The mall is safe, all corners EHB and no zombies in sight. Overcrowding is now becoming a problem,as over 500 people are inside the mall. No zombies for 2 months--it's way too quiet. Theres 90 Zeds outside The Whippey Building but on 17 outside the east of the mall and none outside the west. Still theres definitly a battle coming, anyone who can come and join in the fun!

If you're on your way theres a warehouse a couple of blocks to the north, enter there.

- Update: The Whippey Building is lost, 17 Survivors inside holding against 75+ Zeds, looks like were holding this on our own.

Someone appears to be running through and re-tuning all the transmitters to random frequencies. Mall defenders please keep an eye on the transmitters and re-tune them to 26.80 if you see them on another frequency.

If you're going to stick around and defend Shearbank from the Bash, I'd strongly recommend you carry a radio tuned to 26.80. Many groups (not just the Mall) use that frequency as a sort of "Shearbank Common Defense" frequency. You cannot respond to a call for help if you do not hear it.--Mister Nathan Marbles 00:45, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Nothing has happened significantly;there are no zeds in the area and the mall has had no attacks on it since April. And yesterday a player had attacked and killed 3 people inside the south west corner of the mall.

May 2007

  • May 14

Yesterday a number of zombies came out of nowhere and attacked the NW quadrant of the mall. Rumors abound that they were associated with the Eastonwood Ferals, but that is unconfirmed at this time. Although the zombies were able to briefly ransack the corner, overwhelming response on the part of survivors has since restored the mall. There are currently no standing zombies within a two block radius around Stickling, and no revive cue to speak of at Allder Row. Either the threat has been neutralized, or this was a scouting party and the real attack is yet to come... --Ilta 19:08 (BST)

With well over one hundred survivors in the mall, and close to nil zeds in the area, all corners 'caded full and lighted, mission accomplished. -- Kell Tainer Sarkin, Malton Defense Corporation.

  • April 27th

An influx of survivors has allowed the defenders to reduce the small undead horde to a small pile of very much dead bodies while still holding the mall itself. A few zombies remain in the area (including four outside of Farrant PD), but most of the others seem to have wandered off. For the time being, at least, Stickling is once again well under human control. -- Ilta 17:54 (BST)

  • April 24th

Dawn breaks over Stickling to find it occupied by no more than seven zombies, with one corner still unransacked. Fighting has been very fierce of late, with the mall changing hands at least twice daily, as a small but dedicated band of local survivors fights against an equally small but dedicated horde of zombies -- neither side brings more than a few dozen to the fight. As of this writing, Whippey remains powered, well barricaded, moderately populated, and surrounded, while Allder Row is down to a steady cue of about 10. It is this reporter's opinion that the situation will not fully stabilize until one side is able to bring in significant reinforcements. -- Ilta 07:48 (BST)

The mall is getting attacked by zombies again. There's 20-30 survivors in the two northern parts of the mall, and every quarter is extremely heavily barricaded except for the southeast. There's 45 zombies in the mall, 55 around it. Many people seem to have run away or gone to Yagoton for a revive. Come on, survivors, we can still keep this mall! More than 100 zombies in the mall = dead mall. Everybody, unless we can all organize a kill+dump, there's nothing we can do, because the SE corner is ransacked. Bye, it's been fun.
Now would probably be a good time to leave the suburb until the Mall Tour gets bored and leaves. With the falling of Bale and Stickling the NW quadrant of Malton is a mess. Hope for the best survivors. --TheDuggler

Break-in in SE corner. I just logged in and saw 7 zombies in SE corner, 1 in NE corner, and 2 in SW corner. I'm out of AP moves, but I managed to close the door in the SE, and barricade up to lightly. People PLEASE! Check in often, so that we're not all sitting ducks in here.

Fluctuating between 15 to 30 zeds in SW corner, zeds breaking in by the minute in each corner. The cades are going down fast. If you have no AP or can't hold out, I suggest you get out to one of the resource points. If you can stand and fight, or cade, we need you in there now. I can't account for bodies, but things are going badly for the survivors inside. Nuff said. --HereticSoul MRS 22:07, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't know if it's bad or just worse. Number of zeds inside increases dramatically. Just logged on and about 40 zeds inside and no survivors fighting back. About 60 or less survivors left in the SE corner defending and being eaten. -- gone fishing 21 February 2007

Fighting continues to rage in and around Stickling Mall, the epic siege enters its fourth week. Break ins continue in both of the SE corner and at Whippey, fighting remains intense. Nearly 200 Zombies outside the SE corner, with 130+ survivors inside. --Electrasol 03:14, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Barricades continue to drop on various parts of the Mall and Whippey, with groans issuing from one of those 5 blocks on an almost hourly basis. A recent Whippey Break in saw at least 50 zombies enter, and numbers of survivors inside dropped to about 100 at one point, although most breaks are much less intense. --S.Wiers X:00 05:13, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
  • February 18th

Attacks have intensified today in the SW corner of Stickling Mall, which has diverted from the SE in what appears to be probing break-ins by "zombie packs". Also there are scattered reports of Whippney also under attack, can anyone give a definitive number of zombies attacking this mall?

