At the beginning of the quarantine, the Malton Police Department set up roadblocks to prevent the undead from spreading from heavily infested areas. The barricades, metal nets fencing in the zombies in set suburbs proved ineffective, as they were torn down within hours. The swift fall of the barricades is largely blamed for the cuts in the police training budget.
Others claim that the barricades had been sabotaged. The usual suspects are DNR, Ex Mortis, but also shady, uniformed and armed people. Multiple roadblocks were flattened by unmarked grey buses.
