A major counter attack launched by the Roftwood Coordination Center, Department of Emergency Management, and Soldiers of Crossman was not successful in clearing the ~20 zombies from Nichols Mall. Local zombies and the Ridleybank Resistance Front still hold Nichols. --ZombGG (talk) 23:49, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

October 23rd

Nichols Mall fell to 20+ zombies largely from the Ridleybank Resistance Front horde. The breach occurred in the NW corner and soon the combined efforts of the Department of Emergency Management, Soldiers of Crossman, and the Roftwood Coordination Center were not enough to keep the mall in survivor hands. The mall has been ransacked and is in zombie hands. --ZombGG (talk) 23:49, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

August

Stanbury's presently very active, and very balanced between the populations. While the west of Stanbury is visibly under survivor control, this is mostly by default - a few lone wolves repaired the area a month or so ago, and the population besides them is heavily concentrated in the east. Stanbury locals of all sides are proving very stubborn, with a fun mix of members from groups with storied histories and relatively modern groups being present. For the Survivors, there's a few people each from The Kilt Store, The Fortress, Honourable Society of Kersley Mansion, Malton Fire Department and, until very recently; Roftwood Coordination Centre members as well (who've now mostly fallen-back to their home suburb). The Zombies have Ridleybank Resistance Front horde members, a few from The Grey Tide, and between 7 and 15 unaligned. In spite of all the activity, combat at the moment is slow and almost-always centred on Went Necrotech. There's been no serious attempt by the Survivors to capture and hold Nichols Mall aside from the Roftwood Coordination Centre-backed siege two weeks ago, nor for the Zombies to hold local survivor strongholds of Kersley Mansion and Lorenzo General Hospital. Stanbury's an exciting place to be right now, with buildings like Forse Walk School and Stribling Library changing hands most days; though the cornerstones of either side are unlikely to be knocked-in unless a co-ordinated group arrives to tip the scales any way, or perhaps several PKers, who've been notably absent for the past few months. --Rosey (talk) 18:40, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

The NW corner of Nichols Mall has been breached by significant numbers of zombies for the first time in weeks, after frequent minor break-ins. Currently there are 15 zombies inside and 57 outside, among a pile of 74 corpses. Resistance is ongoing in the NW corner. The other sectors are occupied by large number of survivors, but all sectors are unlit, making it hard to distinguish the darker clan tartans for the Kilt Store's esteemed clientele. Employees of The Kilt Store are engaged in showing out the undead tartanophiles as well as providing healthcare and the gift of life for all kilted customers.--Mallrat 06:14, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Nichols Mall is under siege by 30+ zombies. Other parts of Stanbury Village continue to experience break-ins; whether this warrants 'Highly Dangerous' status may be a matter of taste, but most buildings are not wide open or zombie-occupied and the mobs of zombies appear to number less than 150.--Mallrat 15:16, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Nichols Mall has been visited by the Mall Tour 09, eager to take advantage of the special offers at The Kilt Store. Undead shoppers are reminded that we cannot accept either expired customers or expired credit cards, due to government restrictions on sales of tartan to deceased persons. Please form an orderly queue at the till/revive point until such time as Kilt Store staff are able to advise you on the right clan tartan, or deliver the headshot you need.

As a result of the crowding and severe snowfalls, Stanbury Village should be considered Dangerous or even Very Dangerous at this time.--Mallrat 06:18, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Over the past 2 days an odd 80 or so zombies have flooded into the area, trashing the mall in but 1 day. Some survivor resistance can still be seen in the occasional building. The ever so popular Went building is still held firmly by survivors, but is expected to fall shortly. RRFfanboy 13:37, 16:th December (GMT+0)

Survivors are moving back into the area, sightings of kilt store members as well as BBB have been frequent. The mall is in survivor hands but the went building is still battled over. RRFfanboy 01:57, 9:th december (GMT+0)

Zombies attacking multiple resource buildings. Went Building's Necrotech is ruined, over 30 zombies inside the building. Halsey Auto Repair is overrun, then retaken and barricaded. Ex-humans crowding Yeoman Park revive point. Nichols Mall still stands strong, with more and more survivors flocking in from other ruined resource points. The east of the suburb continues to go uncontested. NW corner of Nichols is out, but there are no zombies outside and revive queues are very low, with only about 3-4 zeds at Maxwell and Yeoman. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 00:54, 11 October 2008 (BST)

As the Malton Block Party enters it's 4th day of operations, a strong foothold of partygoers has formed in the Northwestern part of the suburb. The death toll has been so low, a few survivors have been seen outside in Whetcombe Park roasting marshmallows and singing "I met a bear" around a campfire. The Corfield Arms has been rumoured to be running low on beer due to increased demand, however officials say that they are still "sort of confident" that the situation will not turn hostile. From an admittedly incomplete scout, it appears that most of the suburb is ruined, with only a few barricaded buildings to the south; however, many blocks are empty of zombies and others have only one or two. Nicholls Mall is ruined, but contains merely half a dozen standing zombies. [2] The Went is still ruined, and Yeoman Park currently has about 20 zombies waiting for revives, not all of them exactly docile... --WanYao 20:30, 17 August 2008 (BST)

The one-year anniversary party of The Kilt Store is finally drawing to a close. After weeks of celebrations the revelry has spiraled out of control and degraded to the point of brawling and rampant vandalism due to the large number of uninvited party crashers who somehow slipped past the bouncers. Kilt Store Owner offered his regards in a final announcement at the close of the party: "It's been a great party everyone! Thanks for coming! Careful on the drive home." -- Kilt Store Owner 14 June, 2008.

