August 28th

External Military: "... about sixty in Quarlesbank ... mostly just small groups ... can't see any signs of life ... it's a wasteland down there ... the Balchin Building has fallen - repeat, the Balchin Building has fallen ..." Laitaine 22:36, 28 August 2008 (BST)

August 25th

Fierce fighting erupted across north Quarlesbank over the last few days as the Elson Phone Mast Building Caretakers, QBH and Shed arrived back in force only to find Extinction Troops ready and waiting to receive their newly revived brains. The zombie response was quick, ghastly and devastating. Quarlesbank remains dead for the time being.--Zeug 10:40, 25 August 2008 (BST)

August 20th

MCDU forces remain lurking within the city as Operation Jack-in-the-Box begins to reclaim Quarlesbank from the hordes, reclamation will begin once reinforcements arrive. -- EchelonThree 12:14, 20 August 2008 (BST)

News of a renewed MCDU counter attack after their recent spectacular defeat at the claws of Extinction has residents dancing in the streets with joy. Unfortunately dancing in the open in Quarlesbank can be very dangerous to one's health and several grisly deaths have already been reported. Meanwhile Extinction zombies are congregating around the recently refurbished Shed HQ at the Wilmott Hotel in an apparent effort to nip any new barricading in the bud. --Zeug 16:35, 20 August 2008 (BST)

August 14th

In an orgy of brain eating simply far too horrible to describe Extinction Troops and mobs of feral zombies descended on the Wilmott Hotel and tore the last remaining Quarlesbank defense force apart ... limb from screaming limb. Benedict's Hospital and the Balchin NT have also been ruined as fair Quarlesbank, apparently abandoned by the MCDU, succumbs to the undead epidemic. All remaining residents are advised that the town is now under emergency quarantine with the only safe haven in the entire NW of Malton directly west through the Boundwoods to Yagoton. --Zeug 19:13, 14 August 2008 (BST)

August 12th

The red tide seems to be turning as Calvert Mall remains ruined along with Haslock, Evett and Milnerr NT's, Augarde PD and the Elson Caretakers HQ. The Wilmott Hotel defenders remain defiant in the face of the zombie onslaught and are maintaining Benedict's Hospital against constant ransacks. In the town's north west sector desperate survivors have retreated from the ruins to the Balchin NT, the last remaining functional NT in far NW Malton. --Zeug 11:00, 12 August 2008 (BST)

August 8th

After recent requests solicited no response, the following group links have been removed from the suburb.

If any of these groups are still active, please add them again.

--Adavastor 20:13, 8 August 2008 (BST)

August 7th

Local zombies and Extinction have liberated Calvert Mall and cleansed the mall of survivors, although some survivors escaped. This is a major step toward total Quarlesbank destruction.--HeliosGemini 22:14, 7 August 2008 (BST)

August 6th

Errata: Residents should be advised that the MCDU claim that "Major NT buildings in surrounding suburbs remain firmly in MCDU control" is factually incorrect if heading west, south west or south east due to ongoing zombie infections. The town's southern and eastern neighbours are of course without NT's and at the moment Balchin, Evett and Haslock NT's are ruined making Milnerr NT the only functional NT in the far NW. If seeking a fast revive the closest fully functional NT outside of the town limits is Style in Yagoton. We apologise for any inconvenience. --Zeug 04:43, 6 August 2008 (BST)

August 4th

Localized zombie resistance (mostly Extinction)remains steady in the face of increasing MCDU raids, the Evett building being a major bone of contention and changing hands regularly. Today it was reclaimed by MCDU forces. Major NT buildings in surrounding suburbs remain firmly in MCDU control as a Secondary RP. The barricades at Calvert have been stable with few, if any breaches. -- EchelonThree 10:46, 4 August 2008 (BST)

August 3rd

The Battle for Quarlesbank has entered its sixth week with the northern NT free run still under pressure. Evett NT remains ruined, Balchin NT was recently reclaimed and Haslock NT is under zombie siege. Extinction Troops continue to fight the strong MCDU presence across the town with regular barricade breaches at Calvert Mall and St Benedicts Hospital. --Zeug 19:27, 3 August 2008 (BST)

July

July 30th

Against the odds, the MCDU have achieved a victory over the zombie plague that sweeps over the suburb. Calvert mall has been reclaimed as an MCDU strike force swept the mall and survivors begin to rebuild the mall. The MCDU have successfully carved out a blue zone and have established a parallel against Extinction as they continue to push deeper into Extinction-held territory. Hope in the survivor resistance is strong, and so is the fight left in them. The MCDU will do everything in their power to hold this town and (re)claim what is rightfully ours. Status report: NTs: MCDU Control 4, Extinction Control 0, Calvert: MCDU Control, Elson Comms Tower: MCDU,

The entire suburb will be reclaimed into a green zone in good time. -- EchelonThree 13:49, 31 July 2008 (BST)

July 29th

The zombie presence seems to be strengthening in the NE section of Quarlesbank. Both the Haslock ans Evett NT buildings there have fallen, and there are more zombies on the streets, though pro-survivor groups Shed, Elson Caretakers and QBH are continuing to thin out the deads numbers. Hope remains strong amongst the survivors there.--Biff Chitts 14:18, 29 July 2008 (BST)