Zombies are all over the suburb, and small groups of 8 or so are breaking into surrounding buildings and using feeding groans to eliminate the 5 or so survivors inside. The numbers on both sides continue to grow...

(Neutral) --ExLibrisNocturnis_00 18:27, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

  • February 17th

Neutral facts. Fact: Mall Tour and their allied PKers have shifted targets from Whippey to SE Stickling. Fact: active defense groups such as Lime Brigade have now adjusted to counter this tactic. Fact: given the current number of survivors inside SE and zombies outside, zombies do not have sufficent power to bust through and ransack. Fact: this siege has been going on for over three weeks now, with the mall holding strong against over 300 zombies and their PK/GK friends. --Pchem 23:41, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Yes, there is a lot of zombies in the mall. Now keep it NEUTRAL. --S.Wiers X:00 19:40, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Last time I checked, 24 zombies inside SE Mall corner. 81 zombies outside, barricades were coming down as fast as they were put up. There seems to be a weak survivor presence in the se. (Neutral) --ExLibrisNocturnis_00 13:14, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Non-neutral POV news item removed. Plan on your forums.--Bassander 17:19, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Updae - Whippey back at EHB. Same goes for most surrounding buildings. I got into a PD and ate 2 Harmans before they kicked me out, though. Yippe!

Whippey's wide open at 10:35 EST, got in as I ran out of AP, so I don't know the scale of the break in. PS. Send more Brains. --Electrasol 03:37, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Break-ins all over the place, but still upwards of 50 survivors in every corner and 150+ in Whippey. Decent amount of GKers and PKers, too. Fighting continues, but it looks like survivor numbers are dropping a bit.--Andre Aloisius 00:07, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
  • February 15th

All survivors be advised Whippey building needs any available assistance, we cannot afford to loose it!

Stickling is now the only mall in Malton under siege. Pretty soon we'll have an influx of new players coming from Bale, Caiger, and that other one.
Not much change. The horde continuous to grow, and break - ins are become more frequent. Humans seem to have rudely kicked me out of St. Christophers and rebarricaded, which is pretty dumb because it's an entry point. You can use and entry point with doors wide open and 10,000 zombies inside, but you can't use an EHB one, can you?
-St. Christopher's is ransacked again, but only one zombie inside.--Andre Aloisius 08:34, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
-Not anymore. Humans are back. I hope they EHB it, those headshotters.
  • February 14th

St. Christopher's has now been taken - we need to send a team there to clean up and rebuild. Zombies are active, and break-ins are frequent. Zombie presence at Mall is minimal. PROTECT the Whippey Building at all costs! There are now 500+! survivors in the mall, along with a tag : We will not let this mall fall!" it looks as though the siege will continue.WARNING TO ALL SURVIVORS IN THE AREA WE HAVE BREAK INS! LOCK AND LOAD PEOPLE!. be advised there are several groups that are zed sympathizers, shoot on sight, we have humans forum-spying to help the zeds, these people are to be shot as they indanger our operation.

  • February 13th

Now 312 zeds outside Whippey, 217 survivors inside. Only one standing zed outside the NE corner of the mall, he was cut down as I watched. I can't account for bodies. There have been few breakins in the last hour or so, and the number of survivors inside Whippey is increasing. Again, I can't account for bodies, but as of right now, there no standing zeds outside the mall, and few outside the surrounding buildings. Please remember to keep all surrounding buildings at EHB. --HereticSoul 02:08, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

  • February 12th

A massive crowd of zombies is outside Whippey, but there are now 200+ survivors inside Whippey (a new milestone). The largest coordinated attack of zombies today was repulsed with less than 15 zombies getting inside. While there are many standing zombies at Allder, most of those are brain rotters or other zeds from the Mall Tour, and any survivor revivification request at Allder using the DEM Tool has an extremely short wait time. Stickling and Shearbank are still holding strong, weeks into the siege. --Pchem 02:20, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Revive points are filling up, and zombie break-ins are more frequent. Entry points still overbarricaded by morons, and the zed populations are growing. All but a few zombies are at Whippey, with lots of zeds inside or breaking inside. Whippey will fall unless the harmanz camped in the mall defend it, but the question is - when? --[[User:|User:]] 12:36, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Whippey is clean and EHB.-- 19:58, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Not anymore. It seems around ths time daily the zeds make a push to overrun Whippey. Almost looks like the work of X:00, if, unlikely as it is, their influence has spread this far north. There were over 20 zeds when I last logged in, and survivors were being taken out regularly. The cades are falling fast. I didn't see how many survivors were left inside, but I imagine we're pretty evenly matched. If Whippey falls, it'll probably be during one of these onslaughts. Everyone: get out of the mall, and get inside Whippey. Now.--HereticSoul 21:46, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Whippey, 132 survivors. St Chris, 20. Stickling NW 103, NE 222, SW 60, SE 72. Zombies Whippey 250 standing, 144 lying. NW 14 standing, 72 sitting. About 40 at Allder's row, minus 1 I just revived. About 600 survivors to 480 zombies. But I didn't check the PD's this time, so it's about the same. --Zokolate 09:32, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

