It is widely recognised that all junkyards in Malton have already been cut open. Searching junkyards will yield a wide variety of different items, including crowbars, mobile phones, flak jackets, fire axes, pistol clips, shotgun shells, spraycans and fuel cans, mixed in with the far less desirable baseball bats, books, knives, pipes and newspapers. Junkyards can be barricaded, but have no doors to shut.

Description

Malton boasts the country's largest collection of junkyards per capita. However this junkyard in Gatcombeton, just north of the Eatwell Walk Fire station, is unusually clean. The piles of cast-off refuse is sorted into rows ordered by both size and color. The hauling equipment used to select and carry the scrape looks clean and modern. Although clearly belonging to mid-century architecture, the junkyard office building is in prime condition.
