Strutt Towers

Location

Strutt Towers is an abandoned housing block and the mobile phone mast for Mockridge Heights, it is located at co-ordinates 43,65.

The Strutt Towers are, in and of themselves, twenty stories high. This combined with their position almost on the tip of Mockridge Hill makes them the absolute highest point in Malton, as well as an ideal point for the position of the suburb's phone mast.

History

Built in the 1980's, Strutt Towers was originally designed to provide cell phone service for all of Mockridge Heights. 2 years after completion, a small McMonalds was built on the lower floor to provide fast food service to employees of Maltel. Other companies soon followed and the lower floor was converted into a food court and gift shop. In 1998, a fire destroyed the entire lower floor, killing 2 people and injuring 14 others. Three months later, the bottom floor was renovated into a large lobby. When the zombie outbreak started, Strutt Towers was occupied and barricaded to prepare for a zombie attack.