Nichols Mall is in the same situation as has been in the last week, with constant break-ins and generator destroyers, but is yet to fall by the looks of it. Halsey Auto Repair, just 1NW of Nichols, is up and running again, ensuring a good supply of fuel and generators. While it is still up, a few survivors should make it their responsibility to stock up on much needed power supplies. The Went Building is experiencing constant breakins but is still functional as of the time of writing. DanceDanceRevolution 04:02, 9 June 2008 (BST)

There doesn't appear to be notable attempts by zeds to take the mall and their numbers continue to dwindle. I wouldn't even mark this suburb as extremely dangerous.--Jackson 23:08, 9 June 2008 (BST)

As the definition of "extremely dangerous" includes "or hordes of over 150 zombies," I think it should probably stay labeled as such. But...still. Due to the high number of survivors in the mall, working revive points, and the fact that the rest of suburb isn't in ruins, it's not a terribly dangerous place for survivors at all, at the moment. --Jen 01:03, 10 June 2008 (BST)

June 5th

Yep, whoever updated the danger level was right. I don't know about the state of ruins in the suburb, but there's over 170 standing zombies outside NE Nichols. [3]. Ran out of AP before I could tally the entire population of the mall, but survivor population seems to have increased, too, as in the SW + NE corners alone there's a total of 240. --Jen 01:57, 5 June 2008 (BST)

You bet i was right to update it. Treking to the western part if the suburb and you could be as snug as a bug, but you cannot argue with 170+ zombies trying relentlessly to gatecrash the celebrations inside Nichols Mall, not to mention the ever-switching Went NT --DDRJake 03:07, 5 June 2008 (BST)
Heh -- I guess I could have looked at the history of the danger report page and given credit better. *laziness!* ;) Anyhow -- as of about 15 minutes ago, there were 366 survivors in the mall. Incessant death-cultist generator destruction shows no signs of letting up, and break-ins have been happening at other corners [4], not just the NE. --Jen 04:06, 5 June 2008 (BST)
Stanbury Village is rightfully a Very Dangerous suburb at present. DanceDanceRevolution 07:06, 5 June 2008 (BST)

Zombies continue small break ins and generator destruction in the mall. The rest of the suburb structure seems relatively intact, but some speculate that the barhahiferous horde outside the NW corner desire the delicious selection of brains and bananas to be found in the mall rather than miscellaneous survivors in surrounding buildings.--Danalov 13:17, 5 June 2008 (BST)

Multiple and repeated break-ins at Nichols possibly due to "Bub", yes that's Kevan, being amongst the horde outside...or maybe it's the fact that the RRF's current "crusade" is Nichols. Went NT seems to be less of a target now save for Murray Jay Suskind of RRF fame hanging around inside. Most attacks from the RRF seem to be coordinated, or at least advised, from Beacham Cinema 55,55 due to the high numbers of revived Gore Corps & RRF members lurking in the its shadows.--Xebulba 19:02, 5 June 2008 (BST)

June 4th

Both The Went Building and The Greenhow Building are ruined and occupied by zombies, many of them RRF. About 140 standing zombies wait outside the NE corner of Nichols Mall. The battle's been seesawing back and forth for a couple days now: survivors retake Went NT as zombies break into Nichols Mall, survivors secure the mall and zombies are back in Went again. One thing that's certain is neither side is backing down from this one. Zombie breakins are not scaring survivors off even though they occur on almost an hourly basis. There are high level players on both sides of the cades fighting this thing. Very efficient usage of AP. Very little idiocy.--Ronny Billcraft 06:16, 31 May 2008 (BST)

Thats because all the trenchies are geeting killed at Ft Creedy. Numbers outside the NW mall are up to 80-90 depending on how many are standing. BBC NEWS::The Mall is proudly in survivor hands. Currently they are taking everything that the RRF throw at them, well within their stride. Death culting has decreased, probably due to survivors being more careful whom they revive. All corners are powered. The zombie presence is now restricted to only outside the NE mall corner. The RRF have abandoned their two corner attack which they employed yesterday. Currently there are 50+ zombies outside, with very few feral groups. As predicted by the BBC News in yesterdays report, we can confirm Went NT was indeed assaulted & retaken by survivors. The building is now powered and re-barricaded. Necrotech are requesting non-resource building survivors in this area to relocate to Went and further strengthen the defenders position. BBC News::This is the BBC News broadcasting live from Nicols Mall. The RRF continue to probe the Malls defences. So far any attacks have been small isolated break-ins. The RRF seems to have changed tactics by splitting it's force. There are now 54+ zombies outside the NE corner and 12+ outside the SW corner. Some analysts have suggested this is an attempt to divert strength from other corners of the mall. It is confimed, however, that Went NT is still ruined, and more than likely in zombie hands. Went has now ceased operating for 24hrs. Whether the survivors are planning a retake remains to be seen. However, the question is with the RRF's full force required against the mall, can they realistically hold onto the NT for any viable length of time? And finally, on a lighter note. Those kind people at The Kilt Store are now offering FREE ROOT BEER to all visitors (this offer excludes the undead). The offer is on a first come, first served basis, with a limited supply only. We have one confirmed report of a survivor being dragged outside of the mall earlier this morning. Their fate, however, is unknown at this time. RRF death-culting has been commonplace once again; as a result, NecroTech staff are requested to DNA scan all revives. BBC NEWS FLASH:: There is a confired report of a zombie in the NE Mall corner. Death culting is now becoming more and more common place. As a result, survivors are requested to DNA scan before ALL REVIVES. Combat revives are NOT recommended, as they are proving more of a nuisance than a help. Most of the Western half of Stanbury Village is in ruins. There are standing zombies outside on almost every block, in groups of approximately 2-4 per block. There are very few survivors indoors, but fortunately, not too many zombies are inside the ruined buildings either. Many buildings are abandoned, and occasionally a building will have one or two zombies inside. I have heard from other players that Nichols Mall and the The Went Building are functioning again, however from what I saw briefly on the wiki, this is unsubstantiated. Tomorrow I'll scout the mall and Went NT and report back. Any other news or updates to this report are welcome. --BrainsTasty 22:26, 5 April 2008 (BST)

---The Kilt Store have taken and, along with passing survivors, been holding Nichols Mall and The Went Building for over a week. Eastern Stanbury has very few zombies with almost completely clear revive points. The only hoard of note in the East is the mob of 21 zombies outside Went NT who have yet to have a breakin amounting to anything other than headshots.--DDRJake 15:14, 6 April 2008 (BST)

March 27th

Everyone who did not flee Nichols Mall is now a member of the dead. All four sections of the mall are ruined and filled with zombies. All buildings within a three block radius of the mall (with the exception of a heavily barricaded junkyard) are also ruined and devoid of survivors.

