Good golly Moses! With 10 occupied buildings, 27 intact & unoccupied buildings, and 5 unscouted buildings, Gatcombeton is actually NOT a ghost town! -- Jen T | SFHNAS | PK 02:51, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

Gatcometon is safe it seems the zeds aren't really active in this part of town. As of right now I know one Police department is EHB and one hospital is EHB. Calvert Mall is EHB and powered with radio transmitters in every corner. The upper left corner has christmas decorations up. I think you can find everything a survivor could want here except I don't know about the phone mast. --Radio 06:36, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Out of nowhere, The Dead have descended on Gatcombeton. No warning whatsoever for survivors, many had no time to escape and were trapped in the fall of the Calvert Mall. Situation is fluid as of this time with no other real reports of damage, but it's at least a bit dangerous out there. If you know what's going on elsewhere, give us a better picture. As of now, moderately dangerous, but it's possible things are worse than that.

Everything in Gatcombeton is pretty much ruined. Maybe one or two survivors running about and hordes, never more than five or six, loiter. The Mall has been ruined and has a handful of zombies. From what I've seen only two hospitals open, niether with power.--Ralain 03:00, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

September

September 24th

At least 27 zombies on the streets, 14 at the mall. Breakdown of the Tactical Resource Points:

  • Calvert Mall (southern half): without power.
  • 2 Police depts: without power.
  • 4 hospitals: 1 ruined, 3 without power.
  • 2 auto repairs: without power.

Given the low level or ruination, and low zombie numbers, this seems Moderate (verging on Dangerous due to the low power levels). --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 20:15, 24 September 2008 (BST)

Many of the buildings in town are now barricaded. Zombies are still present, but seem more interested in passing through the zone to Jesentown and Judgewood (active NT's there) or to the North and Calvert Mall looking for meals. But they will stop to take advantage of people in the open or weak cades. So, suburb Status changed from Ghost Town to Dangerous level. --Wke235 11:40, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Calvert Mall fell to hordes of zombies. A concentrated attack broke through the NE corner of the mall on February 22nd. A secondary attack moved to the SE corner and also broke through when some brains tried to rally in the NE corner. By 8:00 on the 23rd, the mall was once more emptied of all survivors and all areas ruined. Teams of survivors are attempting to organize at nearby spots such as NT's in Quarlesbank. But heavy zombie attacks continue to breach those barricades as well. Unsure of where there is any safe spot to try and rally in this zone. Perhaps to the Marfell NT over in Shuttlebank, to get revived and make a charge back to the mall? --Wke235 04:57, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Latest external military report confirms the situation on the ground in the thirteenth suburb is little changed: "... can see maybe fifty on the streets of Gatcombeton ... mostly just small groups ... can't see any signs of life ... heavy structural damage ... Calvert Mall has fallen ..." --WanYao 12:41, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

December 21st

Probably due to the presence of Calvert Mall in the northern half of the suburb, as well as its proximity to the hotspots of Darvall Heights and Eastonwood, there are somewhat more zombies in Gatcombeton than other suburbs of the NW: about 50 standing, and no large groups... All resource buildings (including Calvert Mall) are open and there are almost no signs of survivors. Although Gatcombeton could be classified as yet another Northwestern ghost town, something should be noted: spread out across the borders of the NW suburbs -- yet often within feeding groan distance of each other -- there are large numbers of active zombies. If these zombies were to congregate, they would present a formidable mob... --WanYao 21:14, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

December 13th

Most of the suburb is ruined, including many (but not all) resource buildings. Calvert Mall has fallen and there are currently 66 standing zombies immediately inside and out of the shopping centre (Gatcombeton and Quarlesbanks halves combined). In total I counted over a hundred standing zombies, including Mrh? cows within the borders of Gatcombeton. Danger level adjusted to Very Dangerous. Extensive Iwitness are available to confirm this report if need be. --WanYao 17:29, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

November 23rd

Gatcombeton is the 13th suburb, and if you're a survivor not a lucky place to be right now. Almost the entire suburb is ruined including Calvert Mall. I counted about 70 zombies in the streets of suburb (that would include a dozen Mrh? cows at Lurch Road, the only marked revive point). They were spread out, no large groups, and the interior of the buildings I checked were usually either empty or occupied by one, maybe two, zombies. Very nearly a Ghost Town, definately Very Dangerous. --WanYao 05:33, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

September 11th

Zombie presence in Gatcombeton is quite light: only 40 or so were seen on the street. They were widely dispersed, and I believe the largest single group was five, at a revive point. A few buildings, including roughly half the TRPs in the suburb have been barricaded, but the vast majority remained ruined. One section of Calvert Mall was loosely 'caded, but only a handful of zombies were hanging around. Although there are some signs of minor survivor activity, I'd still have to say Gatcombeton is currently a Ghost Town. --WanYao 17:22, 11 September 2007 (BST)

