Regardless of the number of zombies or the condition of the Luellin Building, it's not in the best interest of the overall suburb politics and it's resident groups, survivors and undead alike, to be focusing on any recovery efforts of the Luellin Building. That building belongs to a resident zombie group, so just ignore the building - the local resident survivors certainly do and it's worked out well for everyone.Dr Killdare 19:32, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Scarletwood saw a very sudden influx of undead several days ago and many of the buildings along the Scarletwood-Danversbank border are now in ruins. Most of the undead appear to be members of LUE and many have taken up residence in the Luellin Towers [72-89]. Recent scouting reports put the total number of zombies in the suburb at 60 but the main concentration is certainly in Luellin Towers, currently hosting 27 undead. Both hospitals are under constant attack and survivors are advised to use alternate medical facilities in neighboring suburbs. -- Dr Killdare 5:56 26 July 2008 (EST)

July 12th

Glad to report that Scarletwood is seeing lesser zombie activity, especially in the southern areas, just a few roaming zombies. GBP has kept fortifications in order, finding shelter and remaining safe from zombies should be fairly easy for survivors in Scarletwood. --nbeerbower 22:39, 12 July 2008 (EST)

May

May 24th

Unlike much of the city, Scarletwood is seeing a bit of real zombie action. A horde of 10 stands outside the Showers NT [1]; several more are at, or around, St Telesphorus's Hospital[2]. There are more zombies, and a few more ruined buildings, just across the west border in East Grayside, as well. While the barricades appear for the most part to be holding, the threat of the infection spreading[3] is very real in Scarletwood.--WanYao 00:10, 24 May 2008 (BST)

May 18th

Most zeds seem have to left the suburb, and survivors are slowly poking their heads out from the gutter and waking up to find themselves shot ass-full of revival fluid. It will take a month or two for the remaining afflicted areas to heal as survivors repopulate the area, but it seems to be holding strong for now.

May 14th

Changed danger level - seems much safer now. Few ruined buildings. brasso 9:33, 14 May 2008 (GMT)

Cancel that. One NT and its surrounding buildings are well out of operation - ruined, in fact, with zombies milling around. ~AriedartinTalkA KS J abt all 17:19, 14 May 2008 (BST)

May 6th

The zombie forces have claimed one victory after another, and have overpowered the few survivors in the SW who refused to evacuate. Along with massive reinforcements from ruined suburbs in the West, they've destroyed the entire West portion of the 'burb and the ruining of the Tompson Building has solidified their hold over the suburb. With revive queues running high and the few survivors in the NE evacuating to nearby Blesley Mall and parts beyond, the situation has become dire as a horde of about 100 zombies in total crowds the streets and scours the buildings. Scattered, but mostly unorganized, pockets of resistance pop up mainly in the war-torn South, but the zombies scan the buildings there with a chilling intensity and leave not one survivor brain undevoured. This suburb has turned into a deadly game of whack-a-mole, with survivors playing the part of the mole. And, in this case, the mole's head has been bashed so many times he has developed a migraine incurable even with syringes.-- Ioncannon11 16:33, 6 May 2008 (BST)

April

27th April 2008 Scarletwood is completely overrun. The few buildings that have not fallen will fall very soon, recommend complete evacuation. More zeds arrive by the hour, they seem to be concentrating on the NT building and the 2 hospitals, where I was...about 50 or so survivors laid to waste. I shall try to get the revive point in the Cemetary above the NT building up and running, but there are few buildings to camp in. --Doc Terr 13:47, 27 April 2008 (MST)

What in the name of Jesus christ is going on here? I though this suburb was just about ready to become green. Where did all these zombies come from? The man 22:06, 29 April 2008 (BST)

26th April 2008 A lot of over barricading in the southern side of Scarletwood, to me that seems to be the biggest danger. Although it’s not that hard to over come with “Free Runing”. There seems to be few zombies, but they are increaseing in number. --XxKomoraxX 15:52, 26 April 2008 (BST)

5 September 2007 As Curator of the Wiki, I'd like to set somethings straight and update the news. Our recent zombie attack caused a bit of commotion on our wiki page. It should be known that arguments, especially zombie vs. survivor -ish arguments should not take place on the wiki page, nor in the news section. All discussion should take place on the talk page. Large discussion, and arguments, just adds more crap that I have to clean up. Now back to news. Our status is going to be changed from red to yellow, mainly because some key buildings such as the Garniss Building and the Sealey building being retaken. August