Any news from the rest of the suburb? I mean the mall is in the North Eastern corner of Stanbury Village, what about the rest of the area? --BrainsTasty 16:21, 31 March 2008 (BST)

March 26th

Nichols Mall has over 100 zombies in the south west corner, which is ruined. There are around forty zombies in the south east corner, and most of the survivors are infected there. It looks like the mall might not be in survivor hands much longer.

Currently The Went Building is holding against what appears to be a horde of around 40 zombies. Though a few friendlies have skipped in and Mrh?ed, the vast majority are hungry. We've been dealing with fairly consistent break-ins which has slowed revives at Yeoman for the time being. The Mall is still lit and a fairly safe place to shop.

March 16rd

Stanbury appears to be slowly staggering to its feet and recommencing business as usual. Nicholls is caded and has power to 2 areas and we survived a night with no break-ins (which is lucky as there were only about 6 of us there). As a sign of the old Stanbury returning, there was even a random PKing. Although the Central Branch of Rotter's Relief is not fully functional as yet, for a guaranteed revive in the space of a few hours, head over to the Eastern Branch of Rotter's Relief at The Greatorex Building in Houldenbank.

And in further Stanbury News, the East side of Galbraith and now West Stanbury is slowly getting rebuilt and caded. I'm tunneling through the rubble like a little Necrotech mole (which they were considering as an alternative to zombies for a while, but that's another story...) and hope to have the Central Branch of Rotter's Relief in the Moseley Building and Catherine Hospital up and running soon.

The suburb is still very much in zombie hands, but the members of the Kilt Store and some of it's surviving patrons have been working tirelessly to secure safehouses throughout the Village. Survivors in the area are advised to keep a sharp lookout for safehouses manned by Kilt Store members and report in for further instruction. Stay alert, the zombies in the area are active and vicious.

Furthermore, human presence seems gone in Stanbury. After a number of prelimenary sweeps by skilled scouting units, there is almost no survivor presence. Many of our scouts were attacked on sight by zombies, which shows an activeness found rarely in Malton. Be aware, my friends. Be very aware. Corporal Shephard, 10:06, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

February 26th

Nichols Mall is down after an enormous undead horde entered Stanbury Village. The Kilt Store Owner and his employees would like to remind everyone to regroup at Tynte Mall. Further news of a counterattack to bring back our lovely home will be coming shortly. - Lucius8

February 25th

Undead presence is huge in Stanbury Village. Prelimenary scout reports from a small group of survivors on the west rim of Roftwood declare that there are only 14 or so survivors in the north-west corner of the Nichols Mall, with at least three-hundred some zombies outside and inside. (130 outside, 170 inside) The last few survivors are just waiting to be devoured wholly. Miracle anybody survived. In addition, it seems that zombie presence around other areas are limited, if in existence at all. If you are in the Stanbury area, I highly advise heading southwest. Possibly out of the suburbs. Corporal Shephard 10,10 AM, (UTC)

February 24th

Newly arrived ACC recruits were shocked to find the SE corner of the mall completely overrun. Without a proper headcount, I, Shephard, couldn't determine survivor numbers in that portion of the mall. Zombies were 72 strong. Survivors? No more than twenty. The entire Nichols Mall couldn't have had more than a meager.....130 survivors. It's possible to turn back the tides, but it looks like too many survivors are in corners crapping their pants. Personally, I gunslinged all I could, taking down two zombies. Dead body count is up to three at the time. All the zombies seem numb and unresponsive for now. Outside the building shows approxamitely 110 zombies waiting to pour inside and kill everybody. I advise swift barricading; only time will tell if we can escape, survive, or die. But remember: Use your head; aim at theirs. If you are in Nichols Mall or nearby, assist SE corner and kill the zombies! (And to keep it neutral, all 'zeds should rush inside and kill all the humans before they can put together a counter-response >.> )Corporal Shephard @ 7:01 (UTC)

February 22nd

And so the zombies begin to leave, with nichols mall being reinhabited. Maybe we can get back up from the force that hit us down so hard.

February 18th

Nichols Mall is repaired, re-barricaded and reopened following a counter-attack by elements of the Army Control Corps and the Cannonball Crew against the remaining zombie menace. Survivors are trickling through the doors to celebrate. The Kilt Store is officially reopened, with free kilts going out to all those survivors who helped bring Nichols back to it's feet. May we never leave again. Lucius8 @ 2:29 AM EST