Despite the rather optimistic reports Quarlesbank remains a very dangerous battlefield. Calvert Mall, Haslock NT, Evett NT and Augarde PD are all ruined with the survivors congregating in the either the north west sector of town around Milnerr NT and the Elson Caretakers HQ or in the southwest sectors remaining barricaded buildings. Extinction remains dedicated to the reclamation of this town. --Zeug 17:54, 29 July 2008 (BST)

July 26th

The MCDU continues its offensive against Extinction into Quarlesbank, today they have pushed Extinction back to the edges of the subrub, with neighboring West Boundwood firmly in DEM control, Calvert Mall, despite its current status of under attack, remains an inspirational symbol of resistance against all odds, where outnumbered survivors have stages a brave resistance. The Haslock NT also remains a stronghold of survivor supremacy in the area. Survivor forces in the area are advised to remain and resist to push back the zombie plague. -- EchelonThree 14:46, 26 July 2008 (BST)

July 25th

This town is a warzone with fighting entering its fourth straight week, and now a fortnight since the MCDU reinforced the Elson Caretakers and QBH against Extinction. Calvert Mall is again reduced to ruins and the southeastern hospitals are coming under renewed attack with skirmishes along the neighbouring free runs into West Boundwood. Fierce battles continue around the town's northern NT run through to the QBH HQ in the Haslock NT which remains defiant after repeated breaches and ransacks. All current residents are advised to remain in town only if fully prepared for the supreme sacrifices required for its defence. --Zeug 06:08, 26 July 2008 (BST)

July 19th

External Military: "... can see maybe seventy on the streets of Quarlesbank ... mostly just small groups ... a few buildings with lights on ... heavy structural damage ... Calvert Mall is being held ... the Balchin Building has fallen ..." Laitaine 23:53, 19 July 2008 (BST)

July 16th

The Battle for Quarlesbank grinds on with Extinction continuing to ruin and re-ruin the Haslock NT in the suburbs north east sector and barricades around town being constantly erected and torn down. The Elson Caretakers and QBH supported by DEM remain committed to holding on for as long as possible and current residents are advised to take extreme sanitary precautions when venturing outside while maintaining their barricades at all times. --Zeug 04:09, 16 July 2008 (BST)

July 7th

Calvert Mall, after a brief respite, has again been reduced to ruins by strangely well coordinated Extinction zombies. All current and prospective residents of Quarlesbank are advised that the town remains a very dangerous warzone and will presumably remain so for the foreseeable future as Extinction seems to be dedicated to its long term destruction as a survivor haven.--Zeug 06:13, 7 July 2008 (BST)

June

June 25th

Extinction's continued pummeling of Quarlesbank has wrecked the eastern half, and is now hitting the edge of west boundwood. 90% of the buildings in this half are ruined, though as always, pockets of resistance are begining the rebuild.--Biff Chitts 11:23, 25 June 2008 (BST)

Quarlesbank has now been returned to the Extinction Zone with every NT, Calvert Mall, Pitman Mansion, the hospitals, Police Departments, factories and their safehouses ruined, and every sign of life extinguished. Former breathing and now shambling residents are advised that a state of Zombie Law and Order has been declared and all are welcome to share in the ruination. --Zeug 22:34, 25 June 2008 (BST)

This section is for news, not propogander! There are still many survivors operating within Quarlesbank, and revive points are running as usual, with a slightly slower service than normal admitadly. This is the 3rd or 4th time that Extinction has rolled through and I dont expect this occupation will last any longer than the last ones. Quarlsbank is still open for buisness and any survivors are advised that its quite possible to stay ahead of Extinction, just make sure to check in with the local survivor groups for advice. --Silent badger 18:39, 29 June 2008 (BST)

June 23rd

The Elson Caretakers HQ has been overrun today with Extinction Troops breaking down the barricades and dragging the valiant defenders out into the street and tearing them limb from screaming limb. Central Quarlesbank is falling into ruin and Augarde PD has already been destroyed with serious casualties dealt to the defence force resident inside. Evett NT is also down and it is only a matter of time before the Zombie conquest of Quarlesbank is complete. All remaining residents are advised that the town is likely to remain a very dangerous warzone for the forseeable future. --Zeug 03:01, 23 June 2008 (BST)

June 21st

Indeed Extinction's slow march east out of Dakerstown has steamrollered Jensentown and now overwhelmed west Quarlesbank and is proceeding block by block, ruin by ruin towards the town's northern NT's and beleaguered Augarde PD. Terrible screams emanating from the Pitman Mansion Massacre yesterday were clearly audible as far as the Elson Caretakers HQ and as we speak Milnerr NT is on the verge of ruination along with its surrounding safehouses. The large number of Quarlesbank defenders falling back from now ruined Calvert Mall to the town's still well barricaded eastern sector should remain alert but not alarmed as the QBH leadership remains committed to restoring order as soon as possible. --Zeug 05:10, 21 June 2008 (BST)

June 19th

The undead mass that has been closing in on Quarlesbank for some time has finally hit. The Calvert mall is currently under attack {the lower left corner having been breeched}, and the suburb rating has been upped to red status, so i imagine the west side has been hit hard, as at time of writing the east side is still relatively clear.--Biff Chitts 10:58, 19 June 2008 (BST)

