Barrville was one of the first suburbs to fall, unsurprising as it was so close to Ridleybank. A small horde broke through the police barricades and fell upon Floyde Stadium during a football game. After feasting on, and thus turning, the large crowds, the horde was one of the largest in the city at the time. This meant the Barrville very quickly became a dangerous area, with police declaring it a no-man's-land very early on. The Reginaldus Plaza Fire Station was the site of one of the largest of the many last stands; 7 firefighters and some 10 citizens, led by James November, held until almost a month after the outbreak.
