Description

This tower is the Mobile Phone Mast for the suburb of Dartside, which is located in the South Central Area of the city.

Don't let this building fall into zombie hands

History

Constructed in 1972 as subsidized apartments, Samborne Towers spent most of its existence as an undistinguished highrise. After the outbreak began it became notable for its mobilized tenants, many of whom were of Middle Eastern and Eastern European origin, and most of which unwilling to leave their homes. After the events of the Second Big Bash, the building was abandoned, its multilingual grafitti a stark reminder of the people that once called it home.

Samborne Towers consists of two linked towers, each eighteen stories in height. The south tower(Building A) contains the main entrance which leads to Mays Way as well as underground parking access. The north tower (Building A) is topped by a mobile phone tower and its ground level contained several commercial units. The immediate neighbourhood includes a fire hall, a railway station, two police buildings, a factory, and a cheap hotel frequented by footballers and students; residents can at least claim that since the Outbreak things have grown quieter.

December 31 Radio Tower is working, but no messages are broadcasting. Tune to 26.25 MHz for future broadcasts.

December 26 The danger level of Dartside is rising and no one can pretend that this place will survive forever. Many people have gone across the street to Dunford fire station so they wont be ready if the zeds just skip over the FS and come strait to us. Still, I fell this is the safest place in Dartside. December 24, 2009: Christmas Eve. All was well when I left. There were many zombies outside but the survivors inside had enough to survive hundreds of zeds. The building is still EHB but I don't think the transmitter tower is working. Over all this building is pretty safe. --Wolfe Ellis 04:47, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

May 2009 You are inside Samborne Towers. The building has been extremely heavily barricaded. Also here are Thomas Rage (60HP), Natamar (60HP) and Holtzfeller (60HP).A portable generator has been set up here. It is running.