June 13th

External Military: "... can see twenty or so on the streets of Quarlesbank ... mostly just small groups ... lights are on across the suburb ... only a few buildings damaged though ... Calvert Mall is operational ..." This doesn't sound like a Dangerous suburb to me. If anyone in the area wants scout the area and make a more detailed report, that'd be great.--Scott Timewell 01:10, 14 June 2008 (BST)

The battle for the QBH appears to be over. No standing zeds outside of the NT. Largest horde in scanning range is 7 at TNR's super secret indoor RP (aka The Yea Building). Only a small pocket of Extinction zeds left; most have slunk off to presumably do battle elsewhere. I declare Quarlesbank "safe". Let's get cleaning up, there are a few Pinata's in the area around the QBH. --Blanemcc 09:15, 12 May 2008 (BST)

QBH was attacked by Extinction zeds and a conglomerate of PK'ers (presumably Extinction members flying under false flags). Haslock is on the brink.--Blanemcc 22:40, 12 May 2008 (BST)
Edit - Upgraded danger level do to the fact there is a zombie group in the burb.--Brainz 23:31, 12 May 2008 (BST)
Edit - The fight over Haslock and the surrounding area has teeter-tottered between survivors & zombies. There are a few zeds in Haslock. Both sides have been doing a great job of killing their enemies and spraypainting nasty things about them. --Dollar menu 22:39, 14 May 2008 (BST)

The battle over the QBH rages on with neither side giving up the fight. --Blanemcc 09:50, 10 May 2008 (BST)

With the rebuild pretty much complete, and the zombie presence pretty much driven out of the district, i offer a humble, congratulatory thanks to the many groups, locals, and visitors to our great suburb that have contibuted to such a fantastic defensive. Quarlesbank can still be the stand-out suburb it has always strived to be. United we stand....united we cannot fall!--Biff Chitts 23:52, 8 May 2008 (BST)

..... What? TNR and QBH are fighting Extinction at the Haslock NT. There's still a strong zed presence, we're just being awesome and keeping them up here. --Blanemcc 16:52, 9 May 2008 (BST)
There are 17 bodies and 2 standing zombies there. I wouldn't exactly call that a mob, and it's probably few enough to give the suburb green status. Good job keeping them down. -Aidan Swart 23:19, 9 May 2008 (BST)
Remember to keep this NPOV, zombies are players too. BTW, this suburb is NOT green.. read the guidelines.--Brainz 00:12, 10 May 2008 (BST)

May 4th

Have to disagree with my zombie friend here. Balchin NT and Milnerr NT are EHB and safe. This suburb is definitely not a war zone. Its moderately dangerous --Snakeingrass 10:26, 5 May 2008 (BST)

  • You know EHB buildings don't last very long against organized zombie squads, right? Unless there is a significant survivor population to reinforce a suburb, buildings being caded are not automatically "safe" Rawry 13:04, 5 May 2008 (BST)

May 4th

While much of the town has been cade strafed Calvert Mall along with Milnerr and Evett NT's have all been ruined by Extinction leaving Haslock NT in north east Quarlesbank the only remaining functional needle factory for death weary survivors. This town is a dangerous war zone. --Zeug 19:11, 4 May 2008 (BST)

May 3rd

A tentative attempt by survivors to reclaim Calvert Mall came to a halt against an Extinction-led counter-assault. Currently, less than 20 zombies are inside[1], however, and less than a dozen outside [2]. Meanwhile, much of the rest of Q-bank is still in survivor hands, with most buildings barricaded and many TRPs powered up. --WanYao 21:48, 3 May 2008 (BST)

April 28th

  • External Military Report: *01:39, 28 April 2008 (BST) "... maybe fifty in Quarlesbank ... they're just wandering around ... only one building with lights on ... most of the buildings are ruined ... the Balchin Building is down ..." --Dr Cory Bjornson 20:39, 28 April 2008 (BST)

April 26th

The rebuild is slow but steady, with many of the local groups in contribution. Still a fair few zeds roaming, but these are largly grouped near the NT's and the mall. For those still hiding, it is just about safe enough to come out and help with the rebuild.--Biff Chitts 10:16, 26 April 2008 (BST)

An Extinction Hunting Party passed through town this week picking off a few pockets of their favourite game, barricaded buildings and junkyards with brain fillings, before heading on through to West Boundwood. Any remaining residents are advised to stay low for the time being until the danger passes. --Zeug 09:40, 20 April 2008 (BST)

April 12th

The majority of the suburb is still in ruins, however there are pockets of resistance attempting to overcome the various zombie groups in the suburb. Acoustic Pie 17:20, 12 April 2008 (BST)

This suburb is ruined. I'd consider updating its status to ghost town, but ill get a second opinion first.--Danalov 04:38, 9 April 2008 (BST)

NB: Some of the buildings are ruined, but by no means is this a ghost town, yet. There is still some human resistance against the zombies round here so until that's gone then you can call it a ghost town. From what I could see in my visit there are about 90-100 zombies in the suburb. Calvert still remains ruined (and Pinata-ed for that matter) and various free running routes have been blocked. So it's a tricky situation at the moment, but still very dangerous. Acoustic Pie 13:47, 9 April 2008 (BST)
I'd say the fight is still going on in various parts of Quarlesbank, several key buildings are still in survivor hands. Remember, zombie groups use infiltrators, return the favour and dont wait idly in the Revive Points, use those AP's to canabolise other zombies! Keep the free running routes clear and keep preasure off NT's, and survivors will stand a better chance of being able to get help to you faster.--Silent badger 19:48, 9 April 2008 (BST)