And the final bodies dropped to the floor. St. Catherines Hospital Rotters Relief base was broken into, I could only yell and try and warn them as the zombies flooded in, to tired to run they were easy pickings for the zombies who killed them. I left only to hope a few got out or they're somewhere else in Stanbury Village, Im bleeding badly, Fell from another damned building and my last medkit I used and now I have nothing. I have a piece of glass stuck inside of my stomach, I'm bleeding slowly. Im going to head to The Moseley Building one block away. Im going to die again. God damn, I hate when it happens I turn into one of those zombies. Maybe some wandering Rotters Relief who survived, or anybody can revive me there. I'm one of the last survivors in Stunbury Village. Nichols Mall is destroyed, zeds are everywhere. Lots of building are ruined and full of that awful zombies. Radio broadcasts are rarely. We need more people!--Doctor Frohman 20:33, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Entry of Fred Caine: After a quick survey of jumping from building to building and looking to find survivors, I found very few buildings inhabited. Those that were had very few survivors as it was, and a group of zeds ready to take down the barricades of those survivors. I fell off the buildings so many times and there are groups of zombies near me everytime I fall down. They seem to be everywhere, I rush back inside of the closest building and do my best to avoid them. Galbraith Hills seems to be the closest refuge for any survivors but the zeds are following for the hunt. What was once a Largely populated city ruled by the survivors and keeping the zombie communities down, has now fallen to a large horde of zombies upon every block of the Village. And the question people are asking is: "How"? With such quick and brute force, what would usually take a week or two the zombies destroyed Stanbury village in a matter of a few simple days. Revive sites are down, and all NT buildings are destroyed, going outside is strict suicide. I'm going to try and make it to Galbraith Hills maybe I have a better chance there. I just hope I don't fall from another building or... That might just be it for me. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fred caine at 17:43, February 7, 2008
I haven't been able to survey the suburb but from what I hear, the Village is almost entirely destroyed. Over the past two days, I've jumped from building to building with each falling into ruin as I left. I'm one of the few left; there are only four others with me now. There must be others in the suburb, but they are few and far between. My energy has afforded me nothing but pointless barricading as I try to stay alive long enough to wait out the counterattack that is sure to come. I hope to get enough sleep tonight that perhaps I can try for Roftwood, which I've heard is safe. Lights are still out and I've heard no broadcasts since just before Nichols fell. I'd not seen destruction on this scale before, and in such sort time. I hope the barricades will hold... --Lucius8 @ 11:54 (EST)

A truly sad day for Stanbury Village survivors. Zeds have broken through Nichols Mall and murdered all survivors, the Went Building has been lost and it seems those who did survive either fled or are holding their ground in other areas of Stanbury Village. From scouting reports all NT buildings seem to be down and a spraypaint message in Moseley Building [NT] for the rotters relief says the clinic has been closed temporarily. Nichols has effectively fallen with at least SW and SE corners sacked and ruined and few if any survivors remaining in the mall. However, the zombie presence is not an overwhelming horde (the initial break-in that sacked the SW corner was only 30 zeds) and as such the mall may be able to be retaken by a concerted survivor offensive. The Kilt Store would appear to be closed for the time being. -- Taedras77

It's clear that zombies from throughout Malton, even in their primitive mind-state, have come to understand that gloriously fine kilts are available in the SW corner of Nichols Mall and are just dying to get a hold of a kilt of their own. As a result, a horde of over 140 standing zombies is still milling about outside the SW corner of Nichols Mall clamoring for kilts (or "Gaghz!" or "Gargham!", for "tartan", as they pronounce them). What they don't seem to understand is that I DON'T SELL TO ZOMBIES. No matter how many get in or what they do upon arrival, they'll get no kilt from me. Thanks to modern vending machine technology I've devised a way for survivors to obtain the finest kilts in Malton even if I'm not present at the time, while still preventing zombies from purchasing them. Will the zombies learn that only survivors can have the kilt and give up their siege? Stay tuned to find out. -- Kilt Store Owner 17 August 2007

Facts are good, survivor zombie numbers are near even, survivors only have at most 20 less people.--Karekmaps?! 12:02, 16 August 2007 (BST)

Just checked the Went NT recently, there were only 2 zombies inside and just a few in the surrounding area. Head to Yeoman park for revives. The Drama Club has active tours and citizens are encouraged to contact them if they would like to schedule a performance in their suburb.

July 13th

Nichols Mall has been retaken by The Fortress, Team Zombie Hardcore and The Secret Six. The mall has been in suvivorhands for about one day now. All corners of the mall is EHB and the suburb is so-so stabile. There is 22 zombies outside the mall. But there's safehouses for everyone! There is absolutely no need to panic. Stay Vigilant!--Stark Senap 05:34, 13 July 2007 (BST)

July 11th

Most of the suburb is still zombie controlled. With small pockets of survivors popping up in parts of central Stanbury and North West Stanbury, break ins happen everywhere, no where is safe, run panic, get eaten or do the eating. Stanbury remains somewhat firmly in zombie hands for the time being.--karek 04:37, 12 July 2007 (BST)

July 10th

Nichols Mall Currently has 10 zacks inside and the Went Building [NT] has 3. The suburb is pretty much rubble however the undead appear to have moved on elsewhere. Rise to the occasion fellow hereos! How Would Whalberg Rock? Balls To The Whalls! --Duke cage 16:59, 10 July 2007 (BST)

Additional Information - ZOMBIES ARE IN THE STREETS Headline news people, there are quite literally zombies everywhere, every single block, inside many buildings, eating the few remaining survivors, assaulting the few remaining barricades, telling survivors that tasty treats are tasty. June

June 30th

Several buildings around the Nichols Mall area were breached and ransacked today by members of the LUE horde, along with large numbers of ferals as well as local RRF members and other groups. Total human casualties on the day are unknown but probably number 100+.

June 29th

The Went Building has been the site of an attack. 50+ LUE horde members have breached and devoured at least 30 survivors. Several more will die before this message is read. --Vito Mortis

Nichols Mall has completely fallen to the zeds. Many survivors may want to evacuate to safer suburbs. Those willing to fight should meet at Halsey Auto Repair (57,51). The holy order of SOPPAGE will try to hold the line against the zeds as long as possible until retreating. -- Stinerman 16:49, 29 June 2007 (BST)

Or until all being eaten, whichever. Bring baggies. --Vito Mortis

Halsey Auto Repair, the Daynes Alley Police Department building, Lorenzo General Hospital and the Went Building were all cleared of survivors and fell into zombie hands during the course of the day, although at this stage feral zombies seem to be responsible for at least some of the activity.

June 28th

LUE just poured over 150 zombies into Nichols and ransacked a corner. I'm thinking this suburb is Very Dangerous now.... -- Murray Jay Suskind 01:44, 28 June 2007 (BST)

Negotiation attempts between Rotter's Relief and The Stanbury Mental Institute have broken down. Large crowd of 87 zombies possibly growing keep away!!!

