What is the STMORP?

The Seize the Means of Revival Policy seeks to cut off the supply of Revivification Syringes by preventing all access to Necrotech Buildings through cade and ruin, islanding and hold the piñata tactics. It aims to achieve what previous policies cannot - an end to revives in Malton.

The Fault in Salt the Land

Both Salt the Land and Scorched earth advocate for the prevention of revives through zombies ruining and holding NecroTech buildings. When survivors outnumber zombies this tactic is proven to be effective. However, as the Survivor-Zombie Imbalance tips towards an active playerbase dominated by zombies, search odds for syringes increase dramatically - to the point where they can be easily found even within unpowered and ruined NecroTech buildings. These automatically adjusted search rates deliberately rebalance the game to prevent a zombie-won endgame through these means.

Viva Piñata

The only counter to increasing search rates is to prevent the act of searching in the first place. As syringes can only be found inside NecroTech buildings, the objective becomes not keeping those buildings ruined, but inaccessible. Piñatas provide a means to this end. By barricading NecroTech buildings above Very Strongly barricaded and then ruining them, access becomes impossible both from the street and by free running from adjacent buildings. Islanding offers an alternative, if more complex, approach to denying access by isolating heavily barricaded NecroTech buildings from the wider free running network. Regardless of approach, sustained denial of access will also require the maintenance of piñatas through hold the piñata tactics.

By turning NecroTech buildings into piñatas, survivors are denied even the chance to search for revivification syringes.

Don't be a Scab

Are you a zombie? Have you found a NecroTech piñata? Respect the picket line! Leave those barricades be and stand in solidarity with your death cultist brothers!

Your rotten body might be covered in scabs, but that doesn't mean you should be one!