March

March 28th

Calvert Mall has been ruined by a large force of The Dead supported by Extinction troops and local ferals. The town's northern NT's have also fallen and residents are advised to immediately flee east before the awful scenes of carnage at the Mall are re-enacted in their very own homes as Quarlesbank inevitably falls back into the nightmare it so briefly awoke from. --Zeug 07:46, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

March 27th

MALL BREACHED! 42 zeds in SW corner!--MaxFloyd 18:26, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Calvert mall is under heavy attack. 70 zed outside the SW corner and most of the surrounding buildings are now ruined with zed both inside and out. Calvert mall is still lit and barricaded but with all the PK'ers, the zerging and the massive hoard of The Dead outside, it shouldn't last the day. --Terry S 16:40, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

March 25th

The Dead wish to thank you for this information. Having just destroyed most buildings in Judgewood in one day, knowing there is such a juicy target so close by is very helpful. They'll be right over, so keep a light in the mall windows for them. --Wke235 02:25, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

March 19th

Calvert Mall has been retaken. All corners are lit, though I'm not sure for how long. All the corners are EHB, I think, which wasn't too difficult considering some daring folks decided to cade it while the zeds were still inside. -- Quizzical  Quiz  Speak  20:47, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

March 17th

Extinction Squads and local ferals are still battling the recent barricade strafing and have ruined Calvert Mall once again. The barricaded Milnerr NT now remains the last line of defense for the towns defenders and unless reinforcements arrive soon they may be hard pressed to keep it and the town safe from the zombie menace.--Zeug 18:18, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

March 14th

The zombie presence in the west side of our good suburb is slowly dwindling, and many buildings are now well barricaded. There is still moderate zombie activity, though this seems to be centered around the Evett/Haslock NT buildings and the mall. But visitors be wary, as there are still roamers scattered around the streets. The [Shed] reveive point ( cemetary just south of the Willmott Motel) is seeing a steady rate of revevifycation, but this hinges on keeping those Nt building up and running, so all survivors in the immediate area would be well advised to help defend. Extinction can be beat... There is still hope...--Biff Chitts 10:32, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

March 2nd

Good news for survivors. The Style NT in Yagoton (NW area just south of the ruined Bale Mall) has been retaken in force. It is currently barricaded to EHB and powered. And groups in the area are attempting to rebuild up their syringe supply. This is only a short distance from Quarlesbank for any in Zed state wishing to change. And if you head over there for a revive, the added benefit is you can help them hold the building or perhaps join in on retaking the mall. --Wke235 21:23, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

In addition to that the Revive Point at Harkness street has been taken over by the DEM, who are advising all to stay put in your positions and wait for revives, they are advising that you post these (while waiting in Yagoton) [tinyurl.com/jxkdg here]. Currently it is seen that this and St Swithun's Church are the points to wait for a revive at. Given that there is one working NT near Harkness Street, it is advised that people go there. As to reclaiming the suburb, some buildings are getting out of ruin, while the majority of the suburb remains clean of human life. Those who are brave enough to stay in the suburb are advised that Churches contain FAKs and are less likely to be attacked than Hospitals so will probably contain less zombies. Also to be aware that there is still a strong zombie presence throughout the north of the suburb, so do beware when free running through the ruined buildings as you could be injured. Acoustic Pie 21:59, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

February

February 28th

Unfortunatley Extinction have almost completely destroyed the entire of the north of the suburb and most of the south. It is unsure what survivors will be doing at the moment, although many have been seen flocking to local revive points. However due to the mass killing, it is doubtful as to whether or not those waiting will recieve a speedy revive. For those who are looking to regroup once revived, attempt to contact local groups to see what they can do to aid in re-capturing the suburb. Acoustic Pie 16:50, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

I'd like to point out that when contacting local groups, most groups for 4 or 5 suburbs around Quarlesbank are under serious pressure and they are fighting to hang on to their own areas (see the maps). If you move a good distance away as a zombie to a safer zone and get revived, you are very likely to be attacked and be killed attempting to return to this zone. This is especially so given the rules around free running between ruins and the risk of damage weakening your character. So rather than waste a lot of AP trying to protect a zombified zone deep in the red territories, the better choice is to join those local groups in the safer zones in starting to push back. IE .. use your AP for the fight, instead of wasting it all on movement. There's nothing funnier to a Zed than some brain who spends two turns shambling away, getting revived, and running back .. only to die again rapidly since there is little to no protection or supplies in the area. What a waste of time. --Wke235 04:37, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

February 27th

Just so everyone knows, this is the recent military broadcast: 25.96 MHz: "... leaving Quarlesbank, counted around a hundred and fifty outside ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... a few buildings with lights on ... most of the buildings are ruined ... power's on at the Evett Building ... Calvert Mall is in bad ..." . So just beware in your travels. Don't be sidetracked by the new area and forget your beginings because you could very well end up dead when you next log in! The same goes for zombies, if you wait and log in later you may find all the harmans have been eaten! Still, do beware everybody. Acoustic Pie 13:57, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

