20070824 FAK Boost in NT

SAMW3 04:43, 24 August 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Improvement.

Suggestion scope
Players with the skill "Lab Experience" and healing in an NT.

Suggestion description
I was recently playing the game and had to heal a fellow survivor in an NT. I have the "First Aid" skill and I healed him for 10 points. But then I got thinking. An NT is a lab that the technicians use to manufacture syringes to revive zombies. So naturally they would have some equipment there that could be put to good use healing people. They wouldn't be a full fledged ER, but they would be able to help somewhat. So what I'm proposing is, why not allow people with "Lab Experience" to use the equipment in the lab of an NT to heal an extra 2 points? This would make it more representative of a zombie outbreak in that, if you were a scientist you would use all the skills at your disposal to help others, even if you weren't necessarily qualified to.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep--  Savant  Chit-Chat  06:54, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Keep/Change - Surely a lab would have some sort of healing equipment. I mean, they can bring zombies with Brain Rot back to life. However, I suggest one tiny addition: the bonus only be offered in a powered NecroTech Building. --Anotherpongo 09:29, 24 August 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. That's what hospitals are for (even though this is "weaker"). The game is too centered around malls and NTs to nerf other buildings.--Pesatyel 06:30, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - Exactly what hospitals are for. Maybe non-rot revives less AP? --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 07:17, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill - As Dux. With interest about the cheaper revive point.--Seventythree 13:00, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  4. Kill - As Dux.--Brainz 13:27, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill - As Dux. Make this a suggestion about making rot-revive points cheaper... and that would help anyone looking to whup Extinction. Nalikill 13:33, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  6. Having worked ion a research lab, I can say with confidence that not only was it hard to find a FAK there (despite OSHA regulations) but that the environment was NOT any boost to medical care (think office building, only with more dangerous chemicals). Science != Healthy. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 14:12, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  7. Kill - As Dux      Ekashp wuz here (aht harman bra!nz!)        15:56, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  8. Kill - as Seb said science != health care --~~~~T''' 16:13, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  9. Weak Kill - I see where you're coming from, but this sort of nerfs hosptitals. And above makes some good points. BoboTalkClown 16:36, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  10. Kill - Laboratory != Hospital. Syringes != Medical supplies. --Saluton 16:55, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  11. Kill - Silly. What you're basically saying is that a geologist should be really good at particle physics, because both are sciences. Or a painter should be really awesome at film editing, because both are under the rubrick or "art"? No... two different fields, two different abilities. 'Sides, it's a broken idea anyway, an overpowered and unbalanced change to NTs. --WanYao 02:05, 25 August 2007 (BST)
  12. Kill - As above --Druuuuu 05:35, 25 August 2007 (BST)
  13. Kill - as dux.-- Vista  +1  11:33, 4 September 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - hospitals --Sonny Corleone RRF CoL DORIS CRF pr0n 07:09, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Spam - We already have a building where you can heal 15 AP with an extra skill. As above. --Thelightguy 07:54, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  3. Spam - Its a lab set up for science, not a hospital set up for patients. Have you ever actually seen chemistry labs before? They arent real big on surgury. Usually theres just the shower thing and the eyewash, and thats it. Besides, this would make NT's way too defensible. --The Grimch Mod-U! 10:52, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  4. Spam - No justification for it. --The Hierophant 21:04, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  5. Idiocy - Oh yay, hospitals have no purpose.--Karekmaps?! 23:05, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  6. Spam - As above. -- Pavluk 00:17, 25 August 2007 (BST)
  7. Spam - Would you like fries with that spam? Now if you were asking for a FAK boost in an unbarricaded church(hey... they're showing faith in SOMETHING at least by not being barricaded) then i'd laugh and vote keep but we already have plenty of reason to want to be in an NT and no reason for half the other buildings. --Bahhab 13:56, 29 August 2007 (BST)
  8. NecroTech buildings are research facilities, not hospitals. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 22:59, 6 September 2007 (BST)