The Malton Police Department's valiant attempt to retake Calvert Mall has collapsed and they are now in full retreat after Extinction forces smashed through their defenses earlier today. Boorman Way PD has also been destroyed as has much of Shuttlebank caught between Extinction assaults and the LUE juggernaut that has just rolled through. In the south Crossman Grove PD is destroyed and refugees from both Darvall Heights and Gatcombeton are caught in no man's land. This suburb and everything north of it is extremely dangerous and all residents are advised to seek shelter elsewhere. --Zeug 09:42, 15 August 2007 (BST)

August 10th

Northern Gatcombeton remains very dangerous as Extinction retains its hold on Calvert Mall regularly clearing it of the rapidly dwindling survivor resistance. Boorman Way PD and its free runs are receiving support from nearby Shuttlebank although break ins are a common occurrence. Western Gatcombeton is a wasteland since Judgewood fell to Extinction while the southern region is under stress with Crossman Grove PD in Darvall Heights on the southern border under constant attack by the Caiger Resistance Front. --Zeug 10:45, 10 August 2007 (BST)

Impromptu performances are however scheduled for Boorman Way Police Dept and negotiations are underway for a tour troupe premiere at Crossman Grove Police Dept in Darvall Heights on the towns southern border. For ticketing enquiries please contact the Extinction Theatrical Society. --Zeug 07:27, 30 July 2007 (BST)

July 28th

Having read the luke warm reviews for the Drama Club's recent performance of "Apocalypse Now" Extinction zombies have taken up residence in the southern half of Calvert Mall determined to demonstrate what REAL method acting can do with such a meaty script. Featuring stellar performances from rookie zombie Cloud6272 in the star role of Cpt Willard, Dr'Brainz as Colonel Kurtz and the ever popular Donny Waters as Lt "I love the smell of brains in the morning" Kilgore the performance emphasizes full audience participation to achieve maximum theatrical effect. Judging from the screams and the massed chants of "Mrh? Mrh?" the show is already a not-to-be-missed smash hit and the producers have committed to an extended season. BYO brains and ammo - morning, noon, afternoon and evening sessions daily. --Zeug 08:55, 28 July 2007 (BST)

Zombies moved on to other locations seeking prey, or were revived by fast moving techs reducing the groups. Small groups still here and there floating about in the suburb, but barricades are back to normal. --Wke235 18:07, 7 July 2007 (BST)

July 1st

Panicked St. Cyprian's Hospital survivors have put up heavy barricades, trapping many hungry zeds in the hospital with them. The zeds have responded by ignoring the barricades and slaying the living. 2 survivors still standing in the hospital, both wounded, others have fled or been killed. --Wke235 12:33, 2 July 2007 (BST)

June 30th

Barriers at St. Cyprian's Hospital have fallen. Zombies roaming the halls have destroyed the generator and radio. Many dead, only 5 survivors still standing, others have fled. All hope is lost...

June 24th

There are 10 zeds that have been waiting for days to get revived at Luch Road. Please, someone help us!

June 21st

The Crimson Clan is now moving into Calvert Mall. The Clan is a survivor group of over 40 players, and is here to regroup, recruit, and help other survivors present in the area.

June 2nd

The town is mostly free of all Human and Zeds. It looks likes St Maximillian's Church has a few living hiding out, so zeds help me get some brains! --Foxxx222--Foxxx222 02:26, 3 June 2007 (BST)

March

March 22nd

Luch Road revives are picking up speed, which is good news for all the zombies there. At least there is more than one revive in the last twenty-four hours. --Chesh Smalin 19:07, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

March 21st

Only operable Revive point is at Luch Road and the revives are coming very slowly. There are around 30 Zombies waiting for revive there. --Chesh Smalin 16:22, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

March 13th

With the fall of Yagoton, many survivors fleeing the area have made mention that they plan to fall back to Calvert Mall, as it is the nearest supply cache with power. Just giving a heads up to expect some traffic soon. --Gasbandit(Talk | GoYRC) 21:09, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

March 8th

Headshotted again, but this time I wasn't at Luch Road and it was my own fault. I then shambled back to Luch Road. A few hours later, Lezick killed a standing zombie at the revive point. This is the second documented instance where I've seen Lezick blowing away zombies at the revive point. A few revives were noted, so there's no question that at least some survivors have a frigging clue and aren't using us as target practice. -- Aint Got Time 2Bleed

March 6th

Headshotted again at Luch Road. This time, culprit was Zoom123. He killed one other zed, then me. Let's see how many times I can get headshotted at Luch Road in a single day. At 9:14 AM, I've been killed just once. -- Aint Got Time 2Bleed

