufacturers in Dulston, the building cloaked in dust and shadows while rows of massive machinery sit in silence. Older residents of Dulston still talk of the days before the "Malton Incident" when factories such as these were the driving power behind the suburb's successful business industry. Of course these days there is hardly a market for textiles.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, once visited the factory in order to survey it and take stock of the quantity of portable generator and fuel cans stored here for the Electric Light Torchestra, a member group of the Dulston Alliance. While Caleb is not a member of ELT he is always willing to go that extra mile to help his follow survivor, especially those groups whose main goal is to help the entire suburb as it's the case with the ELT.

This location has been designated as Waypoint 2 of The Devils Promenade

Barricade Policy

This building must never be more than Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. This barricade level has been set forth in the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram, a strategic barricade policy that is enforced by all member groups of the Dulston Alliance. This building's purpose is to serve as an access point for all survivors and a safehouse for inexperienced survivors who do not possess the Free Running skill. Visitors are requested to never barricade beyond Very Strongly unless the building is currently under siege from 5 or more zombies. Note that any survivors associated with the Dulston Alliance have the right to lower the barricades back to Very Strongly if they discover them raised higher without just cause.

Current Events

October 1st, 2009 - The D.I.T.P.S reported that the factory barricades were down and that 4 zombies were inside. However there were no survivors inside either. --Mobius

January 2nd, 2009 - While it's unclear as to how long the factory was in zombie hands, what Dulston Alliance recon has been determined is that the factory is back under survivor control as of now. The factory is barricaded and powered.

December 22nd, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S recon has reported that the factory has been overrun and ruined.

December 18th, 2008 - Despite Tony's efforts, the factory is once again powered. The building is also Extremely Heavily barricaded.

December 17th, 2008 - Tony Loop was accused of destroying the building's portable generator. The reason? Space madness no doubt. A man named "Tony LOOP" probably was meant for nothing but madness. Sheer and unrelenting madness. Regardless, he's to be considered a wanted fugitive.

December 16th, 2008 - AttackDestroyDie of FOXHOUND reported that the building was barricaded and powered. The Dulston Alliance: Making things happen... good things to be specific, but it was inferred.

December 15th, 2008 - Healer computer2slow, of the D.I.T.P.S, reported that the factory is Extremely Heavily barricaded. No signs of any immediate threats to the building at this time.

December 13th, 2008 - Dead vs Blue recon reported that the building was ruined, but empty.

November 29th, 2008 - Metal Fox recon reported that the building was barricaded and under survivor control. No word on whether the factory was lit or not.

November 10th, 2008 - The Electric Light Torchestra reported that the building was secured and powered... one of the very few building in Dulston with power at this time due to the Militant Order of Barhah's invasion.

October 11th, 2008 - SNAKEHOUND reported that the factory was now up and Heavily barricaded.

October 8th, 2008 - FOXHOUND recon reported that the factory is still ruined.

October 7th, 2008 - The factory was overrun with 3 zombies inside and another 7 more zombies outside.

September 29th, 2008 - PsychoLychee, co-leader of The Electric Light Torchestra, reported, "Lights go on and on and on ... *hooks up the Nott factory* I'm sure this will provoke a break-in, but at least it draws them away from Anne General Hospital. Grab them gennies while they're hot. And fuel of course. Or just a length of pipe."

September 27th, 2008 - The factory was reported to have fallen. On the flip side, Kittithaj reported that he had disposed of the 2 corpses inside and barricaded the building to Lightly. There was still 1 poor zombie inside.

September 7th, 2008 - Metal Fox recon reported that the factory was ruined. The cause? No doubt the zombie horde, the Militant Order of Barhah, had claimed it as one of its victims.

May 30th, 2008 - The building looks safe for now its EHB and powered but i dont know the situation outside. --Firefighter00789 02:16, 30 May 2008 (BST)

May 9th, 2008 - Members of the VZW successfully completed the second leg of the Devil's Promenade Challenge today. --Shazzelim 17:55, 12 May 2008 (BST)

August 10th, 2007 - The factory has apparently been visited by the ghostly apparition, or more likely a zombified verson, of Steve Irwin sometime after his death.

April 17th, 2006 - The Shamblin' Crooners made their usual grand entrance and entertained everyone inside with their famous "break-in & concert" style of zombie rock. Some humans were eaten. Some zombies were shot. Bottom line, everyone had fun. Rock on Crooners, rock on...
