Basic Info:

  • Train station. No trains are running.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in Railway Stations:
    • "Its platforms are empty, its departure boards blank, all trains having left the city during the evacuation."
    • "…a fire-damaged white-stone building surrounded by lawns. Behind railings, you can see railway tracks disappearing into the surrounding city."
  • This building can be barricaded normally.

Hemborrow Lane Railway Station, alongside adjacent Crosbie Grove Railway Station, served as a junction of the Fuchsia and Yellow Lines before the outbreak. Hemborrow Lane was built above the Yellow Line platforms.

This empty railroad station was once a part of the city's now extinct Malton Rail system.

Description

Humans and zombies alike will see the following (permanent) description when standing outside the building:

"You are standing outside Hemborrow Lane Railway Station, a fire-damaged yellow-stone building with boarded-up windows. Behind railings, you can see railway tracks disappearing into the surrounding city."

Such a description is always followed by a report of the building's condition (e.g. the level of its barricades), but since that report is never permanent and always subject to change, it is redundant to include it here as well.

History

  • January 4th, 2008: The Stronghold is now secured at EHB with he adjacent high school acting as the main entry point. Graffiti warnings have been repainted where they have been erased.

2008 started in style with another 5 survivors to kill (Yes Cabbell Lane school, we mean you!), so this year should prove to be a good year for PK'ing :)

  • December 28th, 2007: After a few days of subtle, then very direct threats, graffiti messages and warning shots Hit That decided that he had had enough and went in all guns blazing, killing all three squatters and dumping them outside
  • December 23rd, 2007: The semi-zombified members of AMCS return from the successful Silent Night Slaughter, only to find that another bunch of infernal survivors had returned and were 'squatting'.
  • December 8th, 2007: This Low lying Railway station was chosen to be the base of operations for the AMCS Group. However, once the AMCS rocked up to the newly named "stronghold" they found it was infested with survivors. An undisclosed number of members set about clearing the Building itself and the surrounding buildings to the North and West as well as 'cading the place.

Barricade Policy

The building should be kept at EHB (= Extremely Heavily Barricaded).

Current Status

Graffiti says it all... Keep out. Or you WILL be killed.