28 August 2007 Speaking on behalf of the GBP, the oldest resident group in Scarletwood, I want to say a couple of things here. First off, the Feral Undead do NOT use spies to scout suburbs, including Scarletwood, and when you find them inside safe houses, its because *someone* indiscriminately used needles in a combat/random revive and put them there. To PK anyone based on group affiliation alone is just wrong and adds insult to injury - it is a PK and he should report you to RG. The Feral Undead are often guests in the Garniss HQ when they're breathing and this is a long-standing relationship spanning more than a year. I've always found them to play a straight-up and honorable game of survivor vs. zombie and they'll come through the front door the old fashion way - they'll take the cades down from the outside, not from the inside. I think we have many new survivors in the suburb who've stepped into a different political situation which they've never seen before. Just because we play things a little different here doesn't mean its wrong. There are other zombie groups in Scarletwood right now that deserve equal attention because of the level of destruction in the suburb. I think its wrong to single this one particular zed group out among the ruins. But I'll say this in closing, that I will have Garniss back one day and the FU, RRF, the D-vEM and any other BREATHING survivor will always be welcome in my suburb and my HQ. After all, the condition of breathing qualifies as a survivor by my group's standards and everyone in Malton is deserving of respect and fair treatment, regardless of group affiliation.Dr Killdare 14:48, 28 August 2007 (BST)

Discussion moved to the talk page. It was getting too long for this section. - Whitehouse 16:38, 29 August 2007 (BST)

22 August 2007 The Feral Undead brought human spies with them; I found at least one FU member (as a human) inside St. Spyridon's Hospital, and there's got to be more. I killed "a zombie Mandril" because their profile announced them as a FU member (and they're high-level), so don't put me on the PK list. Garniss and Sealey are still ruined, and the mobs inside are big (15-20 zeds). I spent my AP killing the spy, so I don't know the conditions of other buildings. Please post if you see somewhere that's ruined or in trouble. -WolfBane2

Yessir! I can tell you with confidence that the Karnaus Row Fire Station is ruined because I just did it. As far as letting you know if I see somewhere in trouble... well... I think I will let you figure that out for yourself. --Priapus 13:36, 28 August 2007 (BST)

21 August 2007 There's 13 zombies inside the Garniss Building and 16 inside the Sealey Building. Anyone who can help, clear out Sealey first. We'll need syringes. -WolfBane2

Be careful who you revive at the cemetery, there's at least one Feral Undead member in the stack. Tried to knock it out, but me and my fire axe (10%, 3 dmg) couldn't manage it. --FunnyMan 04:15, 22 August 2007 (BST) P.S. It was mon petite erreur, if you feel like finishing the job.

20 August 2007 There's a zombie infestation in Scarletwood. The Sealey Building (NT) is wide open with >10 zeds inside. The Garniss Building just to its SE is likewise corrupted, with ~25 zeds inside. --FunnyMan 22:38, 20 August 2007 (BST)

Update: Confirmed. 25 inside Garniss, 20 inside Sealey. Needless to say, both buildings are ruined and vacated by survivors. [by WolfBane2]

09 June 2007 A large mob of sixteen zombies are scuffing in front of St Spyridon's Hospital. They sure don't look like their waiting for a revive! The area is going to need some help here. St Telesphorus's and Hillard Road PD could be next! Agent Crimm, 7:13 PM

May

9 May 2007 Well, we are having a bit of a problem in Scarletwood right now but in reference to the previous post, I believe my exact orders were to "scatter and don't bunch up" to minimize losses in case of break-ins. I don't think I ever quite used the word "flee." The GBP is still a presence in Scarletwood although I hope we're just harder to locate these days. However, there's no doubt the suburb is really trashed and it will take a lot of hard work to close it up. I don't see the suburb's recovery as being something that can be accomplished in the short term but it will recover. We've seen far worse than this. ---Dr Killdare 01:16, 10 May 2007 (BST)