112 Harmanz inside Whippey Electrasol 23:10, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

27 zeds inside Whippey, with the cades at lightly barricaded. Enough survivors inside to take on the zombies breaking in, but it's happening fast. Most of the zombies (all but 21) have moved to the Whippey building. so the Mall's taking a lot less fire. We need people to move out of the mall and occupy Whippey. Yeah, unfortunately, that means we're all pretty much one big meat shield, but there's not much else to do.--HereticSoul 21:58, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Overbarricading still a huge problem in the immediate area around the Mall and extending in a net around 4 blocks to the south. --TheDuggler
There are currently 200 zombies outside the Whippey Building, which has become the main focus of the siege. They're being held at bay by 116 survivors. The mall is besieged by 70 zombies, with many more survivors inside. Things aren't looking too bad, by Channel 4 News Team standards, at least. If you know any zombies, point them in the right direction! --Ron Burgundy 03:57, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
  • February 8th

Barricades being torn down and put up very quickly. Survivors are running outside for raids so much, it's easy to level up. No more exp draining headshots, ha! anyways, zombies still number around 300 everywhere, with as many dead bodies. The numbers on both sides keep increasing, nobody seems to have an advantage. (we get reports on zombies every 3 seconds - how many survivors are in the mall? Somone should post that...) wooty 3:15, 8 Febuary 2007 (UTC)

OVER-BARRICADING KILLS! No current entry points that I know of. All the listed entry points are all beyond HB. Someone needs to make an entry point.Goldy496 02:46, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
scouting run done. For survivors, NW 115, NE 197, SW 63, SE 83. Whippey 86. Dundas, Owsley and St Christopher each have about 25-30. Zombies are 146 standing, 98 lying at Whippey. 109 standing, 95 lying at NW corner. It's about 620 survivors, 450 zombies. --Zokolate 11:33, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Over 300 zombies around Stickling and Whippey building... many break-ins, barriacades are failing...

Allder Row (24 zombies, 38 bodies); Whippey NT Bldg (86 zombies, 144 bodies); Stickling Mall NW (145 zombies). Brief breakin at Whippey around 13:00, but quickly closed up. --ExLibrisNocturnis_00 13:14, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

  • February 5th

The horde's getting pretty agitated. I went outside for a 5-minute raid, and lost nearly 40 HP in the process. Some of the zeds seem to be migrating towards St Christopher's, we're holding it down with the aid of the Channel 4 News Team, but things are still pretty hectic outside. --HereticSoul 18:31, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

It seems like the horde is frustrated, and rightly so. Mall survivor numbers are unchanged or actually rising in all corners, and the revives at Allder are still more or less instantaneous. GKers are common, but the defenders inside seem undeterred. --Pchem 22:05, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
  • February 4th

190 zombies outside, and about 160 dead bodies. Power is currently only in lower right corner. Generators are being killed as fast they are set up. There's a bit of over-barricading, as St. Christopher's Church is the only current entry point.Goldy496 00:25, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

About 30 minutes after the last guy posted, power is only in the west half. I don't even see why survivors in the mall are wasting 100's of perfectly good generators and fuel cans - there must be more gk'ers than zombies in there!
  • February 3rd

Zombies still numbering around 180. Power is on/off, as GKers are killing the power supply. Break-ins occur sporadically, but only one or two zombies get in before doors are closed and barricades are back up. Nothing else to report. There's around 150 dead bodies too. It's becoming a danger to be inside with low health, as zombies breaking in are dragging out as many survivors as possible before being repelled.

