Description

Maltonfdsymbol2.jpg

Headland Street Fire Station is a fire station located in the suburb of Pescodside. The fire station was opened back in 1912, and after over 9 decades of faithful service it has since seen better days. Originally opened as part of a new initiative that involved several fire stations, the Headland Street Fire Station was part of a city plan to stem the higher-than-average rate of fires plaguing Pescodside, and, indeed, Greater Malton. When the new Ludwell Lane Fire Station was opened in 2005 it was meant to be a replacement for the aging Headland Street Fire Station, which had been slated for retirement for several years already. Of course the station's closure was abruptly postponed due to the "Malton Incident". Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, was quoted as once having said, "Five fire stations? If only Malton were swarming with fires, not zombies, then Pescodside would have been one of the safest suburbs."

The Malton Fire Department has claimed Headland Street Fire Station. Notices posted in the old fire station state that local operations are under the command of Fire Marshall Archangel Michael.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the barricade plan set forth by the Burchell Arms Regulars as well as the mutually agreed-upon Pescodside Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups and the Dulston Alliance, all of whom routinely monitor the barricade level for this building. This building is meant to serve as a shelter for Malton's inexperienced survivors and entry point into other nearby fortified buildings.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found raising or lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any member of the B.A.R. present at that time. If this happens the accused survivor is required to present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly.

Survivors are reminded that should any member of the B.A.R find the barricades raised higher that Very Strongly without any apparent danger to the building or area they have the authority to lower the barricades back down to Very Strongly in order to restore access to the building from the outside.

It should be noted that, as the fire station, this building is under the management of the Malton Fire Department and therefore its barricade policy can be reset by them as the need arises. Hopefully this should not be in conflict with B.A.R policy.

Current Events

December 13th, 2008 - Three years later... the Burchell Arms Regulars reported that the fire station was Very Strongly barricaded and in survivor hands. At this time the building is unpowered and without a radio transmitter.

December 12th, 2005 - The fire station has been cleaned up as best as possible, considering that the city was about to be shut it down, and barricaded by the Malton Fire Department.