April

30 April 2007 Zombies run rampant throughout the suburb. The Garniss Building, home base of the Garniss Border Patrol, is now home to half a dozen zeds. Both hospitals are ransacked, GBP members are fleeing. It'll take some serious work to take the suburb back. ---SithLordCortana 15:17 April 30 2007 (PST)

23 April 2007 There have been no updates for the past month. The zombies have come back to our dear suburb. There will however, be no update to the Suburb status. Also, Gulonside is in a state of relative havoc. Blesley is also being attack. It's not looking good in our neck of the woods. ---SAMW3 Curator 15:53 April 23 2007 (EST)

March

26 March 2007 The south side of Scarletwood recently suffered an attack on our resources from GKer 'cool nYou'. After cool nYou's prompt and well deserved execution it is requested of nearby survivors to please refrain from reviving this annoyance lest we prolong his stay. Replacement generators and fuel are being gathered from the NE factory. While aiding in this effort I observed most of scarletwood is barricaded at EHB making movement difficult, it is requested thusly that survivors please review the Scarletwood Barricade Policy and share it with others. ---Cakes1387 18:00 March 26 2007 (PST)

Help is needed before things get out of hand. ---Imalumberjack 16:00 March 23 2007 (UTC)

19 Mar 2007 Scarletwood has experience a lot of news recently, causing this section to overflow. The amount of news is affecting the quality of the wiki. The more "stuff" you have on a page, the harder it is for your browser to fit it into a readable space. Therefore, in order to maintain the quality of the wiki for all readers, a new page is being formed called the Scarletwood News Archive. ALL NEWS PREVIOUS TO 2007 will be moved there. Also, due to the reasonable abatement of the zombie horde that decended upon Scarletwood, the threat level has been move up one to Dangerous. ---SAMW3 Curator 14:55 March 19 2007 (EST)

Please check this wiki frequently in case of updates.---SAMW3 Curator 3:47 PM 01 March 2007 (EST)

February

28 Feb 2007 As the zombie hordes to the south stumble ever closer, the GBP are organizing their forces in order to counter the threat. To that end, the Scarletwood Fuel Co-Op has been re-established. Service will begin immediately.---DSGDarkRaven 12:49 AM 28 February 2007 (EST)

27 Feb 2007Due to the deteriorating conditions in and around Scarletwood, our danger status has been downed from Normal to Dangerous. Though not anticipated, if zombie surges from Davernsbank are higher than expected, our status may be changed to Very Dangerous. In that case, an emergency Barricade Plan may be drawn up. All residents are advised to monitor this wiki, in case of any changes.---SAMW3 Curator 11:52 AM 27 February 2007 (EST)

24 Feb 2007 As the surrounding suburbs grow increasingly hostile, all residents of Scarletwood are advised to be on alert. Zombie violence is escalating in the southern Suburb of Danversbank, and residing human forces are finding themselves unable to handle the threat. While the local zombie population is still relatively low in comparison, the current "peace" might not last for much longer. If you are unaffiliated with the local militias, you may want to consult the suburbs barricade plan and find a safehouse, or seek shelter in the safer suburbs to the west.---DSGDarkRaven 12:39 AM 24 February 2007 (EST)

17 Feb 2007 As said before VVV we're experiencing a growing number of "zombies in the 'hood" (pun intended). That being the case, as official curator of the status of Scarletwood, I deem that our status be set as moderate.---SAMW3 Curator 07:09 PM 17 February 2007 (EST)

15 Feb 2007 Lots of zombies are spilling over from Danversbank at the south end of the suburb. A group of at least 14 were seen near Hillard Road PD

06 Feb 2007 Since there have been no happenings, I just wanted to check in. Survivors, keep surviving, and zombies, keep doing whatever it is that you do.---SAMW3 Curator 09:28 AM 06 February 2007 (EST)

03 Jan 2007 As previous people have stated, not as much action in Scarletwood as other towns, but near by towns such as Whittenside tend to overflow a few Zombies every now and again, and I find myself going on the odd hunt to Danversbank and if im brave and have enough AP Whittenside, but of late the odd hoard one or two can be found near by, one of note being Sir Digby Chicken Ceaser who I tagged a little while back and he seems to pop up quite regularly. Hillard Road Police Department are starting to create a team ethic with constant updates of `sightings` and reports on `hunts`, in order for others to finish the job if necessary. I have started a log on this particular building now if anyone is interested.

