20071003 Retune Radio Transmitter Tweak

DoctorRevive 22:09, 3 October 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Skill/Improvement Change

Suggestion scope
Allow everyone in room to see when Radio Transmitter Frequency is changed, what is is changed to, and who changed it.

Suggestion description
As with other recent Updates, you can see who smashes a Generator, who takes down a Barricade, who destroy's a Radio Transmitter, who starts rebuilding Barricades, and who installs/fixes Generators and Radio Transmitters.

This allows you to see who is hurting/helping out in your building so you can identify the good and the bad. Well anyone that's been in a secure area like a mall or a fort knows that sometimes simply changing the freqeuncy on the Radio Transmitter can hurt or help out as well. Many PK/Zed groups will intentionally enter and area and change all the radio freq's to random frequency's to disrupt things. There is no way of knowing anything has happened unless you specifically look at the radio Freq after every action.

All i am suggesting is that when someone changes the frequency, everyone in the room will see "(Username) changes the Radio Transmitter Frequency to (Frequency Chosen)".

This way, as with other building or destroying actions, you see who's doing what.

Keep Votes

  1. Auxilary keep I'm fairly sure this is a dupe but I'm too busy/lazy to find a link. If anyone finds one, I'll vote dupe. -- Studoku 21:15, 3 October 2007 <--- Hey you! Remember to sign! I added it for you.
  2. Keep' - Realistic - if you're watching the radio, you'd notice... --Pgunn 02:06, 4 October 2007 (BST)
  3. keep - Sometimes it is an accident if you dont change it back, but this will help tack repeat offenders. doc crook 02:51, 4 October 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Conditional Kill - But only becuase I use this tactic as a PKer. BoboTalkClown 21:32, 5 October 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - Because I don't vote spam. Plus, this will only get people killing each other for pointless reasons, and all you need to do is change the transmitter's frequency. Plus, you can only hear what goes on in your safehouse. --Howard Bentley 22:43, 3 October 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill - Oh yay, lets have radio freq. bounty hunters now.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:47, 3 October 2007 (BST)
  4. Kill - We don't need to know ever little thing that happens. --Sonofagun18 05:57, 4 October 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill - There you are, standing in the middle of a crowded room and somebody changes the channel. Are you really going to see it first or will you hear that the radio is on a different station? Besides that, in the time it takes for you to go check the dial, the person could easily blend into the crowd. --Uncle Bill 06:50, 4 October 2007 (BST)
  6. Kill - as Uncle Bill --~~~~ [talk] 07:25, 4 October 2007 (BST)
  7. Kill - Not that realistic.--SeventythreeTalk 07:42, 4 October 2007 (BST)
  8. Feh... kill - All you need to do is look at the screen text and change it back to what it's meant to be, if necessary. And carry a hand-held to be sure of getting important messages. In other words, it's not needed. --WanYao 10:57, 4 October 2007 (BST)
  9. Kill - As stated above, anyone who really wants to listen to a particular channel will carry a portable, anyone who wants to broadcast should set the frequency themselves before doing so. The last thing we need is OPERATION TRENCHY JUSTICE targeting people who simply want to broadcast on another channel. --Pestilent Bob 01:22, 6 October 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  4. Spam - Useless step along a slippery slope which will eventually include notifications reading "The Grimch had you selected in his attack dropdown ( 02:31, 4 October 2007 (BST) )" --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 02:31, 4 October 2007 (BST)
