Higgin Square Fire Station

Description

An average sized, old fashioned, damp, dirty, dis-used building that you wouldn't have let your kids near before the outbreak. You definatly wouldn't let near them near it now. There is a 1920's style fire engine stature in the centre of the car park which acts as a memorial to those that died in the 1523 Fire of Judgewood, many of those that perished were buried in Cemetery 11,13 to the North West of the fire station, or within the grounds of St. Arnold's Church (Judgewood)

History

Although of very little use to survivors now due to it's lack of resource buildings, Judgewood used to be the main trading area in Malton. The health and safety of the general populace was maintained by Higgin Square Fire Station through a series of outreach programmes. Nowadays the Fire Station is largely un-used. There has never been a large scale seige of the Station, nor has it ever been involved as a rally point or equivilant. Due to this lack of use the Station, known to locals as "Higgy Suare" is deserted, except when used as a resting ground for drunkards leaving either The Boylin Arms (4/5), The Organ Arms (4/5) or The Farnol Arms (3.5/5). N.B all pub ratings are from the independant and non-commercially tied 5punk club- writers and publishers of The Malton Good Beer Guide 2008.

Barricade Policy

According to the Judgewood Barricade Plan, the Higgin Square Fire Station should be kept at VSB. However, due to its distance from any resource builing this is often left unchecked.

Current Status

Unknown, although very little survivor activity in the area. See The MacCarthy Building for more up to date reports about the area.