February 25th

Haslock NT has fallen, Balchin and Milnerr NT's in western Quarlesbank have fallen, southern Quarlesbank is being torn apart and ruin is steadily closing in on the survivors huddled in the remainder of the unlit suburb. On a more upbeat note Evett NT and Ausgarde PD remain defiant in the face of the persistent and coordinated zombie menace and the lack of electricity, basic sanitation and medical supplies have failed to dampen the spirits of the plucky defenders. Residents are advised that since the fall of Bale Mall in Yagoton any evacuation of the suburb would be extremely risky and thus the best course of action is a concerted and determined round the clock defense of Quarlesbank's last remaining NT and its revive point inside the Yea building next door. So stock up on ammunition and revive needles and defend as if your life depended on it. --Zeug 16:50, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

February 24th

The suburb remains under constant attack from Extinction with many of the more reputable buildings being under attack by strike teams and 'guardians'. It would appear that Extinction are targeting the TRP's in attempts to suck Quarlesbank's supplies dry. So anyone who is alvie is advised to stock up and watch their 'cades very closely. Remembering that they should not venture outside to kill any foes as it is a waste of AP. This is mainly so that in this case the best offense is a good defense. So, watch the 'cades, keep them at EHB (unless designated otherwise) and if a zed does break in, you have the AP you need to kill it. There is the risk that you may be killed before you log in, but once you have a revive, you will have the ammo needed to retake that building. Calvert Mall remains in ruin and the surrounding buildings are expected to fall next. Unless everyone watches their barricades and keeps a bit organised, the suburb will likely fall to the constant attacks. Hence anyone wishing to be somewhat safe should contact local groups and help them, there is safety in numbers. If these numbers are kept organised then the survivors can win this. However, if you find the situation that your building is compromised move onto a more non-descript (but close) building where there may be survivors who can heal and protect you until you are safe to move back. Acoustic Pie 13:29, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

February 23rd

Calvert Mall has yet again fallen to a zombie horde, this time led by Extinction, with the DHPD defence forces routed in a dreadful orgy of blood letting as the undead feast on their brains. The safehouses surrounding the Mall are also falling and survivors in need of shelter and/or revives are advised to fall back on the northern NT's, primarily Evett and Haslock, both of which are still holding out strongly. So long as the NT's hold and revive queues are serviced the valiant Quarlesbank defence forces can stand and fight. --Zeug 05:48, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Danger level updated accordingly The man 11:31, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Just to advise survivors who are in the area, going to Haslock and Evett is NOT necessarily a good idea. They will be high priority targets for Extinction's next attacks due to their reputations. It is advised by all means to get syringes from there, but stay in them at your own peril. Based on the previous history of that area in the section of Quarlesbank, going to the north, where there are the most attacks, isn't the best idea for anyone wanting to survive. For those wishing to be revived The Yea Building is an indoor revive point, cared for by The Quarlesbank Giants, while the cemetery in the north is an RP looked after by The Elson Building Caretakers. So, in conclusion, those fleeing from the south are advised to take non-descript buildings as their safehouses until they can take back the mall, and to be aware of any free running routes leading to TRP's and/or local group's buildings that may be ruined, which can lead to a loss of HP. Contrary to reports battle still rages around the northern NT's with the Haslock and Evett buildings under constant attack and their free runs ruined while Calvert Mall's NE section is zombie infested and its 26 remaining survivors are threatened by a 30+ horde of Extinction led zombies. To further complicate matters the town's hospitals also remain ruined. Although many Extinction zombies may be occupied elsewhere the suburb remains a cornerstone of the NW Extinction Zone and will not be won without a sustained fight by the newly arrived survivor force. Residents are advised to pitch in and regularly check their barricades for the duration of hostilities. --Zeug 20:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

In addition to this, although there are a lot of frequent attacks on buildings in the suburb, the majority of all the buildings are not in a state of ruin. Hence the suburb only classifies as a 'Dangerous' suburb, instead of a 'Very Dangerous' one. As Zeug pointed out, all human survivors are advised to watch the 'cades. Be aware that free running routes may cause injury if ruined and to stay away from TRPs unless you have a substantial 'take back' force. It should also be noted that at a push, FAKs can be found in all Churches throughout the entire of Malton. The north of the suburb is under constant attack leaving most of the buildings ruined (as it has been for most of the past) so if anyone is travelling that way, feel free to lend a hand to those who need it. As for the majority of zombies in the area, they are advised to use 'scent death' to the best of its ability and to follow the groans, as it's more than likely that they will end up at a meal. Acoustic Pie 20:55, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

February 21st

Well the suburb seems to be moving back to normal now, there are less zedz in the area but frequent break-ins, especially at the recently re-captured Calvert Mall. In other news, the phone mast is out of ruin and needing people to help out a bit, as well as the local landmark Pitman Mansion. Hence if any survivors are out in that area, feel free to drop in by any of them and lend a hand in 'cades etc. That way you are not only helping that building, but the whole suburb and most of the time it will not go unnoticed. There have also been various radio broadcasts throughout the suburb informing suvivors about the 3-4 month seige from Extinction throughout the summer of last year. For anyone wishing to know this is infact a true event and one which probably got Extinction a lot of notice from the various zombie (and human) players. However it is unlikely that such an event will happen in the near future, what may happen however is that there will be a lot of ruins and break-ins, so all humans are advised to watch their 'cades. Especially if they are in a TRP or a building near a TRP, as they will be high targets. Acoustic Pie 23:41, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