Where? At the southwest Nichols corner, of course. It's under siege by 100 zeds, give or take, although the number fluctuates. The survivors are holding pretty strong and the horde seems rather unorganized.--Benigno SSZ RCC 15:47, 1 May 2007 (BST)

Stanbury Mental Institute patients still kicking it in Stanbury. Currently running out of Prozac and Viagra, anyone find some let us know we also are looking for boxes of salted peanuts and bright pink hats. The Secret Six have brought Nichols Mall back to order. All 4 corners are EHB, with a generator, and fueled. The Went Building is operational. The SW corner of the mall is being targeted by a horde, no doubt leftover from the Mall Tour. We are asking all residents to come back and help defend Nichols! Next target...Blackmoore!

It wasn't just the secret six, it was the secret six AND Zone Defenders AND Nintendorks, and I also see members of LoSH and BBB. Give credit where credit is due! And you can go have fun with blackmore, meanwhile we'll hold down the more important resource buildings ourselves. --Benigno SSZ RCC 15:19, 6 April 2007 (BST)

Escaped band of lunatics have been spotted in southern Stanbury Village. From the way they were shambling and mumbling about ,I had thought they were Zombies and took a few shots at them. Seems they have holed themselves up in some building down there and I am not sure what they will do next.

This place is a hellhole, I have become seperated from my main group. Last radio transmission I made to them on the last of my batterys was to Kempsterbank, I told them to make a move and head up here to Stanbury Village...Will they reach me on time? I couldnt find a safe building anywhere, place is locked up solid...managed to find a building with a hole in the wall, stinks like bodies the whole buildings been ransacked. I'll just camp out here until they arrive...if they arrive. Signed:Laghed

March 2nd

Passing through, much of the suburb is either wide open, or zombie infested. I had to leg it to neighbouring suburbs to find a safehouse. Not a place for newbies, or even fairly high level players. Valore 11:26, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

February 22nd

St. Simon's Hospital invested by zeds. It is very important to take back as it's on the route from Nichols Mall to Blackmore.

February 17th

Nichols Mall is fully operational and there is little to no zed activity outside the mall. Surrounding buildings to Nichols such as the Went NT Building are running. The Whale Building remains the most reliable entry point to Nichols mall. The Secret Six are the commanding group of this mall. All survivors are being asked to head up north to Blackmoore to help out fellow survivors.

January

January 17th

Nichols Mall is half-powered and lightly populated. Others are encouraged to come.

January 8th

Nichols Mall is ransacked. Survivors advised to retreat to Hildebrand Mall to restock.

January 3rd

Daynes Alley PD fell this morning. Unfortunately, all the designated safehouses in the area had been overbarricaded, so several young survivors in the area had nowhere to hide but the PD and were caught in the flood. Remember to respect the UBP, folks: keeping the safehouses and entry points open helps keep the zed population down.

January 2nd

Nichols Mall looks to have been barricaded but there are still 8-11 zeds inside and no survivors anywhere in the Mall. Local inhabitants are inviting passerbys that if you are nearby, feel free to stop in and kill a few zeds before leaving.

January 1st

After a rather uneventful New Year's passing, the Village of Stanbury remains crawling with pockets of Zombie groups throughout the area. Many late nighters have awoken this morning wondering if the buzz in their heads are from an infectious bite or just a bad rub off from the cases of skunked unrefridgerated beer and unconfirmed rumors of revivification needles as being the best answer to post party headache relief have begun to circulate through the streets. Area hospitals are handing out aspirin this morning at a 2:1 ratio over first-aid kits and are expected to continue the supply well into the early afternoon hours. What 2007 will bring to the streets of Stanbury remains to be seen.

Update: One addition to today's news, Nichols Mall has been overrun and there are around 40+ zeds outside and 30+ inside the mall. The word on the street is that the best bet is to stay away for now.

2006

December

December 26th

The mall is fully barricaded, but there are only 2 survivors inside.

December 25th

The zombies gave the survivors one hell of a christmas present by retaking the mall. Around 70 zeds inside, with groups of twenty in the surrounding area. Survivors are advised to leave the suburb.

December 22nd

Nichols mall has been over run. Fighting still occuring as the undead still countinue to grow and feast. Could use a more detailed report of situation as there are 50+ zombie groups in multiple places. This area is getting dangerous. Possible need to upgrade the danger level.

December 16th

Nichols Mall is currently zombie free and returning survivors are appearing. Stanbury in general is in need of restoration and this may be a good chance to do that. The mall is barricaded and if survivors begin returning, we may just be able to re-establish this bastion against Ridleybank.

December 11th

Nichols Mall is NOT safe, it has fallen and there is reports of a horde that contains 50+ zachs there, survivors should head elsewhere for time being.

December 4th

The Secret Six have regained control of the mall and are providing a safe haven. The Went NT is under Survivor control and breakins are dealt with swiftly.

December 3rd

Nichols has been retaken. Only 20 odd zeds knocking on the doors. This suburb is safe enough to sleep in.

November

November 24th

Nichols in undead hands. Entire suburb is filled with rotters. Best advice is run. Run fast.

November 23rd

Nichols has fallen. 160+ zombies inside.

November 6th

Nichols mall has been retaken for now, we don't have very many people inside the mall for the moment, and we need gennies and fuel. So if you're looking to help out with the newest battle of blackmore, but don't want to be in the thick of it, come help us out at Nichols.

October

October 26th

Although not great, things have gotten alot better and resource buildings have mostly been taken back. Revive point at Maxwell walk is running again.

October 19th

Situation has gotten worse since the mall fell. All resource buildings wide open and ransacked Revive Points clogged, your best bet is to move to a safer 'burb for revives until the situation improves.

October 13th

All survivors have been purged from the Nichols Mall. Spearheading the attack was the same zed horde, known as Shacknews, that attacked the Mall yesterday and broke The Went Building a few nights ago. Their attack was then reinforced by a detachment of The Ridleybank Resistance Front and the mall was cleared. With the Mall now ransacked and these zombies looking for new brains, this may be the nail in the Blackmore coffin.

