Basic Info:

  • Excellent place to find first aid kits. Zombies frequently check inside.
  • Portable Generators have a use other than powering the lights and increasing search probability in hospitals. Players with the Surgery Skill can heal for 15 HP if the Hospital has a fueled up Generator.
  • Hospitals can be barricaded normally.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in Hospitals:
    • "...its wards and corridors blackened with the soot of a recent fire"
    • "...its empty wards criss-crossed with snapped quarantine tape."
    • "...one of the city's psychiatric hospitals."
    • "...dark corridors leading through abandoned wards."
    • "...its emergency room in disarray."
    • "...its lobby covered with quarantine posters."
    • "...a children's hospital with bright murals across the walls. "
    • "The main lobby is riddled with bullet holes."
    • "It was one of the last to be evacuated, and seems to have been cleared out in a hurry."
    • "...a derelict hospital that was closed down years ago."

Malton Hospitals

Gelasius General Hospital is one of two hospitals located within the Fryerbank section of DK13's KG50 zone.

Mandate

In the aftermath of the quarantine, trained members of DK13 work alongside civilian survivors in residence at St. Seraphim's Hospital and continue to:

  • Cure the infected.
  • Provide further medical assistance to anyone and everyone who enters.
  • Keep its doors open to lower level survivors AT ALL TIMES.

While members of DK13 will always strive to provide both a working generator and a constant supply of fuel, we ask that civilian survivors in residence please note whether or not there is a portable generator within the hospital, and whether it has fuel or not.

As a working portable generator is required for the Surgery skill we request civilian survivors in residence to provide secondary support by either replacing the generator when destroyed, or refilling its fuel supply when it is exhausted. This in turn will allow any medical staff, DK13 or civilian, to provide more efficient aid to the injured.

Barricade Policy

This building must never be more than, or less than, Very Strongly Plus Two (VS+2) barricaded.

TURF PAINT 004: INTERNAL TYPE: WWW.SEQA.TK/VS+2 Only!

DO NOT OVERBARRICADE ... OVERBARRICADING KILLS!!!