February 19th

Unfortunatley for Humans, most of the suburb remains under attack. With constant beatings from the likes of Extinction, survivors are finding it hard to take back what was once their's. That said, it has been noted that some survivor groups have returned to the suburb and are currently attempting to rebuild it. Any help is appreciated as it is hoped everything can be returned to normal by the end of the month. This does however mean that zombies are catching the scent of those humans and thus are making the most of their ability. So any humans wishing to help are advised to check out the local groups within the local area and contact them before heading off into the suburb alone. It is highly unlikely that, given the current circumstances, a lone survivors would last the night or long periods of rest. If you have to travel across this suburb, Free running, FAKs and shotguns are musts. That said, every human is advised to watch their step as falling from a ruined building can result in injury. Also, just on a quick note for those waiting for revives, do please be patient as the local NTs are out of action and will probably be like that for the next week. Those wishing to be revived faster should check out the local revive points and request a revive from groups which operate near there. Hence there is more of a chance of you being revived faster. Acoustic Pie 00:15, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

February 16th

There is still a large zombie presence within the suburb, with many of the buildings still ruined and uninhabited. Various survivors are working together with the local groups in an attempt to take back some of the buildings, however there is still a long way to go beofre Quarlesbank is back on its feet and fully inhabited again. Any survivors wishing to help with getting the suburb back should be willing to contact these groups in an attempt to aid the recapture of the suburb. Any ferals are advised to be aware of where they are and that the MoB has infact moved on from the suburb, so if they are wanting a substantial meal, then they should move on to where the most groans are heard. Acoustic Pie 22:59, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

February 12th

The 30 strong QBH led defense force holding the northerly Haslock NT has today been routed in a concerted Extinction attack assisted by elements of the Feral Undead and friendly local ferals. With the closest hospitals in ruins and the recent MoB devastation in the south of the suburb any remaining Quarlesbank residents are urged to evacuate immediately and regroup in East Boundwood. --Zeug 02:56, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

In addition to this, all those at revive points are told to be prepared for a long wait as due to the increase in queues, and many killed survivors who would normally revive those in the RP's. It is suggested that you move to a safer suburb and wait for a revive there, then coming back and helping take back the suburb. Statistically the best of the places to restock is Bale Mall and the best suburb to be revived in at the moment is Yagoton. However for all those currently inhabiting Quarlesbank, if you're alive count yourself as the lucky few, watch your step as you may injure yourself by free-running into a ruined building. Zombies who are looking for said survivors are going to be hard pressed, so it is advised they move onto a different suburb for their next meal. Acoustic Pie 21:17, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

February 11th

Quarlesbank has been hit hard. Most of it currently lies in ruins, and survivors are few and far between. Most buildings have a zombie presence inside and out. Survivors are advised to stay away, unless you're here for the clean up. And if you are i hope you're well armed! {{Biff Chitts - [Shed] }}

February 8th

Things have been changing drastically in south Quarlesbank in the past 48 hours. There is a strong zombie presence in Calvert Mall - a surprise attack from the Militant Order of Barhah that started in the NE quadrant of the mall and spread from there to the rest of the mall. Zombies have taken over a nearby factory as well. Rampant zombie infections are spreading. Survivors are cautioned to leave the area as quickly as possible, and ignore the requests from the Militant Order of Barhah for more brains.--FLZombie 17:34, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

"... can see about sixty on the streets of Quarlesbank ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... a lot of buildings with lights on ... some minor structural damage ... Calvert Mall is operational ... the Balchin Building has fallen - repeat, ..." from the external military broadcast. Hence survivors are advised to watch themselves and be aware of any large groups in the area. It should also be noted that zombies have broken into most of the Nothern suburb's buildings including Augarde PD, so do be aware when you are travelling that way. As for actual numbers of zombies, there are about 60 (as stated in the military report) and from intel gathered from locals, they are mainly in the north , however it is unclear how many are around the south, so do be advised when travelling. Acoustic Pie 19:02, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

February 5th

Much of the north of the suburb is in ruin, with only a handful of buildings near Pitman Mansion operating fully. At time of writing The Milnerr Building is in a state of ruin which is representative of the buildings around it. Still, a different story can be told for the south, which in comparason has very few ruined buildings. This is quite possibly because of the survivors in the mall searching the surrounding buildings and a mixture of groups in and around said buildings. However survivors are always advised to watch their step and any newbies in the area without free running (which has been noticed recently) are advised to not sleep in ruined buildings as their first point of call because they can be entered freely by zombies. That said, there are still a large number of zombies in the suburb with the majority towards the north, possibly from following the various feeding groans which have been amplified across the suburb and its outskirts. So zombies are advised to be aware of this and then take their next course of action depending on their new skills and their experience. Acoustic Pie 19:02, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