October 13th

Nichols Mall update: 94 zombies NE, 41 zombies SE, 7 zombies SW, 15 zombies NW. Survivor levels thinning.

October 12th

As of this report, 95 zombies in the NE corner of Nickolas mall. 25 in the SE corner. Sudden attack that was driven back yesterday appears to only have been a feint, or perhaps the horde wasn't coordinated enough to have all members present for the first effort. Regardless, they hit the mall even harder today. Unknown if the Mall can repluse this many zombies.

October 11th

The Went Building, one of only two NT buildings in the suburb, has been breached by a group of 20 something zeds (hard to say how many actually participated in the attack and how many are zombified victims). Also, small bands of 3 to 5 zombies can be found roaming the area around the mall. While survivors within the mall are likely to be safe, it looks as if the zombie offensive might be picking up steam again.

October 4th

The siege outside Nichols has ended and the zombies have all gone north, to take part in the Battle of the Blackmore, where the Channel 4 News Team and their allies are now outnumbered 2:1. Stanbury, for its part, is effectively "moderate."

September

September 20th

The southwest corner of Nichols Mall is currently the object of a siege with 97 undead attackers assaulting the walls and barricades with hopes of feasting on the brains of sleeping survivors.

September 12th

The PH Clan of Moorish resistance left the following message to the people of "Satanbury billage":

"Yesterday Was a great day for Allah and for our Lord St.Poly Díaz Martyr: Some cultist celebrate an act of faith fot the holly word of our Saint; «I was born ago two days and i knock as a train» Now you, people of Satanbury knows the word of St. Poly, knows the infinite love of St. POly and we hope that your love to St. poly can be as big as our love to St. Poly. Aljandulilá, remeber one thing: ST POLY IS LOVE."

September 11th

Assassin groups, including PH in particular, staged an invasion of Nichols Mall and killed some 300 survivors in the space of a few minutes, placing the the mall under zombie control.

Update: The mall is under survivor control, but is unsafe due to continued murderous activity.

September 9th

The Blackmore Bastard Brigade continued the Greater Blackmore movement by announcing the annexation of Stanbury Village with support from various members of MRH and The Secret Six.

September 4th

Zombie numbers have started to increase. Collections of small zombie groups can be found all across the suburb near the Stribling Library. Apart from one or two lone zombies they are beginning to move in groups of 13 in this area. A coalition was created in this area to fight the zombie hordes but wether or not they can fight them all off has yet to be seen.

August

August 29th

No zombies outside Nichols Mall and a scan from the nearby Went Building at 59,55 reveals only 34 standing zombies, none in groups larger than 6.

August 6th

Nichols Mall is under survivor control, with only 12 zombies outside it.

July

Nichols Mall Welcome Sign

By Friday morning a good number of the buildings adjacent to Nichols Mall have been overrun and the organization of Survivor groups in the area still appears to be poor.

While the larger group of Zombie occupants has moved on, there are still high numbers remaining in the suburb. The Nichols Mall entrance sign has been resurrected with the message from the beginning of the year: No One Lives Here Anymore.

July 18th

The Big Bash and the Ridleybank Resistance Front are combining forces to bring down Nichols Mall, and honor Furtim of the RRF.

Results of the Big Bash at Nichols Mall on 7/18/06

And as per usual, any harmanz silly enough to remain in the suburb will be eaten. Standard procedure, y'know. Update: as of 1200GMT there are around 40 zombies fighting it out with 40 survivors in the NE corner of the mall. The situation for survivors is looking grim.

Update: as of 1620GMT the upper right corner has been ransacked with no survivors (in that section) and 90 zeds total in the mall. Late Update: The Big Bash has overrun Nichols Mall entirely (internal security sensor output to the left), leaving the straight forward message that the Big Bash doesn't siege, Big Bash SMASH!. Confirmed by Sonny Corleone, Rabbi Bob was the last human survivor to fall during the massive onslaught.

July 13th

The airwaves crackled this afternoon with a ominous foreshadowing of coming events. Listeners to 26.17MHz heard the following message:

"This warning is for Stanbury Village. Our armies our coming. All that you have done will be undone. We have gathered many shattered groups into one army [and] no group, no matter how strong, will stop us. Neither the MFD or the C4NT will stop us. Not even the legendary Secret Six will stand a chance. You will all die. This is the end of my warning. Good bye."

Amongst the broadcasted replies, Kryptonite ("I am an entity that serves the S6 in operation") put out the following response:

"Stanbury Village, this is Kryptonite. Please prioritize your defenses from this day forward. The Big Bash, as you are well aware, is coming, so steel yourselves for the onslaught. We will need the kind of tenacity and perseverance that was witnessed against the RRF. I will attempt to call aid. This is Kryptonite, over and out."

July 4th

The local Extravaganza event took place last night in Stanbury Place, however there have been no reports this morning of how the show went, leading survivors who spent the night inside to believe that it was a smashing success and everyone is sleeping in this morning or everyone had their brainz served up ala mode due to the increased local Zombie activity. A recent RFF sighting earlier this week places Sonny Corleone at Daynes Alley Police Dept prompting many of the survivors showing up to pay their parking tickets to go find something safer to do for the day.

Update: Following the incredible display during the Extravaganza, anyone with a few flares leftover are cordially invited by the DEM to Carr Arms in celebration of the Fourth of July. Any and all residents of Stanbury Village are invited, but we remind you that you will be asked to check any axes, guns, teeth, or claws at the door.

June

June 30th

The DEM has issued an official barricade plan for Stanbury Village, which can be found at the Stanbury Village Barricade Plan site. The majority of the suburb is sufficiently barricaded, with only a moderate zombie presence in the suburb. However, low-level survivors are encouraged to avoid the suburb, as the zombie occupation is expected to increase.

