Radio Communincations

know what you are talking about Short-wave Radio Info
This group or location has a dedicated radio frequency.

Frequency: 26.31 MHz
Transmitter Coordinates: XX,YY

The Designated S13 Radio frequency is 26.31

The Procedures for radio comm are currently in developement. The designation of call signs and emergency/operation codes will come at a later date.

Revive Broadcasts

Because Zombies can still hear Radio Broadcasts, this will be a useful tool in reviving fallen S13 members and fireteams. Since zeds cannot utilize GPS units, a building will be selected near the last known location, and monitored for the arrival of the MIA/KIA.

Revive broadcasts will use the call sign "Corpus"" and contain the name of the building being used for the rendezvous, ending with the Suburb.

An example would look like this;

Corpus, corpus. Pasco Avenue, Shackleville

When the MIA/KIA has been retrived and the revive location is no longer being used a broadcast should be made to announce this. i.e.

Corpus, omega. Pasco Avenue, Shackleville

Authenticated Broadcasts

Authenticated communications are used to insure that the integrity of callsigns has not been compromised. Other survivor groups may try to use S13 radio procedure to redirect, confuse and ambush our operatives. For this reason all broadcasts that involve a request for troop movement must be authenticated. All operational “hot words” must be authenticated.

Authentication Process has been adjusted, please update your knowledge

Step 1, use the day of the week:

Monday - mike
Tuesday - tango
Wednesday - wilco
Thursday - hotel
Friday - foxtrot
Saturday - seira
Sunday - zulu

Step two, use the week of the month:

first week - prime
second week - recoil
third week - sub
fourth week - omega

Ending with the month of the year in double digits, ie. 01-12 An example would be,

for the first Monday in January
“AUTH, mike-prime-01”
Or the fourth thursday November
“AUTH, hotel-omega-11.”
Or the second Wednesday in april
“AUTH, wilco-recoil-04”