  • February 2nd

The siege is at a complete standstill. Nobody has or is gaining an advantage. Revives are going very efficiently. It seems that nothing is going to happen unless Mall Tour '07 changes it's plans and ransacks the Whippey building, or someone gets bored and leaves. wooty 23:30, 2 Febuary 2007 (UTC)

January 2007

  • January 31st

Not much new to report today. Break-ins are happening with a rythmatic regularity, and are being quickly repulsed by survivors and their bang sticks. The Whippey building has had no break ins for several days, and revives are running quite smoothly. The mall also has corners powered, but the distibution changes frequently as break-ins and GKers cause attrition. Redwave 03:11, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

3 zeds got in nw corner, taken care of. --FriLunch 21:09, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
  • January 30

The zombie horde outside of the northwest corner of Stickling has reached 150 and is still growing. The zombie horde hasn't bothered with the nearby Necro Tech building for some reason, and it still has a powered generator. For the moment, It seems as though people have stopped running outside screaming threats and killing zombies, and there's more people repairing barricades and more zombies bashing them down. Neither side seems to have an advantage.wooty45 9:22, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Members of the PTT, The Lime Brigade, Channel 4 News Team, and the Malton Rangers have been seen in force at Stickling mall, defending daily breakins of about 20. Revive ques are still short to nonexistent. --General Lee A. Dickhole Malton Rangers 01:13, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

On the Mall Information Center page, could someone change it from "Under Attack" to "Under Seige"?

I tried but I completely messed it up. There's over 120 zombies in northwest corner. Done. --Preasure 16:08, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Stickling's barricades are being smashed down continuously, and zombies are crawling all over. Some of the christmas lights and radios have been ransacked, but the survivors are killing off zombies as fast as they come in. Combat revives are rampant, and revived zombies are pk'ing survivors in revenge. wooty 10:00, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

There are currently twenty zombies in the south-west corner. One occasionally spills into one of the other areas, but they are usually killed and dumped quickly. -Mark 22:00, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Stickling suffers its first major break in, 15 Zombies in the lower right corner. It seems the Mall Tour has spread out across several fronts; the Upper Left corner, the Lower Right, and the Whippey Building. Time will tell if the gambit pays off. Things seem to be finally getting dangerous. Redwave 22:00, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

There is electricity in the air, the kind right before a good seige. The Mall Tour horde has already eaten 2 whole malls, can Stickling even stand a chance? Don't turn that dial! Redwave 00:00, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

The Lime Brigade is helping defend Stickling, and we're hoping other survivors will join in the fun. Yeah, Stickling stands a chance. --Pchem 19:07, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

2006

An alternative record of Stickling Mall in 2006 can be found at Stickling Mall/News Archive.

December 2006

Shacknews proved to be more potent than than the Big Bash. Stickling Mall fell to the same resource starvation tactics that brought down Caiger. The Zombie horde first deprived the survivors of the Whippey Necrotech facility. A few days later Stickling Mall fell with the largest defender group, PTT, sounding the call for retreat.

November 2006

With the mystique of Caiger having been devoured by the hordes, several residents of Stickling Mall have begun to proclaim their home as the new centre of humanity in Malton, citing their utter rout of the Big Bash as proof. Whether this boast proves prophetic or foolhardy is yet to be seen.

August 2006

With help from survivor groups the ACC, 4-H, FVZA, as well as many other members from miscellaneous groups and a handful of lone survivors, the operation is a success. --Inspector 20m813 (MPD) 20:55, 11 July 2006 (BST)

  • July 4th

Yet again, the mall was cracked open after the last operation. The ACC called for reinforcements to help them hold the mall for good this time. In a carefully planned assault the mall was once again cleared and secured; hopefully now as a permanent base in the suburb.

June 2006

  • June 21st

After having been cracked open yet again on ~19th; the Mall was cleared out in an operation by the ACC working with local groups and unaffiliated survivors. Zombie attacks through the night inflicted heavy casualties on the relatively few survivors holding it. However the zombies were overcome and forced out; the Mall is under human control, but this is a fragile situation and reinforcements are urgently needed.

Stickling is currently safe and heavily barricaded in most areas . Groups of Zombies are starting to form but the human activity should be enough to hold them back . If your in Shearbank now is the time to populate the mall and fight of the Zombie hordes . Most buildings around the Mall including the Nerotech building are secure , barricaded and populated . I see the dawn of human population of Shearbank along the Horizon.

February 2006

  • February 28th

All is quiet in Stickling. Minor zombie activity ouside of the mall, but the mall itself and the entire suburb of Shearbank are relatively in hand. NOTE that the Mall is currently only accessable to free runners. There's no shortage of solidly defended places to get into around the mall (if you're looking for a place to crash or an entry point).

Pre-History

Stickling Mall was the site of the last human holdout in Shearbank when The Many attacked the suburb beginning August 28th, 2005.

During the period of DARIS control over Shearbank, Stickling Mall was a well-known danger-zone for non-DARIS members.

After 3 days of co-ordinated attacks starting on December 30th, The Gray took Stickling Mall. The combined efforts of The Gray and over a hundred ferals caused survivors to flee the NE corner. Once the NE corner was clear zombies were able to stand inside and keep the way open. By evening on January 2nd the zombies in the mall outnumbered the humans. On Jan 3rd the mall was completely emptied of survivors. Many of the zombies associated with the siege have gone on to join Mall Tour '06.
