Suggestion description
Discussion please? This is dead on the water.

After reading comments on the developing suggestion, I'll try it one more time. If it doesn't work this time, then it's probably final.

I purpose a new skill named Cripple, under Rend Flesh. When a zombie with the cripple skill hits a survivor with a claw attack, the survivor is tagged as 'crippled'. The skill does no additional damage, only tags the survivor as such.

Now, if anyone (including the survivor himself) tries to heal the crippled survivor, three things may occur:

  • Healing survivor has no healing skills: crippled survivor gains 4HP
  • Healing survivor has First Aid: crippled survivor gains 9HP
  • Healing survivor has Surgery, and is healing in a powered hospital: crippled survivor gains 15HP, and loses the crippled status.

Note that First-Aid is more efficient than usual as compared to a normal FAK on a crippled survivor.

If the survivor is killed, the crippled status is removed. A normal FAK can still remove an infected status from crippled survivors, only HP healing is affected. A survivor with the Diagnosis skill sees the crippled survivors' HP with an asterisk mark on them (as zombies see infected survivors).

  3. Keep - Not the best but it'll do pig.--karek 04:25, 3 July 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Sorry, I just don't see it as a good use of zed xp, considering all it does is remove one hp from the victim and 1 xp from the doctor that heals the victim. --PFC Casper 01:56, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - Underpowered and annoying --Magentaine 02:20, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill - Underpowered is NEVER a reason to vote kill, only minor changes are good because major ones unbalance it. Still, This would basically cripple everyone in malton except those who hang out in hospitals. One HP just aint worth finding a hospital.--Wooty 04:48, 3 July 2007 (BST)
I object, underpowered is a great reason. Check Dos and Do Nots and see "underpowered does not equal balanced". (also, in before an uptight mod blanks this comment for LOL NON AUTHOR RE) --Magentaine 07:40, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  4. Kill So, when I touch you, you suddenly get a limp? --User:Axe27/Sig 04:59, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill - Wooty wrote it --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 07:37, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  6. Kill -- Underpowered may not be a good reason to vote kill, but stupid is. --Firemanrik 07:53, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  7. Kill - Blarg?-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 08:56, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  8. KIll - What Wooty said. - BzAli 10:25, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  9. Kill - This idea is lame (pun intended). --The Hierophant 12:37, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  10. Kill - No.Just one HP and no one cares about this cripple thing.Seriously,it is just annoying... --Perne 12:42, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  11. Kill - Nothing wrong with it per sé. But it has no noticable effect for the zombie who buys it and negliable effect for the survivor. I don't see what fun it would add to the game.-- Vista  +1  12:48, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  12. Kill - I like the basic idea, but the damage done should be to a greater effect. --ZombieSlay3rSig.pngT 16:27, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  13. Kill - Underpowered. So it takes away one HP from FAKs. So what? If someone is healing a crippled survivor, this is just a chance to get more XP from healing (because it takes longer to get the survivor to full HP). --Saluton 16:52, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  14. Kill Don't make fun of the crippled children. Li ba da Timmy. And it was good until you said "needs to be in powered hospital." --Sonny Corleone RRF CoL DORIS Hunt! 17:03, 3 July 2007 (BST)
  15. Kill - Doesn't seem to achieve much. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 04:38, 4 July 2007 (BST)
  16. Above, above, above, above, above... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 22:56, 8 July 2007 (BST)
  17. Kill - Underpowered, underwhelming and counterintuitive. Would make more sense if you replaced the irrelevant heal penalty with a 1 AP move penalty instead. Eugene the Zombie 16:46, 15 July 2007 (BST)