June 25th

There are no standing zombies outside Nichols. Survivors are beginning to secure the rest of the suburb. Stanbury Village is one of two outposts of Greater Ridleybank that is now embroiled in survivor-zombie battle; Barrville (Zomb. Barhahville) is the other. Late update - The DEM has officially begun endorsing the repopulation of this suburb. While survivor safety is not guaranteed, nightly breakins are few and far between. DEM presence in this suburb is expected to increase.

June 24th

Much of the Village is still unsafe for those without Free Running. Morale remains high at Nichols Mall, however, which is still safely in the hands of more than 150 survivors. Overnight, the horde outside the northwest corner melted from 80 to 30 undead as ferals dispersed across the suburb. It is not clear whether the Ridleybank Resistance Front was/is active in the siege, or whether the siege is indeed over for good. Late update - the RRF have confirmed that they were not involved at Nichols.

June 17th

The Secret Six is pleased to announce The First Annual Stanbury Village Talent Show and Benefit Dinner! On June 29th make your way to the NW Section of the Nichols Mall for drinks, dinner, and entertainment. The talent competition will be judged by our celebrity panel which includes: Denny Crane, Face from the A-Team, and more to be announced. If you would like to be a part of the show, just come down, sign up with The Secret Six by letting us know what your act will be. All proceeds will go to the Help Malton Fund, together we can find a cure...or enough shotgun shells.

June 14th

The Secret Six is now maintaining Nichols Mall and survivors are slowing moving in.

June 11th

The Malton Retirement Housing is still in Kersley Mansion and has it barricaded solid, with little-to-no zombie aggression against it beyond ferals.

June 7th

After Stanbury Village being reported as Orange, The Ridleybank Resistance Front annexes the suburb into Greater Ridleybank. RRF member, and owner of Kersley Mansion, Sonny Corleone is appointed as head of Stanbury Village.

June 1st

Kersley Mansion has been cleared by the Zombie Republic of Stanbury Village, made up of RRF pioneers and Stanbury zombies led by Sonny Corleone.

May

May 30th

Nichols Mall fell overnight from extremely heavily barricaded on all sides. Most survivors that were inside have fled or been killed. A few have moved back in to rebuild. Needless to say, the gennies are out of commision. Kersley Mansion on the other hand is well barricaded, with many old people milling about complaining of how it used to be...

May 28th

With the absense of a real zombie group in Stanbury Village the feral zombies and pioneers of the RRF secede Stanbury from the rest of Malton and wish it to be annexed by the RRF.

May 25th

An unnamed Malton Retirement Housing member was put behind bars and his dentures were confiscated after he was found on the rooftop shouting "Beardos an' Pwotters! (editorial note: which are the same thing basically) You miss'd me walker! Com' back an' take yer beatin' like men!". The old man was apparently sleeping while the siege was on and when the other Malton Retirement Housing members showed him the news he went berserk. "That (the behavior) is understandable" said an eyewitness, "he was sleeping the whole time the siege was on and missed all the fun. We saw him take a leak in Roftwood though, but the streets there smell like piss anyway."

May 16th

Kersley Mansion is empty.

May 1st

The Black Rhinos arive to help cull the hordes and issue medical aid to the wounded. Said to be ordered by NecroTech HQ.

April

April 26th

Stanbury belongs to the dead. They shall make cemeteries their Cities and mausoleums their Cathedrals.

April 19th

Stanbury is currently crawling with zombies, who have opened and cleared out most of the safehouses.

March

March 22nd

A rumour has been spread that Stanbury is overrun. It is not.

March 10th

By the evening, Nichols Mall had once again fallen to a group of yet unknown zombies. At the time of this report, there were no survivors within the complex and several remaining zombies were seen to be destroying the remaining barricades around the perimeter.

Pwotters aren't home right now, but if you leave your brain and number, they'll take care of you as soon as they can.

February

February 25th

Human survivors, perhaps from Roftwood, continue to hold Nichols Mall in battle against the Undeadites.

February 12th

Increasing human activity around the mall has attracted a group of zombies known as the Undeadites into the suburb. The re-emergence of the MRH has signaled an early return from the groups winter vacation spot. More interested in finding stashes of Super Polygrip than revivification syringes, the MRH have been seen in various areas of the suburb navigating their walkers over the debris in the streets.

January

January 18th

StanburyVillageWelcomeNoOne.jpg

After a somewhat uninspired attempt by local survivors to retake the DAPD, a gruesome addendum, written in gore, appeared on the an exit sign on the expressway leading into the suburb. It now reads: "Welcome to STANBURY VILLAGE - NO ONE LIVES HERE"

A matching sentiment could be seen downtown outside of the entrance to the Nichols Mall

January 7th

The words "The Tynte Mall in Pimbank is next" were seen, spraypainted, within the mall and throughout the surburb.

January 3rd

The barricades of the mall's southwest corner fell for more than a few moments soon after midnight, allowing a small army of zombies cut through the living defenders stationed there. By mid-morning, victory was certain and the survivors were in full retreat - or being devoured where they lay. That night, several Pwotters joined claws and moaned Gregorian chants. Zombie on the street Brawrmn'gr McGrerthraaa described the event:

"Graaaagh! BARHAH gramma gangbang!"
Translation:"It was like cracking open a femur and sucking out the delicious marrow. Barhah."

2005

December

December 31st

After Destroying most of western Stanbury Village, the Pwotters begin the seige of Nichols Mall. Within days, they are joined by hundreds of other zombies eager to take part in the next great mall seige after the siege of Caiger Mall.

Daynes Alley Police Department falls to the Pwotters. The GolemLabs Centurions were successful in briefly liberating the police station, but within minutes the Pwotters had knocked the barricades down from very strongly barricaded to loosely barricaded. Ryan Wilson, the commanding officer of the GolemLabs Centurions, saw the futility of having his small group attempt to defend the PD, and ordered a strategic withdrawal from the area. He was killed while the rest of his men escaped.

