Promel Towers

Description

Don't jump! It's not worth it! ... Oh, go on then.

An apartment block tower to the south east of Fort Creedy, its concrete crumbling and stained.

History

Built by the East Pegton People's Democratic Council in the mid-1960s, Promel was meant to be a model of social modelling, and a flagship development designed to prove that the eastern half of the suburb could provide excellent facilities and a high standard of living for nor'easterners.

Unfortunately, the concrete used was sourced from unscrupulous Russian suppliers in Dentonside, who substituted potato peels and wood-shavings for cement and ash. As a result, the building began cracking and subsiding almost immediately after its grand opening.

The families housed within its apartments suffered dizziness, headaches and nausea, and those who complained of substandard plumbing and electrical fittings were 'disappeared' to other apartment blocks, or - worse still - left homeless in Houldenbank, never to be seen again.

In despair at the rising damp, plagues of rats and roaches, and occasional collapse of ceilings as the building slowly crushed itself under its own weight, some residents chose to end their misery by leaping from the tower to the ground below, leaving the similarly below-par pavement pock-marked and cratered by their bodies.

Promel continues to be a popular place for those seeking to do a header from the thirteenth floor, although they are now more likely to be career zombies who have yet to develop Brain Rot.

Barricade Policy

Current Status

26 May 2008 People may been for a little battle here. With the surrounding buildings ruined or being teared down, it might be best if you flee to the Hunter Building or Fort Creedy - Mureth —The preceding unsigned comment was added by mureth (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.