December

28 Dec 2006 As sited before there is very little action in the suburb. Most zombies are small in numbers and levels. This being the case, the suburbs status has been moved to green again. ---SAMW3 Curator 10:48 AM 28 December 2006 {EST)

27 Dec 2006 Very little zombie action in the south-western section of the suburb. Most buildings have generators, and life is seems to be good for survivors in general (at least in the southwest) ---Terra 9:49 PM 27 December 2006 (PST)

22 Dec 2006 We've got some action here in town. Six zeds at the Nurley Motel, one of them being our good friend coolNYou. Only 2 survivors in the building at the moment; I healed them up and knocked cool down to about 17 points. I was so hoping for a headshot before I ran out of ammo. ---Dr. Vegas 09:52 AM 22 December 2006 (EST)

21 Dec 2006 Keeping with the spirit of the season, the GBP invites all survivors to come and party at Garniss. ---SAMW3 Curator 20:16 PM 21 December 2006 (EST)

21 Dec 2006 The Feral Undead's attempt to spread some Christmas cheer continues, with LueLLin Towers being broken into today. It seems a single focused attack is the order of the day, so keep an eye out, fellow survivors, for those barricades going down!---Robert McFarlane 21:52 21 December 2006 (GMT)

15 Dec 2006 It seems the Feral Undead have focused their sights upon South Scarletwood, specifically St. Telesphorus's Hospital. Break-ins have been occurring throughout the day, so some help would be appreciated! ~Robert McFarlane 18:57 15 December 2006 (GMT)

12 Dec 2006 Strange. An eerily silent night with not a zombie in sight in my crossings around the neighborhood. Attacks against Garniss have also ceased, the invaders vanished. Eye of the storm? --- MK42 09:39, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

07 Dec 2006 Suburb Status moved to Danger in observance of the Feral Dead's move into the neighborhood.

November

30 Nov 2006 A small group of rouge zombies are hopping back and forth, between the Scarletwood and Gulonside boarder. Other than that, nothing big is happening. It is suggested that survivors stock up arms and prepare for the massive influx of zombies expected to overflow out of Pennville. ---SAMW3 Curator 3:25, 30 November 2006 (EST)

29 Nov 2006 There has been a surge of overbarricading on the southern border, particularly in the southwest. It is getting really annoying to have to waste AP taking the barricades down to a reasonable level.--Terra

the suburb is still dead, nothing much except for the above news.--Darkmagic 00:44, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

28 Nov 2006 as of my last check, there is no mobile phone coverage in the suburb.--Darkmagic 21:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

20 Nov 2006 Someone needs to keep an eye out on player "a pitt bull" ([4]). Not sure of his angle, but he called himself using me by attacking me and then healing me to build up XP. I don't know if he is doing it to other people, but he needs to be watched.

UPDATE: He attacked me again. Possible PKer in training?

13 Nov 2006 Following on from yesterday, it seems that there is indeed a small organized group of zombies in Scarletwood at the moment. A couple of the buildings on the Danversbank were attacked today, and I wouldn't be surprised if the pile of bodies outside Luellin Towers doesn't rise up again tomorrow. --Robert McFarlane 18:35, 13 November 2006 (GMT)

For all I know now, he's still dead. This was the third time he's destroyed the generator at St Telesphorus's. If you seen him, let him rot.

3rd November: Scarletwood is not "dangerous." That was a false report. The only zombie problem in Scarletwood is the occasional zombie straggler we always have to deal with. - Mattimer

October 26,2006 Occasional Zombie here and there but i think most of them need a revive, Scarletwood is back up at Moderate but there is lots of zombie activity below the border to Danversbank--

October 24, 2006 Scarletwood is fortunate to welcome another survivor group to the suburb, the Luelinks Survivors. We currently have very few zombies in the immediate area yet over-barricading continues to be a problem. Also, its been brought to my attention that a level two zedling, Zombified000, http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=677350, has created a group called the Rovers of Dispair (Despair? Disrepair?) to start a zed horde based out of Scarletwood. Good luck with that, little one. We're kind of bored right now and in dire need of some sport. - Dr Killdare

October 11th, 2006 After doing scans for a week or so, i've gathered that there is no zombie centralization. Numbers range from between 4-10 zeds in the 'hood, with 25 unorganized at the most in the past couple weeks. I'd consider changing the danger map color to green, if I knew how to do such things. - Takeshi Nigagori

September

September 23rd, 2006 Things are ok now. Multiple groups have moved in to help with zombie threat--Brownst 12:16, 23 September 2006 (BST)Deathbringer83.