Stanstock looks to become the biggest gathering of dead bodies ever to lie in Stanbury Village -- and perhaps all of Malton! Petrosjko and many members of The Ridleybank Resistance Front call for a general strike saying that enough is enough.

A dozen zombie hordes, countless ferals and even the opposition, human survivors, converged for peaceful protest, revelry, kumbarhahya'ing, spamming, and inactivity in Whetcombe Park. Speak truth to power, leave guns and whining at home, and respect the fact that many of the bodies (formerly human or zombie) lying in Whetcombe Park have vowed never to stand up again until zombies get a fair shake. Harmanz and Zambahrz alike are joining in conversation as well, offering a temporary truce to the fighting in Malton. Many people took advantage of the ceasefire by killing strikers, and were extremely successful.

Petrosjko and other members of The Ridleybank Resistance Front cause mayhem in the warehouse south of Stribling Library; bargain shoppers in Nichols Mall load their shotguns and brace for possible assault.

December 14th

Massive numbers of zombies have begun to mass north of the Bunney Street Police Department, just across the border in Ridleybank. It is recommended that survivors along the northern border sleep in low-key targets away from the border to avoid being attacked during the night. The group Fazed have also been seen implementing Project Mayhem against past aggressions and known enemies of Fazed and attacking survivors in the BSPD, whether they are aligned with the Bunney Street Police Force or not. The BSPF has asked that any survivors in the area willing to fight the 'Terrorist' group report to the BSPD and do what they can to help eliminate Fazed members while healing friendly survivors.

After an absence of two months from the suburb, the Stanbury Renegades are back. Saromu, the leader of the Renegades, is glad to be home. But there hasn't been any parades or celebrations for The Stanbury Renegades because of the lack of defense of Stanbury Village during repeated attacks by non-group specific swarms of Zombies for two months. Even though the Stanbury Renegades have stated that they "declared war on all zombies and zombie hordes in Stanbury Village," survivors of these attacks failed to find any of the Stanbury Renegades at hand to help with the defense of the assaults. With just a word of advice to "not stay in Stanbury Village overnight," the Stanbury Renegades retreated from their namesake village and left the remaining survivors to fend off all the attacks by themselves. With the stated objective of the zombie group Pwotters to assault soon, the concern of the Stanbury Village survivors ability to fend off such a plotted and organized attack is also hampered by the fact that the survivors of Stansbury Village cannot count on groups claiming loyalty to Stansbury Village.

Though the Renegades have not been in Stanbury since October, they have returned. There are about 15 of them in the suburb, all without the group's name in their bio. After inspecting the suburb for two days, they claim that the suburb is safe and that no one needs to leave for the night. The Renegades do not make their missions public until well after it is over. Both of these reasons would explain why no one knew where they were during the attacks by zombie hordes. The Renegades lost 10 men at Bunney Street Police Department and an additional 10 at Nichols Mall when they left. Saromu, the leader of the Renegades, apologizes for his absence and promises to help fight in Stanbury.

Something strange has happened in the last few days. Zombies had been seen in and outside St. Maria's church as long as anyone can remember with their numbers swelling to forty and sometimes fifty strong. This church had been designated a revive point in the past until the zombies there became hostile. Residents began to be advised to issue a headshot or a revive due to the increasing combativeness of the horde. According to reports, the church has now been unbarricaded, and survivors and zombies alike have been spotted inside of it. Previous reports indicate that the body count outside of the church may range anywhere from 50 to 200 bodies. Zombies continue to roam around in large groups around Stanbury Village and are concentrating once again on several blocks, though their numbers are significantly smaller than before. Caution is still advised when in this suburb.

November

November 29th

In the true manic fashion characteristic of this suburb of Malton it now appears things may be safe in certain areas -- for now.

November 26th

Word is spreading very slowly that the zombies at St. Maria's are mostly hostile. Many of them are known to be members of the Pwotters zombie legion. Several messages have been spotted on buildings suggesting a new policy has been implemented there; they read "headshot or revive." Either way it is a feeding frenzy for zombies and a test of skill for survivors. Many buildings are breached, reclaimed and repaired in a single day.

November 22nd

Clusters of up to seven zombies have been spotted in the southern area of the suburb. St. Maria's Church was a designated revive point with the announcement sprayed on every available building. However, it is now known the zombies are exploiting this spot for their own agendas. Once everyone who came to the revive point wanted to live again. Survivors are now getting attacked by the zombies congregating at the church and often there are brain rot zombies milling around in the crowd that waste precious syringes.

October 22nd

After several losses in Stanbury Village, The Stanbury Renegades have retreated from their main safehouse to an undisclosed location. Saromu, the leader of the Renegades, has called for a guerilla war against the zombie menace. Do not stay in Stanbury Village overnight. Attack, run, and hide. With a Corn Cob Pipe in his mouth, Saromu was quoted saying "I came out of Stanbury Village and I shall return!"

October 14th

At 7 pm EST, Operation Free Nichols was carried out. Mayo Row PD, which was used as a rendezvous point for the attack, contained well over 100 survivors at the time, though only a very small fraction participated. The lack of support given to the operation marked it as a failure in a short amount of time.

October 11th

In response to the takeover of Nichols Mall, a coalition of The Stanbury Renegades, the PA Rebel Alliance, and VGCats Survivalist Union troops have coordinated to plan a retaliatory strike. They have advised all survivors in the neighboring suburbs that they are encouraged to join and help fight.

October 7th

The Ridleybank Resistance Front besieged Nichols Mall as retribution for the mall's role as a base of operations for hostilities into the neighboring suburb of Ridleybank. Within 24 hours, the northern half of the mall had collapsed under the assault. Within 48 hours the entire mall and several surrounding buildings were firmly under zombie control.

Shortly after the assault began, the Blood Frenzy Death Cult announced its existence and its goal to take Nichols Mall for itself. The two groups worked in unison to capture the mall. The size of this new group or its relation to the RRF is unknown at the moment, though the two groups appear to coexist peacefully.
