Several buildings repaired and lighted, including Thomas General Hospital and Burdekin Alley PD. And a bank, of all things. Lots of lone zombies hanging around and some ruined buildings, but no hordes. Suburb can probably be considered Dangerous or Moderately Dangerous.--Ghills 14:03, 22 September 2010 (BST)

August 8th

Security for Survivors

It has often been argued that Galbraith Hills has never been particularly safe, due to its proximity to Barrville & Ridleybank, and its relative lack of resources. The current risk level reflects the persistant break-ins in resource buildings, as well as the relatively small survivor population. Thinking of visiting Galbraith Hills? Here are some tips for survival (brought to you by the GHDU: Fitter, happier, more productive.):

  • Always carry two First Aid Kit's, a Fire Axe, and a Toolbox in case resource buildings are ransacked.
  • Never camp in resource buildings when basic EHB buildings are nearby.
  • Buy Free Running as soon as possible to allow camping in EH buildings.
  • If you attacked, scanned or failed to revive a zombie without killing it, please try to camp alone in case the zombie has scent trail and follows you to your Safe House. This way, it will only find you, and not a whole building full of survivors.

Security for Zombies

Galbraith Hills is a great place to feast because of its lack of resource buildings, and low population. Zombies are doing a fantastic job of breaking into and holding resource buildings, and keeping the danger level blood red. Here are some tips for zombies:

  • Always sleep inside buildings.
  • Try to sleep inside Resource Buildings, especially NT Buildings.(Survivors may revive you because of NT buildings are a revive point)
  • You can find survivors that you have had contact with if you have the Scent Trail skill, by following them back to their Safe House.
  • Follow feeding groans as they are emitted by other zombies when they have found humans. Gathering at the sites from which the groans originate can often get you a free lunch.

AquaBarricade.jpg
Barricade Plan

Survivors have made a Barricade plan for Galbraith Hills. Feedback is welcome; we will do our best to accommodate reasonable suggestions.

In recent days, due to the increasing and encroaching danger to the north, the barricade plan is being followed loosely at best. Several designated VSB locations have been extremely heavily barricaded, leaving even experienced players among the zombies on the street.

Zombies have been doing an excellent job of keeping Galbraith Hills barricade free, and so have complied with the "NO CADES" suggested barricade plan for zombies.