September 19th, 2006 Zombies are everywhere! Holy smokes! Groups of 5-10 zombies outside of MULTIPLE strategic buildings. - PoJack

Septembre 2nd, 2006 Due to the improvement of the suburb's state, it's danger level has been lowered to better represent reality. Keep up the good work.

August

August 28th, 2006 A few strangers not familiar with the Scarletwood area and recent problems with the undead menace were caught unaware in the Bentley Hotel but it was not the feeding frenzy the undead had advertised, expected or hoped for. The GBP and numerous allies are fighting to reclaim the suburb from undisclosed safe house locations outside the suburb. The order of the day is to strafe barricade everything in Scarletwood, providing safe houses for survivors passing though the suburb, heal the wounded and revive the fallen heros before sending them on their way to fight the horde.

August 23rd, 2006 Unknown number of survivors are holed up at the bentley hotel near garniss, all zombies should come and join the fun!!!

August 22nd, 2006 Scarletwood is recovering slowly. All people seeking a revive should move to the cemetary in Western Scarletwood

August 12, 2006 Scarletwood is now offically a target of The Big Bash. Time to fest.

August 2, 2006 Mellish Walk FS ihas fallen once again. The defenders need revives at both Mellish Walk and at the Gulsonside cemetary revive point 5 clicks north.

August 1, 2006 Mellish Walk FS is once again in human hands.

July

July 31, 2006 Light attacks at the Blesley Mall in Gulsonside have sent zeds scurrying south toward their apparent rally point at Mellish Walk.

Further reports from Zacharias Hospital in S Gulsonside show that it is still overrun with zeds, but zeds were trapped inside by a human recon unit. Zed traffic is light in the area, so it may be "hunting season" in the Zacharias area.

July 26, 2006, afternoon -- The Mellish Walk defense was blindsided and all humans were killed. Remaining forces headed for Zacharias should once again rally to the Bullen Building, Gulsonside, 77,77, or risk being caught outside during an attack.

July 26, 2006, morning -- The Mellish Walk defense was successful. The front line is now west of Mellish, and forces are attempting the SE relief of Zacharias Hospital in S Gulsonside.

July 25, 2006 -- The Mellish Walk defense rally point at the warehouse at 77, 78 has been moved to the Bullen Building at 77,77. The warehouse has been taken over by PH cultists. Defenders are being max-healed and are returning to Mellish ASAP.

No further reports have been heard from Zacharias Hospital in S Gulsonside. A recon was made to St. Polycarp Hospital in N Gulsonside. Polycarp is surrounded by a few zeds, and some injured zeds were trapped inside by the recon team after the hospital's defenses fell. A few FAKs were recovered and returned to the rally point.

Radio 26.16 reports that Zacharias has now fallen

July 24, 2006 - The brave defense of Mellish Walk Fire Station continues. The barracades are down again and we have 3 zombies trapped inside closed doors. HPs are low and we are out of FAKs after curing most infections. Relief defenders have arrived, but we could use more warriors and medics. Critically injured personnel are rallying at the nearest un-over-barricaded safe building, which is a warehouse in Gulonside (1N, 3N).

It is believed that PH cultists Ben Deroy and PHerez are responsible for East Greyside zombie uprising, and thus the attacks on Scarletwood and Gulsonside.

July 23, 2006 - The west side of Scarletwood is steadily filling with zeds. They appear to have a "manifest destiny" regime flowing from west to east. The current frontline appears to start at the Streets Hotel and goes straight down. Anything west of that line is risky territory.

Mellish Walk Fire Station has come under heavy attack. A zombie hoard broke down the barracades and got in, killing half the defenders and infecting the rest. The barracades are back up now, but all the remaining humans are desperate need of FAKs and relief defenders. Because of our infected condition, we haven't been able to recon outside in the last 24 hours. We assume that that access from the E, NE, and SE is safe. We could also use a transmitter, but we have 6 radios on various frequencies and haven't heard a thing.