February 4th

As it was with the 2nd many things are the same, however there are still a lot of ruined buildings in the north of the suburb, possibly including Pitman Mansion, so as before, watch your step if you are heading that way. Calvert mall is still up and the local TRPs to the west/south west of the suburb are in operation, however possibly lack power. Many of the local NT's are under constant attack including The Milnerr Building, so survivors wishing to help are advised to head over there. For those who are wishing to help can stay in relative safety with one of the local groups if they aren't willing to spend the night in the NT buildings. As for the zombies many loud feeding groans can be heard in and across the whole suburb, so it is advised that they are followed as they most likely lead to a decent 'meal'. Acoustic Pie 19:58, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

February 2nd

It seems that the horde of zombies which ravaged the north of the suburb have moved on, allowing survivors to get back to their normal business. Still, there are some ruined buildings in and around Pitman Mansion, so survivors are advised to 'watch their step' as they travel in between the buildings. Calvert mall is still operational and the revive points in and around Quarlesbank are maintaining the same level of flow. However this does not mean that survivors should take a break, as there are still break-ins in and around the suburb. Also, any zombies in the suburb are advised to be aware of their new found powers involving scent death and are advised to use them to locate their next destination, and in that, survivors are to be aware what this will mean for them and hence they should possibly change their tactics accordingly. Acoustic Pie 17:02, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Zombies appear to be moving south. They have damaged some of the buildings immediately north of the Mall. In particular, the Emerson Plaza PD was recently broken into and infiltrated by zombies with survivors still inside (1:13 AM EST) User:HenryMorgentaler 30 January 2008

In addition to that, a local NT scan implimented most of the 40+ zombies in the suburb towards the south and it is advised that all inhabitants lock up their doors and windows and be aware of lights attracting the enemy! Also it is advised again that survivors and zombies alike learn how to adapt to their new found powers and how to prevent zombies from taking full advantage. Acoustic Pie 21:30, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

January 25th

Well, it has been quite a week for Quarlesbank, there is an increased zombie presence towards the north where various buildings are under heavy, continual assault and seeming to be in a constant state of ruin. Unfortunatley no NT broadcast is available at this moment in time to give an accurate representation of the numbers of zombies. However it is expected that there are more than 50 in the suburb. It is advised that all human inhabitants be extremely aware of the new updates to the game and change their stratagies accordingly. The same can be said for zombies who are probably planning their next attacks based upon the new updates. Still, it can be said that Quarlesbank is not a safe place to be, especially to the north. The north, therefore, can be seen as an adrenaline zone for new and old gamers alike, so those seeking a thrill and perpetual adrenaline from break-ins and the fear of not waking up the next morn' are advised to go there, as well as any other people willing to have a good fight against the zombies. Acoustic Pie 20:53, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

January 16th

Well, the suburb has been rudely awoken to various break-ins across the north of the suburb. Many of the pro-survivor groups establishments have been broken into over the past few days, however most are reclaimed quickly. In most cases it seems to be the work of the murderous, dark and twisted shadow group in Extinction, however this is only fueling the many desires of the survivors to keep the suburb safe. The snow is expected to last a few more weeks, so it is suggested that all inhabitants keep as warm as possible. In other news the mall is still running for survivors to visit as they please. Acoustic Pie 22:56, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

The new proposed barricade plan remains widely unvoted on. Break ins at the mall happen once or so every other day. The inhabitants repel them but are widely inexperienced in Mall Siege Defense. --StarmanHaxor 03:06, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

January 2nd

Another year gone by for the inhabitants of Quarlesbank, with the rise and growth of Extinction probably being the most notable change in the year just gone, the local human inhabitants have had quite an ordeal keeping their home populated and as safe as possible. However the crisp, cold morning air was broken on the New Year by several break-ins, including; various entry points, the Phone Mast and TRP's in the north of the suburb. Many of the advancing zombies were fought back, however some still occupy various buildings. Groups of dedicated survivors are holding the mall up for supplies, however Extinction will probably be trying to keep the Mall their's and an attack is surely imminent, so do beware if you are travelling near the south of the suburb.

  • Also, there is a new barricade plan being made for the suburb to replace the old one, so if you value your life in Quarlesbank (as this will probably affect it) then check it out here. Acoustic Pie 15:47, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, in the times before christmas, everyone seems to be indoors braving the snow, the zombies however also want a piece of the warmth, and thus it is imperitive for all zombies to shelter behind monuments and cemetery gravestones and survivors are urged to stay indoors. Suburb report - not too many zedz in at the moment, revive points are running nice and smooth, so if you are a zombie and in need of a revive i'm sure sooner or later you'll be revived in one of the two points. Note that as of 10/19/07 this barricade plan is not being followed. Specifically, both PDs are EHB, not VSB as they should be.

The barricade plan kind of went out of the window a bit when extinction came through, since then it's just grown its own way. The Augarde PD tends to be at EHB because it's smack bang next to an active revive point, so instead of that, there is St. ALberics at VSB, where there are survivors who will heal those who have just been revived. Also Augarde is next to an NT building which needs to be up and running, and if the PD goes then the NT will go next, so cades are essential. Acoustic Pie 12:23, 20 October 2007 (BST)

Still a few zedz in the revive points, but many use them as killing grounds instead, so watch out if you're a zombie.

