Description
The stripped out remains of cars lie scattered, some piled in precarious stacks, some half-buried under the piles of mechanical debris that grows, fungal, across the oil-stained ground of the junk-yard.
The junk-yard was abandoned long before the outbreak, the owner -an old cripple- died lonely, and none of his estranged and fashionable grandchildren wanted to take the sum-total of his possessions.
Overgrown by bright green grass and brambles, a modest caravan squats, containing the dusty and decaying last possessions of an old cripple. A rusting jar, containing the remains of pickles, a few dry and dusty drawings, a small bed, a bucket that was once used to collect water, a single book.