July 22, 2006 - The cemetary has 20 zeds queued up. The approaches from the NE are clear, but be aware that zed invaders are in the blocks around the revive point to the S, SW, and W.

July 21, 2006 - The invasion from East Greyside has begun. SW Scarletwood safehouses are surrounded. The barracades are still up at most of them, but are only sparsely occupied. Breakout is to the NE.

The Cemetary Revive in East Greyside point is full of potential human soldiers, but there are very few live humans with revive syringes around. Plus, the areas to the S, SW, W, and NW are full of enemy Zs, Breakout is to E into Scartletwood.

All human defenders should rally at Mellish Walk Fire Station in Scarletwood. Humans are there and ready, but several need healing.

July 19, 2006 - The whole of North East East Grayside is full of Zombies (at least 75+, and there seem to be 0 humans left in East Grayside. No revive points are active in East Grayside, and approaches to them are blocked despite the revive points having at least 30+ hopefuls apiece. Scarletwood (and in particular, North West Scarletwood) should prepare for an invasion. Republic of Scarletwood's claim of neutrality will most likely not be respected, in any case.

July 1, 2006 - St Telesphorus's Hospital has a large group of 20+ zombies outside and nearby blocks all have zed presence. Survivors in the area are urged to keep a close eye on the barricades and continue culling the herd.

June

June 29, 2006 - St. Spyridon's Hospital is clear but a couple remain in St Telesphorus's Hospital. Both are under persistent but low-level attack.

June 26, 2006 - Both hospitals in Scarletwood overrun, tracking 10 zombies in the St. Spyridon's Hospital, and 2 in the St Telesphorus's Hospital. Casualties unknown at this time. --Penny Painkiller 08:08, 26 June 2006 (BST)

June 17, 2006 - The Garniss Border Patrol headquaters was raided by the De-vivification Experts of Malton leaving no survivors

June 7, 2006 - Order has been restored in the suburb. It's probably safe to assume the status should be returned to safe. I don't mind zombies as long as they don't want to eat my brains. If the Republic wants protection for zombies, they have to assign an unclaimed useless building for zombies to hide it. --Certified=Insane 21:27, 7 June 2006 (BST)

May

May 17, 2006-The Republic of Scarletwood makes a desperate plea to both Zombies and Humans to respect the neturality of the nation. It will however remain to be seen if the plea will be heard or not.--ShadowScope 01:52, 18 May 2006 (BST)

May 17, 2006 Heavy zombie presence spilling over from East Grayside, centered on Gerard Crescent Police Department. Ham dandy 21:45, 17 May 2006 (BST)

May 12th, 2006 - Zombie activity is on the rise again due to the growing presence of zeds shambling into West & East Grayside suburbs. Therefor spilling into Scarletwood streets, smashing & ransacking the most western buildings of the area. The Malton Confederacy has issued an evacuation order to all corresponding civilians in the area. Military units are now being deployed into Scarletwood to counter this growing zombie threat and survivors are now encouraged to head to the western border and setup a front in collaboration. The occupation will however violates the neutrality of the Republic of Scarletwood. But was the zombie populace themselves keeping in mind of the violation of this policy? User:bucketofmayo 02:22 PM, 12 May 2006 (CTR)

May 8th, 2006 - Minimal zombie activity, no major uprises. Quiet these days. -- Buncy T GBP 05:13, 9 May 2006 (BST)

April

April 4th, 2006 - Zombie activity has picked up in the NW region of Scarletwood. It is currently unknown if this is a organised effort or just a general trend. The the GBP's daily NecroNet scan shows this activity, and any survivors capable of attacking are encouraged to help push back the forces. BuncyTheFrog 02:21, 5 April 2006 (BST) (GBP)

March

March 26th 2006-The Republic of Scarletwood asserted its claim to Scarletwood and begins to take over several buildings. The Republic claims a policy of neturality, and does not support Humans or Zombies in the current conflict.--ShadowScope 02:03, 27 March 2006 (BST)

March 14th, 2006- Zombies still mostly active in northern regions, but not much activity. BuncyTheFrog 14:31, 14 March 2006 (GMT)