August 3rd

Calvert Mall remains ransacked as does much of the suburb. Small groups of survivors who have not fled the town are barricading themselves in a few buildings but break ins are common due to the large feral zombie population and a cohort of Extinction troops keeping the NT's, Mall and hospitals undead. --Zeug 19:58, 3 August 2007 (BST)

The 173rd Airborne has returned to fight Extinction and currently the location of the group will be kept secret from anyone who does not locate us or communicate. (Update:Nevermind we disbanded) --Private Grif 04:04, 30 July 2007 (BST)

Quarlesbank is now an Extinction Zone. Calvert Mall is dead, all four NT's are ransacked and occupied along with the hospitals and Police Depts, and Extinction Troops are cleaning out all remaining survivor safehouses in search of the few remaining fresh brains.--Zeug 07:24, 30 July 2007 (BST)

July 28th

Yesterday evening Extinction led an attack on Calvert Mall for the 3rd night night in a row. The SE corner was ransacked 20 minutes later. Currently, 3 corners of the mall are ransacked, and 13 infected survivors are bravely standing in the NW corner. The mall is expected to succumb completely to zombie hands in the new few hours. All 4 suburb NTs are still ransacked and the life expectancy for survivors who stay in the suburb is not anticipated to be particularly long. 'arm. 16:39, 28 July 2007 (BST)

At 20:20 (BST) the NW corner of Calvert Mall was ransacked; it finally fell to Extinction and local ferals with echoes of BARHAH! Final ransack honours go to raive. 'arm. 20:22, 28 July 2007 (BST)

The 173rd Airborne Group can no longer be found in Quarlesbank currently an update status on the groups location is unavailable. Group may die out. --Private Grif 05:32, 29 July 2007 (BST)

Extinction encourages survivors within Quarlesbank to leave the suburb and never to return. --Brainz 10:11, 29 July 2007 (BST)

July 26th

Today Extinction led an attack on Calvert Mall. 3 hours later the SE corner of the Mall was ransacked. Although Extinction are the zombie group coordinating the organisation of attacks, probably 50% of the zombies in the suburb are ferals taking advantage of the current situation. There exists a significant number of organised survivors in the suburb, and it remains to be seen which side will be victorious - neither is guaranteed an easy ride to victory. 'arm. 00:37, 27 July 2007 (BST)

July 25th

All NTs are under Extinction's control and most, if not all, resource buildings have been ransacked. Humans, run or grab your guns, because they are coming for you. -- A proud member of Extinction. Cloud6272 05:35, 25 July 2007 (BST)

July 20th

Checked on The_Milnerr_Building, building damage has been repaired, at EHB, updated building's status report. Only a few scattered zeds outside in this part of 'burb. Plenty of Survivors inside buildings in area. Checked on revive points/cues several times in last few days and none waiting. Survivors are holding their own here.--Lectrespectre 19:08, 20 July 2007 (BST)

July 18th

Things seem to be running fairly smoothly in the upper mid section of the 'burb. It feels like home to me.--Lectrespectre 01:25, 19 July 2007 (BST)

All four NecroTech buildings are ransacked and Extinction zombies fill them. With revivification syringes now in short supply, revive points queues are shortly expected to grow in length as the zombie menance rampage further throughout the suburb. 'arm. 04:12, 19 July 2007 (BST)

It has been reported that there is a seige at Neot General Hospital in the eastern suburb. It is requested for survivors who are able to assist to do so.

October

October 3rd

He's back... Yes that's right; Lord Pitman has returned and he doesn't like what he see's! It is time to purge the burb once and for all. Beware all human inhabitants.

September

September 5th

The suburb ,for all intents and purposes, is secure. Occasinal breakings, but revives are quick. Avoid the hospital unless you have to. The FVZA had set up a quite sucessful revive point.

August 11th

Calvert Mall was retaken by survivors in a spectacular display of team effort and patience.
The zombies were stacked against the survivors 3 to 1 and with few places to run things looked bleak fast. Amazingly there were no fatalities and only a few infections which were easily treated.
The Mall continues to be attacked but by manageable sized gangs of 1 to 4 zombies at a time.

August 8th

Over the past few days Calvert Mall has been the subject of many minor break-ins all of which have been suppress, until today that is. At this time of writing, Calvert Mall is on its last legs with a few survivors left or trapped within.

June

June 28th

Long has it been since any news has left Quarlesbank, the main reason behind this has been the large zombie prescence once again filtering through the suburb. Lord Pitman has been spotted back at his ancestral home wreaking havoc on those who dared to soil it with their prescence.

June 18th

It is very active in the north, with Augarde Street Police Dept currently under seige. Lots of people hiding out are being dragged out and killed, while the undead are continually breaking down the barriers, and adding to their ranks.

May

May 16th

Local rumours spread of the Pitman Pitballs going on a vacation in search of the legendary warehouse of undrunk liquer. They should be back in a few weeks.

April

April 9th

Quarlesbank has become a silent town on the edge of madness, the Pitbull pups seem to have fled the area and the streets have an unearthly calm about them. According to sources, an anti PK'ing group is sweeping the area after a spate of killings against the latest inhabitants to appear - all fingers have pointed to the Pitbulls hence maybe the lack of their prescence? Other than the odd ransacking of a building all else is normal, but is this the calm before the storm?