  • I logged in again to see what's cooking at the Luch Road "revive" point (aka the Gatcombeton Shooting Gallery). Let's see, DRNightshift killed one zombie at the RP, and whacked at me 5 times with his fireaxe. Then aurali came by and shot me 4 times with his pistol before buggering off. The only actual "revive" I have observed was from Cyborg55. I also want to thank whomever spray painted the revive point with "REVIVE POINT - DO NOT KILL ZEDS HERE" -- obviously idiots like the ones noted here are not paying attention. I could easily move elsewhere and get a revive, but I want to stay here and make a point. You survivors are always wondering why the Malls get sacked so easily? Well, when your entire suburb has only 1 designated revive point, and the survivors are so stupid they can't even be bothered to obey signs and wiki sites advising them not to shoot zeds standing in line for a revive, is it any mystery why you can't repel an organized zombie horde? How is Calvert Mall supposed to withstand even a small horde of 12+ zeds if people can't even get a revive without being popped in the head every hour?? -- Aint Got Time 2Bleed

March 5th

Is Luch Road still an active revive point? If so, why are so many people shooting zeds standing there? If not, then we should edit this wiki site and tell people to go somewhere else for a revive. I am just amazed at how many times me and other people waiting for revives at Luch Road get headshotted. Nowhere else in Malton do I see such active hunting of zombies at a designated revive point. Which is why I ask the basic question of whether this is even a revive point at all. If it is an RP, then recommend that people regularly spray paint it as such. -- Aint Got Time 2Bleed

I logged in again a few hours later. Grant Patton just whacked a zed at the supposed revive point. What gives? -- Aint Got Time 2Bleed
Another Luch Road update. Shakgriig killed a zombie at Luch Road "revive point." Blumbert killed 2 zombies, and Lezick attacked me for about 26 damage while standing at Luch Road. At this point Luch Road more of a target practice range than a "revive point." -- Aint Got Time 2Bleed

January

January 17th

The Grove on tour arrived in town on Monday and have been enjoying partying in a local PD. Now the mall is back up and running they intend to stock up before moving onto the next suburb. --MarieThe Grove on Tour 16:14, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

January 4th

Can survivors please stop headshotting zombies waiting for revives at Luch Road? This is easily the 3rd or 4th time I've been headshotted at Luch Road in the past two weeks. I can understand if I had brain rot, but I don't. And the people are shooting before they even scan me. Always scan before you blast a zed on a revive spot, and ALWAYS scan before you revive. Also remember not to revive PKing and GKing folks like members of the Philosophe Knights. -- Aint Got Time 2Bleed 11:45 AM (EST)

July

July 28th

St. Cyprian's Hospital was broken into today, humans being killed during this broadcast. There are 30+ zombies patiently waiting at Luch Rd to be revived. They've been waiting for days. The cemeteries also house the suffering. Northwest Gatcombeton needs help.

July 27th

The Lamport Walk Police department suffered a moderate break-in and approximately five humans were killed. The general concensus seemed to be to flee the building and attempt to reclaim after establishing temporary, new safe houses.

July 25th

Gatcombeton, one of the last green (safe) blocks on the map, went yellow yesterday-- soon to be orange (dangerous) because mini-gangs are forming right now in the northeast.

July 11th

(Bubacxo Update: Pinchin Plaza is Unmanned. (I got shot there too.) Spray there said that the revive point is at Luch Road (22, 12). Spray there coincides, saying "Revive Point. Don't Shoot, Don't Lose Hope." 19:41, 11 July 2006 (BST)

Further Update -- People either can't read, or are methodically wiping out the revive points. 'cause it still says "DON'T SHOOT..." and yet I see EVERY TIME I GO BACK there that it's SHOT UP! 09:38, 14 July 2006 (BST)

May

May 17th

The Malton Red Berzerk Militia Brigade has started to organize itself. Local street gangs have put aside their differences and now they shoot zombies instead of each other!

May 16th

The RRF has decided to move on, so now is the time to rebuild this beautifull suburb! Thanks to the help of other DEM officers and the local survivors, Insp. Spurlock assumes that things will be back to normal near the end of the week.

January

Early January

In early January, there were the beginnings of an incursion from After The Flesh (ATF), infiltrating some of the buildings nearby Calvert Mall, but these signs appear to have died down.

The MPD warns you that the RRF has decided to level Calvert Mall. Survivors are advised to leave the mall as quick and orderly as possible. Gatcombeton is in aproar, buildings are beeing destroyed by the partying zombies. If you feel the ground shacking because the line-dancing hoardes, do not stand your ground! I invite all survivor groups to come to the DEM-forums to organize our defense.

The London Underground have marked Pinchin Plaza (24,14) as a Revivification point and will try to maintain it.
