St. Luke's Hospital (Old Arkham)

Description

A very old building with Gothic architecture and stonework giving a sense of dread to patients as they approached...

History

The building which is now called St. Luke's Hospital was formerly one half of the infamous Arkham sanitariums. The uppermost floors are abandoned and considered off-limits due to the fire damage that ravaged the internal walls during the mass escape. This tragic event originally forced the asylum's closure. Strange and terrible therapy machines were discovered in the treatment rooms, the purpose of which could only be guessed. The basement of the hospital is home to the Miskatonic University College of Arcane Medicinal Practice (or CAMP) which teaches such practices as bloodletting, trephination, and mercury enemas. After the zombie apocalypse, the hospital became a source of first aid and trauma care for those still in the suburb.

This is also where Dr. Hatecraft oversees the rebuilding of the Miskatonic University. He provides healing and revivication for all who need it.

Barricade Policy

Because of persistent zombie activity, St. Luke's Hospital is maintained at EHB+.

A portable generator has been set up here. It is running. One of the wards has been decorated with a terracotta statue, a Ming vase and a cremation urn. Somebody has spraypainted Miskatonic U. August 22, 2007 - St Luke's has been the target of a small but persistent group of zombies -- the Arkham Asylum Avengers, and their feral allies -- who seem determined to return to their "home". ROAR and their allies watch the hospital, but breakins are frequent. --WanYao 13:33, 22 August 2007 (BST)
