Description

St. Innocent's Church is a... is a... well, one might best call it a "strange alien cult" church located in the suburb of Dunningwood. In the days before the "Malton Incident" the church was much like any other, or so most people believed, but ever since the outbreak survivors dressed in long flowing robes have been spotted in and around the church, often passing out flyers to passing (or running) survivors. Occasionally a survivor has even spotted a zombie stumbling about with flyers stapled to its body... or worse, been revived to find themselves with flyers stapled to their bodies. Ow! Just ow!

The survivors who dwell in the church apparently worship, or at least pledge allegiance to, an alien entity known as "Xenu". The church itself has been unofficially renamed the "First Church of Xenu", at least indicating that it is not one of many and very well possibly the only such church of its kind. Survivors preach that all humans must cherish their Thetans and that a certain "other religion" wants to do nothing more than steal all your precious Thetans! As to how all of this associated with the current zombie apocalypse is anyone's guess.

For the most part though the cultists appear to be friendly and sociable to living humans. They do appear hostile to zombies, as most survivors would expect. Even more so, when word that zombies are mere "tools of the Thetan-stealers", a conspiracy theory no doubt peddled by the Xenu worshippers that seem to implicate the "other religion" and its agents as the cause for the outbreak. One unnamed and unknown cultist was quoted as having said, "NecroTech is a front for their organization. After all what better servants could they hope to acquire than mindless zombies serving their every whim? Science is the cause of all these troubles! Science is their religion!"

When asked to comment on these unfounded allegations noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, had this to say, "Seriously, these people are crazy. I mean 'The First Church of Xenu'? Alien overlords who trap Thetans in people's bodies? Come on, who comes up with this nonsense? It sounds more like a work of fiction. The NecroTech Corporation had nothing to do with this disaster and is only doing everything within its power to help rectify the situation as it stands now."

Mandate

As a church, St. Innocent's is an ideal shelter for inexperienced survivors seeking to stay off the streets at night. An unspoken rule is that survivors assist with the barricades should they ever drop below Very Strongly, but over-barricading should only happen when protecting against zombie sieges. Afterwards barricades should be lowered when the danger has passed, so as to keep an open door policy.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Dunningwood Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any vigilante-minded survivor who catches the culprit in the act. If this happens the accused survivor must present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly. So always be cautious lest you find yourself summarily executed for crimes against humanity.

Current Events

May 23rd, 2007 - Reports of strange "alien cult" activity have been passed on by survivors who have stayed overnight at the church. Local survivors are puzzled by what this all means. Zombies, and now... aliens? Or yet another conspiracy?
