That was one hell of a Halloween party. I mean, the 5th of November was the 5th of November, but it was... less impressive this year. It's things like this that really keep me going. If you ask the zombies, I'm sure the answer you'd get is a claw or bite to the face. Their way of saying "We enjoy eating you." At least that's what I take the strange noise they make after eating someone to mean. What was it? Barnar. I think. Don't take me up on that.
Us humans go on with little celebrations and traditions. The arrival of nomadic groups of survivors having chats with us; news of the rest of the city. Of course, this can be humorous news, or grim news. We prefer the former. Then there are the yearly celebrations; Halloween and Christmas. Seeing a suburb full of Christmas tress puts a smile on any man.
Then you have the most... sadistic survivors. They enjoy senseless killing of other humans. Some even realise that they will get hunted down, but they see this as part of the game. A game of control. A game they usually win. But I could get caught up in the moroseness of it all pretty quickly. Gotta keep your head up, as they say in Santlerville. Well, that was the plan before those rabid rabbits appeared.
