The most boring street in Malton, Osbert Street is so indescribably nondescript that words cannot but fail to convey the sheer tedium, the unrelenting monotony, the endless ennui that is entailed by an encounter with this epitome of suburban drudgery and uniformity; indeed, by now you are probably already beginning to suspect that there isn't even any point reading to the end of this sentence, yet somehow you are compelled through the utter boredom and futility to struggle on to the end, in the vain hope that there might, just might, be something worth reading about this dismal little street of sublunary misery and mundane joys, and yet, in that hope you already know you are deluded, and so it is that you reach your destination having known long before that arriving would be no better than the dreariness of the journey.

History

This street is so unremittingly dull that historians are now convinced it has been inhabited since ancient times by descendants of the first enslaved Dentonii, who were somehow permitted to remain by the clansmen of the ruling Pegg dynasty. No interesting artefacts or remains have been found, and by now everyone is too bored to look.
